It's been months and months, but this Saturday, August 28th (or Sunday if you're in the Eastern time zone) marks the beginning of new dubbed episodes of Bleach on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. The episode is 168, which involves Gin's replacement as the Captain of Squad Three, Shusuke. You don't want to miss it!

For those who may have Insight Communication as your cable provider, you might want to check out the "Free" section of their on-demand channel. I just discovered that the Funimation Channel is there, and it contains so many great episodes! Where have I been all this time?!? Oh yeah....working....

A great night for Bleach Fans. If you didn't catch them when they aired previously or just want to watch them again, don't miss Bleach movies 1 and 2 on CN's Adult Swim airing late this evening (or technically early Sunday morning). Both are excellent and worth the all nighter. Next week Bleach episodes 166 and 167 air making way for new episodes beginning August 28th.

In licensing news; FUNimation announced their acquisition of the supernatural anime series, Ga-Rei: Zero and Crunchroll adds the 2007 film, 5 Centimeters per Second. (Was that brief enough...)

FUNimation, as well as Bandai Entertainment , announced acquisitions at last weekend’s Otakon convention. FUNi announced they acquired Strike Witches 2, Shukufuku no Campanella, Okami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi, Hetalia World Series, and the license save, Girls Bravo. In addition, they acquired the motion pictures Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Ginmaku Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White [Shiroku Nure!].

Announcements for Bandai included the Sora o Kakeru Shoujo series, the My-Otome O ~S.ifr~ OVA, and the manga, Bakumatsu Ibun-roku Code Geass – Hangyaku no Lelouch.

Wow… looking over all the acquisitions recently, I see that there is very little from Japan’s Summer lineup that has NOT been licensed. It’s only a matter of time before one of our networks picks up Digimon Xros Wars. In the next 6 months we’ll know for sure. Speaking of Digimon Xros Wars, the design for that section is complete. I’m really happy with the banner and how everything turned out. Of course, updating that section will be an on-going process and suggestions are always welcome.
