The Bladebreakers are unconscious on the floor of a large room with a concrete tile floor and square paned windows. The place looks old and unused. One by one everybody slowly wakes up and wonder where they are, except for Kai and Tyson. Kai is already awake, inspecting the room like Sherlock Holmes at a crime scene. Tyson is still flat on his back, snoring. Hillary discovers that they all have metal bands fastened around their upper left arms. What are they? Hillary yells to wake Tyson up. Tyson also tries to remove his armband, but cannot. Suddenly a voice from a loudspeaker says good morning. Hillary realizes their kidnappers used sleeping gas on their bus to knock them out. Tyson, with typical bravado, demands that the villains release them; they have a tournament to fight! Dr. B says the tournament has been moved to this location. It is no use resisting, there is no way out. Tyson, fed up with the voice, uses his beyblade to destroy the loudspeaker. Hillary of course criticizes him, she wanted to demand how to get the armbands off. Kenny tells Tyson he recognizes the voice from Team Psykick.
In the evil hidden operations center, we see Dr. B, Fatso, Slim, and several technicians in white lab coats. Dr. B rejoices they now get to study the Bladebreakers in a controlled environment. Tyson is really furious, and demands that the villains show themselves or the Bladebreakers will trash the place. Of course, the villains don’t reply.
The team runs up some stairs and out a door, hoping it is the way out. They find themselves on the platform of a mine house, built into the side of a canyon wall. There are several modern windmills on the opposite rim. Through another hidden loudspeaker, Dr. B announces there is no escape. The Bladebreakers must battle one-on-one with Team Psykick. Tyson wonders what the villains are up to; this elaborate kidnapping doesn’t make sense! Tyson wants to call the cops, but nobody brought a cell phone. Ray and Kai look down the sides of the mine house, but it is too steep for even them to climb. Max asks why they are doing this, and Dr. B replies they have their reasons. Back in the control room, Dr. B orders his technicians to follow the Bladebreakers every move.
Back in the city at the supposed tournament arena, the Bladebreakers and Team Psykick are no shows. A stadium worker tells the astonished Mr. Dickinson no event was scheduled, and no bus was chartered. Ozuma and Dunga, cloaked and hidden, are watching nearby. They deduce that their rivals, the men in black, have captured the Bladebreakers for their own purposes. But it won’t be easy for them . . . .
Back on the mine house roof, the Bladebreakers are wondering what they should do. They all agree to break out. Dr. B announces that since the Bladebreakers refuse to cooperate, he will destroy the complex in 3 minutes. Tyson calls his bluff, and in reply the windmills on the opposite canyon rim blow up in fiery explosions! Shocked, the team runs back downstairs to find an escape route. In his control room, Dr. B watches. Didn’t they think he was serious? The team has spread out through the mine house, trying to find a way out, but all the doors and windows are welded shut from the outside. Tyson is pounding on the main doors when suddenly the floor drops from under him. He finds himself in an underground mine tunnel. The rest of the team jumps down and finds an underground mine car, and tracks going down into the darkness. There is some trepidation, but everybody quickly climbs in. Tyson and Kai push the car to get it started. Kai jumps safely in, but Tyson trips and falls flat on his face. He has to run to catch up. As the mine car races down into the darkness, there is a massive explosion behind them.
Back in ops, Fatso and Slim believe that the Bladebreakers have perished in the explosion. But Dr. B scoffs, and they see the Bladebreakers are alive and traveling swiftly through the tunnel. In a transmission from his evil headquarters, big boss Gideon checks in for the first battle. He will soon have all four of the Bladebreakers’ bit beasts.
Down in the tunnel the Bladebreakers’ mine car is whizzing downhill far too fast! Max and Ray find a brake lever and pull on it together, trying to stop the car, but it’s not working. The tracks ahead are blocked by a rock fall, but Kai launches his beyblade at a switch and changes them to some side tracks. The team sees light ahead . . . and the end of the tracks! Max and Ray haul furiously on the brakes, and manage to stop the car just as the tracks end.
