The children have found their way to a castle at Rose Morning Star. From Takuya's detector, Ophanimon begs them to defeat Cherubimon using the spirits. Each of them evolve.

The legendary warriors approach an unusual gate-like entrance. Suddenly two Phantomon appear with a vengeance. The ghost-like digimon easily appear and disappear avoiding all attacks. One by one the warriors are covered with the Phantomon's cloak sending them into another dimension. Only Lowemon is left. The lone warrior closes his eyes in an attempt to sense the evil Digimon's where-abouts. When the Phantomon ascend for an attack, Lowemon was able to dodge it and retaliate. His attack resulted in the scanning of the Phantomon's fractal code and the return of the other warriors. The gate opens, and the children enter.

Once inside, our heroes climb a large spiral staircase leading to a room full of floating mirrors. Eerie black arms reach from the mirrors. When the digimon, Oryxmon, enters the room, the arms recede. Patamon tells the gang that Oryxmon can be trusted. They learn that the room is a prison where digimon who sacrificed their soul for Cherubimon are kept. Oryxmon agrees to take them to Ophanimon.

The warrior children are led to a room where a beautiful angel digimon is held captive behind a lighted cage. Try as they might, they are unable to break through. Ophanimon says not to worry about her. She tells them why they were sent for.

Ages ago there was a terrible war. A fierce battle between human and beast-type digimon. Then Lucemon appeared and stopped the fighting. Unfortunately, Lucemon grew mad with power....tormenting and oppressing all Digimon. It was then that the 10 legendary warriors rose up. They bravely fought, defeated Lucemon, then disappeared. Seraphimon, Ophanimon, and Cherubimon were there to guide the Digital World. Sadly, Cherubimon's (who was a beast-type digimon) philosophies were different from Seraphimon and Ophanimon (who were human type digimon). When Seraphimon and Ophanimon met alone to understand the beast-type philosophies, Cherubimon thought the two were trying to undermine him.

It wasn't long before Cherubimon led the beast-type digimon against the human-type digimon once again. Seraphimon and Ophanimon were considered traitors. To spare Seraphimon's life, Ophanimon was imprisoned. Cherubimon possessed 5 of the spirits and comprised a group of 4 evil warriors to collect the Digital World's data. Then Cherubimon found Kouichi and bestowed him with the spirit of darkness.

Ophanimon called out to another world for help....a world where Cherubimon has no power. Only children who were pure of heart answered her call. She led them to the other 5 spirits. How pleased she is of their determination.

Cherubimon enters and chuckles in satisfaction. "Haven't you wondered why I allowed the human children to come here when I could have easily destroyed them?" He asks. It was all a plan so that he could gather the other 5 legendary warriors as well.....

Oh NO!! Can our heroes defeat such a powerful digimon?? You'll just have to watch and find out!!!
