New Sentai Licenses! Sunday, July 24, 2011

Sentai Filmworks announced this week their acquisition of three excellent titles; the first being "Ikoku Meiro no Croisee", the 2nd was "RO-KYU-BU", the story of a girl's basketball team, and finally "Kami-sama no Memo-cho", a series about a reclusive detective girl. All great series, but sadly don't expect a dub for any of these. It appears they will be released as sub only unless Sentai changes their mind. I'm just very grateful there's a dub for Angel Beats, because I just received my copy this weekend. Now if I only had some time to watch it!

And today the site has been updated with he following:

Images added of Digimon Xros Wars Episode 44.
Images of Bakugan Mechtanium Surge Episodes 18 & 19 added.
Info on Ventus Taylean added to the Bakugan area.
Bakugan Mechtanium Surge Episode Guide brought up to date.
Images of Bleach episode 331 added.
Added Beyblade Avatars to that Extras section.

Some of CN's Adult Swim episodes airing Sunday AM (Eastern), July 31th:

12:00md Bleach: "Episode 215" New!
12:30am Durarara: "Active Interest" New!
1:00am Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: "Return of the Fuhrer" New!
1:30am Kekkaishi: "A Day in the Life of Yoshimori"

It's still so darn hot....stay cool... (^_^)

Announcements from Anime Expo! Sunday, July 3, 2011

Anime Expo is currently taking place, and there have been numerous announcements so far. The one that excited me most was the VIZ acquisition of the 3rd Bleach movie, Fade to Black. They, also, added the movie, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.

Not to be outdone, Funimation added to their library; Deadman Wonderland, Steins;Gate, Baka to Test to Shokanju Ni!, B Gata H Kei, and Asobi ni Iku yo! They've also added DVD, Blu-ray Disc, digital, and broadcast rights for the television anime series C. Can't say that I'm a huge fan of all the titles, but there are definitely a few that I'll be purchasing.

On to Bandai... They've announced the rights to Sacred Seven, which will stream on Hulu and Crunchyroll. For those interested, there is no news yet on whether Star Driver will have an English dub.

Then Aniplex of America announced at its panel that it will release the Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Blue Exorcist television anime series on home video. No word of a dub. Wrapping up what I know so far from Anime Expo is NIS America's acquisition to the 1st Kimi ni Todoke anime series and the Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera anime series. It's too early for Sentai's panel, but I'm sure they'll come up with something good.

Finally, before the convention even started, Media Blasters announced their acquisition of both seasons of Bakuman. This series is about a couple of students who want to break into the Manga business and soon learn that it's not that easy. I'm looking forward to this one as well.

Now the site updates, which are:

Images added of Digimon Xros Wars Episodes 28 and 40.
Sket Dance was added to the New From Japan 2011 area.
Images of Bakugan Mechtanium Surge Episodes 14 & 15 added.
Info on the bakugan, Aquos Krakenoid added to the Bakugan area.
Info on the Visored added to the Bleach Section.
Images of Bleach episodes 327 and 328 added.

Some of CN's Adult Swim episodes airing Sunday AM (Eastern), July 10th:

12:00md Bleach: "Episode 212" New!
12:30am Durarara: "Rampant Evil " New!
1:00am Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: "Flame of Vengeance" New!
1:30am Kekkaishi: "Sweet Ghost"

Happy 4th of July for those celebrating... (^_^)