The team exits the tunnel and finds a clearing with a bey-stadium. Over another hidden loudspeaker, Dr. B asks if they are ready to battle yet. Back in ops, he tells his technicians to activate the bit beast capturing system. Dr. B wonders who will battle first. Tyson, itching for a fight, accepts the challenge. When he wonders where his opponent is, a bizarre-looking kid with a wide mouth and eyes, dressed in green camouflage gear, pops up out of the bushes. The kid, Chameleon, was with Team Psykick in the episode 7 skill test. Tyson’s confident he’ll win, but Kenny protests Team Psykick can’t be trusted to keep their promise. The Bladebreakers don’t know where they are, or what their captors really want. Everyone else agrees with Kenny, and Kai and Ray have to physically haul the protesting Tyson away from dish into the woods. They search through the trees for an escape route. Dr. B activates a bomb near the team, the explosion rattles them. Max spots a clear path and leads the way, but falls into a covered pit. The team runs to haul him out, but Chameleon suddenly blocks their way. A net hauls Max up out of the pit, and an overhead cable whisks him off into the woods. Tyson fires his beyblade, trying to cut Max free, but Chameleon uses his own beyblade to knock away Tyson’s. Chameleon leaps up and rides on the cable after Max. Ops monitors all this, and tells Dr. B the package is en route.
The cable-net deposits Max on a small island in middle of a pond. There is some grass, a single tree, a beyblade stadium, and Chameleon. The team catches up, and Tyson tries to cross the pond to get to Max. But the pond is not water; it is some tar-like goo holds Tyson fast. Ray and Kai haul Tyson out. Dr. B orders the battle to begin, and Chameleon aims his shooter at Max. Max realizes he is truly trapped, he has to fight. Tyson encourages Max to battle, they’ve got him covered. Chameleon and Max face off over the bey-stadium. Each has a strong launch and the battle seems equal. Suddenly Chameleon’s beyblade disappears! Kenny and Dizzi make a quick analysis, and discover that Chameleon’s beyblade rotates so fast it blends into the environment. Max must try to anticipate Chameleon’s next move. Max discovers Chameleon’s blade isn’t truly invisible, he can see a faint image. Max hangs tough and increases his blade’s velocity. Suddenly the magnetic field in Chameleon’s blade activates, and Max responds by activating his own MG core. Chameleon’s magnetic field is still affecting Max’s beyblade. Tyson shouts for Max to call out Draciel, but Max says it’s not time yet, and Kenny agrees. Finally Max observes that Chameleon’s beyblade is losing momentum, now is the time to attack. Ops prepares for Max’s bit beast to emerge. Max calls out Draciel, who bursts from the blade with incredible power. The villains are amazed and launch the capture system. Gideon gloats that Draciel will now be his. Machines hidden around the pond suddenly emit an energy net that snares Draciel. However, Draciel is far too powerful and easily breaks out. The energy backlash causes the capture machines to explode violently. A tree falls down onto the island, nearly squashing Chameleon. Max roars for Draciel to attack, and they knock Chameleon’s beyblade into the pond muck. The Bladebreakers all cheer Max on his victory, while Chameleon escapes across the tree-bridge.
Back in ops, Dr. B demands to know why he wasn’t informed Draciel was so powerful! They have to be sure to capture the other 3 bit beasts. Gideon grimly tells Dr. B to move on to Plan B.
The Bladebreakers are walking through the woods, and Tyson is congratulating Max on his victory. The team sees water ahead. Tyson gleefully runs forward, but the ground suddenly collapses under him. The team runs up to find Tyson clinging to the side of a cliff, his leg badly hurt. Kai and Max haul him up. The team realizes they are trapped on an isolated island. Dr. B announces the next battle will begin shortly, and signs out with his trademark evil laugh. Tyson vows they’ll be there, then winces in pain from his injured leg.
