Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer! 1st thing on the agenda is to remind all those Pokemon fans out there that McDonald’s Happy Meals will be carrying Pokemon Black & White toys for the next few weeks. The promotion just started today.

Good news from Media Blasters this week. They announced the acquisition of the anime series "Squid Girl" a.k.a. Shinryaku! Ika Musume. It's a very cute series about a Squid Girl who vows revenge on humans for polluting the seas. This seems like a different genre than MB normally picks up, but I’m happy. It’s a definite buy for me. They will be releasing the series in two sets of 6 episodes each, and there's even a dub!! Look for it the end of September.

Last but not least; A new season of Gundam is upon us. Recently announced, Gundam Age will commence broadcast with the Fall line-up in October. You can check out a trailer here. Unlike Gundam 00, this series appears to be aimed at a younger audience, but if you're a true Gundam fan, than that shouldn't be an issue. This site will carry the episode images as soon as they become available.

Sorry for the delay. I took a much needed vacation and had so much fun! While I was gone, there were a few announcements. One of which being that the action series, Durarara, will be coming to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in June. Many consider this one of the best series of 2010.

In addition, Anime Central boasted a few new acquisitions from Sentei Filmworks. Amagami and MM! will be released on DVD most likely in subtitle only format. Each series is a romance-type with MM! taking the term "Love Hurts" to an extreme (^_~). And let's not forget Funimation's announcement of the acquisition of Is This A Zombie? (Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?) and the upcoming Fullmetal Alchemist movie, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (I wouldn't be surprised if that Movie hit Adult Swim as well).

Since the last update there have been a couple of announcements. Sentai Filmworks by way of anime distributor Section 23 Films announced that they will be releasing on DVD and Blu-ray the series Hyakka Ryoran Samurai Girls. You can look forward to that 12 episode series in August of this year. Be ready for an overload of fan service and an English dub in that release!!

In addition, Funimation announced the DVD/Blu-Ray distribution of the cute anime series, Princess Jellyfish a.k.a. Kuragehime. Thanks to a great response to a Facebook inquiry, you can look forward to this release sometime in 2012. See...your opinion does matter!
