(This is what I consider another cute filler episode)

In a recap from the last episode, Velgemon has flown off needing time to think. The other chosen children had dug their way out of captivity and finally met up with Koji. Koji meets Patamon and thanks him for the new powers that he gained.

Koji feels he can't continue until he gets some answers, he (again) runs off to find Velgemon. Takuya goes running after him telling the others to wait there. J.P. suggests a scouting mission to find information on the Rose Morning Star. Tommy and Zoe reluctantly agree, and off they go.

Eventually, they arrive at the Trailmon graveyard. An old dilapidated Trailmon starts speaking, which scares the heck out of the children. He introduces himself as Angler and explains that this is the place where old Trailmon go when they lack the strength to perform their duties. The children ask him about the Rose Morning Star. In a minor attempt at blackmail, Angler says he will tell them what he knows if they will do a few things for him. First he wants to be put upright, then he wants a bath, and finally repairs. The children are a bit miffed, but they evolve so they can do the things he asks. When Angler still wants more, the children beast spirit evolve ready to kick butt. Angler weeps and give them a sob story of his loneliness.

Suddenly, Angler begins to transform. The children sob for they think he is dying, but instead he changes to a shiny new Trailmon. The children come aboard while he tells them what he knows about the Rose Morning Star and the castle where Ophanimon is kept.

The information helped them greatly.
