Eren stares at Gunther's lifeless body in disbelief. Oluo pushes him forward saying they must keep going. Within the forest, the unknown traitor has again transformed to the female Titan.
Eren is ready to go into Titan mode, but the remaining Levi squad beg him to trust them. Sadly, one by one Eren's squad members are killed by the Female Titan. Eld is bit in half. Petra is crushed against a tree, and Oluo is kicked and thrown violently against the trees.
In a fit of uncontrolled anger and regret, Eren bites down on his hand and converts to Titan! He comes charging at the female Titan, and the two engage in an all out battle. Mikasa recognized Eren's Titan yell and races in his direction. She arrives in time to see the Female Titan slice apart Titan Eren and swallow the boy.
"Give him back!" Mikasa demands giving chase.
Meanwhile, Captain Levi has arrived in the general area. Seeing the bodies of his squad weighs heavily on him, but he knows he must push forward. He catches up to Mikasa and grabs her. "Hold back," he tells her. Then asks if she believes Eren is still alive?
