Chapter 7
"Let me go! Kouji exclaimed. Don't hurt anyone." "What do they matter to you? You're not even an actual person in their own body. I don't think you matter to them. You're not your self." Rizegreymon said. "What?" Kouji asked confused. "That's right you heard me. It's all true." Rizegreymon said. Cory, Leo, and Reavqmon were confused. The digimon were just as confused. Kouji felt himself trembling. "What do you mean?" Kouji asked weakly. He was getting weaker by the minute. "You're a person in disguise. You're not your true self. Why do you think you can't remember anything before a few months ago." Kouji thought about it. It was true. "I..I can't." He said. "Hmph. I have wasted enough time talking l, it's time to destroy you all!" Rizegreymon said.
He threw Kouji to the ground where the last thing he saw was Rizegreymon firing his attack. He then blacked out.

"Wake up Kouji. Please wake up." When Kouji heard Eva`s voice he woke up. "Oh good your awake finally. Are you all right?" She asked him. Kouji felt like he had been asleep a long time. "Yes and how long was I asleep? Kouji asked. "Well for about two days." "Two days! How?" He exclaimed. "Well after you blacked out Rizegreymon called out a strange digimon that put a spell or something on you." "Okay and how are the others?" He asked. "They are fine, see." Kouji didn't even notice them while they were talking. But he did now.
They were just sitting around doing well...nothing. "Why are they just sitting there?" Kouji asked. "They said they didn't have anything to do but I think they just wanted to make sure you were alright." She said. "Oh." He replied. He never thought his friends were like that. "How did you escape? He asked. His thoughts were all out of order. That was why he kept forgetting to ask the most important things. "Well after that digimon that put a spell on you was destroyed by Rizegreymon, even though it was his own servant, he got distracted by something at the edge of the clearing. There was a big explosion and that's when we got away from there." She explained.
Then something hit him. It was what Rizegreymon said. Kouji thought that Rizegreymon might have been right. It was true he couldn't remember anything before a few months ago. Kouji must have been frowning or something because Eva noticed it. "I know what you are thinking right now and it might not be true. She said. "But it is. It's true that I can't remember anything before a few months ago. I've always have felt out of place but never told anyone. I just don't know who I really am." Kouji said.
Kouji tried to remember back as far as he could. No use. He thought. Eva looked like she was about to say something but got interrupted. " Kouji's awake!" Leo said happily. The digimon, Cory, and Leo went over to Kouji. "Hey man we didn't know if you were okay." Leo said. "I'm fine." Kouji replied. "Nice to see you awake." Cory said. "Thanks." Kouji said.
"What have you guy been doing while I was asleep?" Kouji asked. "Oh well um we gathered food and well, that's it. Kouji could see that Leo knew that he knew that they had really done nothing. Eva let out a small laugh at Leo. "Oh I see now. Hmp. Leo said. "Well then..hey where's Lukinomon? Kouji asked. He just noticed that only Ohniromon and Zaltzmon were there. "Right her boss reporting for duty!" Said a voice behind him. Kouji turned around. Lukinomon was standing right behind him. Less then an inch from his face.
"Holy crow!" Kouji nearly jumped out of his skin. The others burst out laughing. "You knew he was there?" Kouji asked turning red as a stoplight. "Yep." Cory replied. Kouji's heart was still beating fast. Ugh why me now? Kouji asked himself.
"Oh well then, there is a question I need to ask you all. What..what set off that explosion?" He asked. The others were confused for a moment but then realized what he was talking about. "Well we don't actually know. All's we saw was a flash then the explosion. But Rizegreymon saw whatever it was. I don't think he could have withstood the explosion. So we probley won't be seeing him." Cory said. "Hmm, well what ever it was it saved us." Kouji said.
