ZATCH BELL a.k.a. KONJIKI NO GASH BELL

On his 14th birthday, Kiyo's father assigned Gash Bell as his trainer. Kiyo was sarcastic, moody and felt others were inferior to himself. In elementary school he use to have many friends, but as the years passed and Kiyo became smarter, his friends began to get jealous. By the time Kiyo entered junior high he had no friends at all. He use to run away from trouble telling himself that he was weak, but fact is, he was scared. Gash helps Kiyo gain both strength and courage.

Cute, little Gash (Zatch) was found near death in a forest in England by Kiyo's father, Seitarou. Gash wanted to return the favor so Seitarou asked him to discipline his foolish son who thinks he is too smart to go to school. Unfortunately, Gash lost most of his memories and the only hint of his past is the red book he carries with him. When Gash learns the reason for his existence on Earth, he fights hard to win the Demon Master's fight so he may become a kind demon king.

Kind Suzume is a classmate and friend of Kiyo's. She is very fond of Kiyo and would love to have him as her boyfriend. She met him when he tutored her in mathematics. Suzume doesn't think of herself as very smart, and she couldn't be more right. This girl is truly an airhead.

Sherry was born into the prestigious Belmond family, but life was not perfect. As a child, she was constantly pushed and belittled by her overbearing mother. She jumped from a bridge into a river and was saved by a poor girl named Koko. Koko became a good friend until she partnered up with the demon, Zophise. When Zophise attacked Sherry, Brago saved her and gave the rich girl his own book of spells. Now Sherry feels it's her duty to burn all the books she can find.

Brago became Sherry's partner after he saved her from a demon's attack. He hates the fact that they must pair up with a human in order to get stronger. Even though he believes that humans are weak creatures, he'll do whatever it takes to become demon king. When Brago is given the command "Raise," he is able to emit bright purple orbs of invisible, concentrated power.

OMG this character is flamboyant. Parco is an Italian actor from Milano, Italy. He's cool, popular with the girls, has been in movies, and even released CD's. His demon partner is Kanchome. When Parco was first introduced in episode 11, the only spell he knew was a transformation spell. Unfortunately, Kanchome is not a very strong demon, but what he lacks in strength is definitely gained in energy.

Vulcan 300 is Gash's (Zatch's) number one friend. It's made from an empty box of Japanese snacks and disposable chop sticks. It took Kiyo only 5 minutes to whip him up, and it's purpose was to keep the child occupied while Kiyo is away.
