Wow! Went on vacation and came back to all kinds of good news. I think the most exciting was the launching of the Digimon Xros Wars Website by TV Asahi, which proves without a doubt that the new series is legit and will commence airing in Japan in July of this year.

The next bit of good news was hearing that the new Beyblade series (Metal Fight/Metal Fusion) will debut on Cartoon Network. Canada's YTV had already announced that it will begin airing the series on May 15th.

On a recent licensing note; Funimation acquired House of Five Leaves (Sarai-ya Goyou) and The Tatami Galaxy (Yoj?-Han Shinwa Taikei) from Fuji TV. They are airing these series within hours of their Japanese airing. For the record and just my honest opinion (which doesn't amount to much), I really dislike the animation style (image above) of both of these series.

When an Icon of a Site such as Anime News Network posts an announcement, it makes one sit up and take notice. So when they showed evidence that a new Digimon anime was imminent, it makes one believe that the rumors are true. Apparently, an online retailer has listed a set of Digimon Straps on their website with images they claim are the new characters in the Digimon series set to air sometime this Summer. Looks promising....we'll keep you updated when more information becomes available.

On a licensing note; Funimation has been busy at Anime Boston and Sakura-con this weekend. They've announced their acquisition(s) of the Eden of the East Movie, Spice and the Wolf II, and (rescue) Chobits. Good things to look forward to!

Are you a Naruto Shippuden fan? Did you miss some episodes? Then you're in luck! On Saturday, March 27th beginning at 8:00pm Eastern Time, Disney XD is holding a "Battle of the Puppets" Marathon. The Marathon will air until 11:00pm and begin with the episode "Hiruko vs. Two Kunoichi". Get the popcorn ready!

Sentai Filmworks gave us a very pleasant surprise this week when they announced the dubbing of several of their properties. We can look forward to English dubs for the Clannad, Blue Drop, Ghost Hound, Legends of the Dark King: A Fist of the North Star Story, and Tears to Tiara anime series. They further announced that the dub of the series Clannad will air on their Anime Network Video-on-Demand channel. Now all we need is a Gintama dub. Wouldn't that be great!?

Almost a year after Collection 1 was released, Digimon Data Squad Collection 2 is now showing up as a pre-order on the Walmart Website. The actual release date states May 25th. Speaking of Digimon....there is a rumor going around that a new season may hit Japanese airwaves next year. This is just a rumor. When more information becomes available, I'll post it here.

Sentai Filmworks (formerly ADV) made some additional announcements this week. They have added Asu no Yoichi, Hell Girl 2, and Eyeshield 21 to their ever growing library. Because of these new licenses, I've made that the subject of the next poll. I want to see what you prefer.
