Everyone got their Christmas shopping done? No?? Me neither! But aside from that, I happened to be Googling recently when I came across this great website. Countdown Anime shows the anime titles airing in Japan and when you can expect the next episode. There's tabs for OVA's, Movies, and even upcoming new series. Anyone who hasn't seen it yet should check it out!

Interesting tidbit: According to Anime News Network, Media Blasters plans to dub two of their properties, Loveless and KashiMashi (Girl meets Girl). Both were previously released with subtitles only, but you can expect an English dub sometime early in 2011.

Rev up those engines and prepare yourself for the premiere of Speed Racer on Cartoon Network! The movie is scheduled to air this Wednesday, November 24th at 4:00pm (Eastern time)!

This was a very good movie that unfortunately was released at a bad time and didn't get the viewers it deserved. Harry Potter and Indiana Jones were released at the same time, and those acts are hard to follow. If you haven't seen it, you're going to be pleasantly surprised.

Whether you want to fill a gap in your anime collection or just sample a new series, Hamilton's a.k.a. Hamilton Books is liquidating much of their stock to the tune of incredible prices! Just enter "anime" in the description area of the Search function to check it out. I've ordered from them in the past and have never had a problem.

Funimation this week announced license rescues for the series Noir, Excel Saga and Bubblegun Crisis 2040. These titles were previously released by ADV. I recall several years ago when the members of ADV were discussing just how great the title Noir was doing for them. Funny...and a bit depressing how things change.
