According to Anime News Network, Nelvana Enterprises and Vivendi Entertainment will be releasing the first volume of Beyblade: Metal Fusion on November 9th. This series has been airing on Cartoon Network since June of 2010. The volume will run for 154 minutes. Here is a link to the DVD at RightStuf.com. The New York  Anime Festival/Comic Con took place last weekend, and there were very few acquisition announcements except for Crunchyroll, who  scooped up quite a few series for simulcast.  There was a some good news as Bandai announced their acquisition of the Gundam 00 movie, "A wakening of the Trailblazer."  They also plan a release of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series with both the dub and English subtitles.  Sadly,  no new announcements from FUNimation.

Appearing at the Comic Con was American comic icon, Stan Lee.  He and Yoshiki Hayashi, co-founder of the X Japan rock band, announced their collaborating on a new project.  I was hoping to hear that there would be another season of Heroman, but that did not happen.  I’m still keeping my fingers crossed especially after that little teaser at the end of the series....

According to AnimeNewsNetwork, Nelvana Enterprises is planning a new Bakugan series entitled, "Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge." They’ve also announced more Beyblade plans with the new series entitled, "Beyblade: Metal Masters." Nelvana will be presenting these to potential licensees at the trade show, MIPCOM, which takes place in Cannes, France. (NOTE: Obviously, they come up with revisions to the current Spin Master/Sega Toys, and this is a way to promote them. That's a good thing for Bakugan/Beyblade fans!!)

Did anyone catch the anime reference on Cartoon Network’s live action show, "Unnatural History?" In the beginning of the episode, "Now You See Me", Henry is getting attention from all of the Clubs. Jasper comes up to him saying, "Did you check out the anime table? They're giving away free manga!" Being the anime enthusiast that I am, it caught my attention. By the way, check out the show...it's really good! Here's a bit of trivia; did you know that Henry of "Unnatural History" and Kendall of "Big Time Rush" were brothers? It's true.

This Saturday (or Sunday am depending on your time zone) fans of Bleach will see their favorite show return to the midnight slot (Eastern time). Following Bleach will be repeats of Kakkaishi and Fullmetal Alchemist. Good news for those that want to go to bed earlier.

Sad news for those watching Digimon Xros Wars weekly. Looks like the next new episode won't be airing until October 12th. It's gonna be tough, but we'll just have to be patient. You can check out Toei's site HERE!
