From his demeanor, one would think that tamaki is a timid boy, but that would be a wrong assumption. He may look afraid, but tamaki would be the 1st to run into a perilous situation to save someone in danger. As All Might once told him, the sign of a true Hero is when your body seems to react on its own.
Not only does he prove his bravery over and over again, tamaki is a brilliant strategist. His quick thinking is as impressive as his reaction time. And no other character can come close to the amount of heart tamaki displays, which is why he isn't afraid to openly shed tears (although All Might would like him to ease up on the waterworks).
As mentioned above, tamaki received the 'One for All' quirk from All Might, however, the boy must learn how to harness that power. As the story goes on tamaki learns what that power can do to his body. Not only that, but with great power, comes great responsibility (I had to put that in).... Other heroes will become rivals, and villains will be gunning for him. Somehow tamaki surpasses all that and becomes the greatest hero of all time (at least that's what he says when he narrates the episodes)!
