It is sunset at the riverside park, and Tyson can’t find Kenny anywhere.  He finds Kenny’s glasses and begins to wonder, since Kenny never takes them off.  Suddenly a black van drives by, almost hitting Tyson.  Tyson hears his name screamed.  Kenny and Hillary are prisoners in the black van!  Tyson runs after the van and lunges for the back door, but it veers and he crashes painfully into the ground.  The van screeches away.  Tyson picks himself up and tries to pursue, but it is gone.  A nearby payphone rings.  Tyson answers, and Slim’s voice announces that he has Kenny and Hillary.  Hidden cameras in the phone booth transmit Tyson’s reactions back to Evil Organization Headquarters, where Gideon and his scientists are monitoring everything.  The voice says Tyson must follow his instructions if he wants his friends released.  Tyson must get to a stadium in 5 minutes, and to pick up a payphone by the third ring. It’s an impossible run!  Tyson takes off, while Ozuma observes from a nearby rooftop.  As Tyson runs, he wonders what is going on.  In his back pocket, Kenny’s glasses pulse.  The glasses have been altered or replaced by electronics that are monitoring Tyson’s vital signs.  Back at HQ, Gideon goats that Dragoon will show himself soon enough, and then he would be his!

Tyson runs onto the field of the stadium, but the phone rings when he is too far away.  He launches his beyblade to unhook the receiver by the 3rd ring.  The voice in the payphone congratulates him on the good shot, and Tyson realizes they are observing him.  Tyson’s next instruction is to get to the payphone at a downtown theater in just 10 minutes, an even more impossible run!  Tyson runs like mad through the streets.  At HQ, Tyson’s adrenaline and heart readings are off the charts.  He may break the 200-meter sprint record.  The scientists want to put Tyson’s next time limit at 20 minutes, but Gideon tells them to make it 15.  When his men object, since the trip usually takes 30 minutes, Gideon replies he wants to see what Tyson is capable of.  Tyson barely makes it to the movie theater, and is then instructed to get down to the wharf in just 15 minutes!

We see Ms. Kincaid cycling home from shopping, her handlebar basket full of produce.  Tyson suddenly dashes out from a side street and crashes into her.  Tyson apologizes and asks for the time.  When he realizes he only has 10 minutes left, he apologizes and takes her bike.  Tyson cycles at seemingly supersonic speeds through the streets.  He avoids a car and crashes again, landing on his back.  He finds three very large Dobermans standing over him, snarling.  Tyson dashes along the streets with the Dobermans at his heels, even overtaking cars.  At HQ, the scientists are amazed that Tyson can run so fast, it is inhuman!  Gideon realizes that Tyson has harnessed the power of his bitbeast, and orders Project Z activated.  At the wharf Tyson is early and answers the phone’s ring.  The voice instructs him to take a boat to a ship on the coast.  He spots a small motorboat nearby.  The boat suddenly starts up, remotely controlled, and Tyson barely jumps in.  From the warehouse roof, Ozuma still watches.

Out on the ocean, Tyson’s boat is heading for a rusty fishing trawler.  Tyson wanders through the corridors and enters the dark main hold.  He finds Kenny and Hillary in a glass-fronted room.  Hillary of course complains about the slow rescue.  Tyson punches the glass, trying to get them out, but just hurts his hand.  He starts to launch his beyblade, but the familiar voice on the loudspeaker stops him.  Kenny tries to negotiate with the voice on loudspeaker, offering dinner at his family’s restaurant for their freedom.  Silence.  Suddenly the ship's hold lights up, and a large beyblade stadium rises up from the floor.  The voice challenges Tyson to a battle.  Tyson agrees to a battle if they let his friends go.  The voice says Tyson’s friends will be freed only if Tyson wins.  Hillary freaks out, but Tyson accepts.  Tyson is finally in his battle zone, calm and smiling and confident.  The wall opposite Tyson slides up, and a spider-like machine walks out to the beyblade dish.  Tyson’s opponent is a robot?!  HQ is still monitoring, Tyson’s vitals are up.  Tyson and the robot launch their beyblades.  Tyson confidently attacks, but the robot’s beyblade evades.  Dizzi realizes that the robot has a more advanced processor than she does.  Tyson’s blade is knocked out, first round goes to the robot.  Tyson declares he underestimated the robot, but now he’ll really fight.  At the second launch Tyson does better, his reaction times improve.  However, the robot improves too.  Kenny realizes the robot is analyzing Tyson’s body language and attacks to predict his moves, he doesn’t stand a chance!  Now Hillary really starts to panic.

Tyson’s blade has been knocked out, round two goes to the robot.  As punishment, the prison walls start to close in on Kenny and Hillary .  Tyson pleads for one last chance.  The voice agrees, and laughs evilly.  Tyson launches and attacks with an intensity and concentration we haven’t seen yet this season.  Suddenly the monitors at HQ explode, and Dragoon finally bursts from Tyson’s blade and attacks.  Gideon orders his men to capture the bitbeast.  The scientists activate a prototype bitbeast capture system.  Emitters emerge from the robot, and energy whips snare Dragoon.  Gideon gloats that Dragoon will now be his.  But Dragoon breaks free, and swoops down and destroys the robot in a fiery explosion.  The robot’s beyblade is knocked out.  The walls stop closing in, and Kenny’s and Hillary’s prison opens up.  Dragoon returns to his blade.  The entire ship’s hold is in flames, and Kenny and Hillary find Tyson unconscious, facedown on floor next to the bey-stadium.  Hillary grabs Dragoon’s blade, still spinning, and Kenny and Hillary haul the unconscious Tyson away.

Gideon stares at the fiery images on the monitor.  Now he knows the secret of the bitbeasts!”  He laughs evilly.

We see the small motorboat on the ocean, Kenny and Hillary are rowing towards shore.  They are all smudged with soot and look a little charred.  Tyson is unconscious in back, and painfully wakes up.  He can’t quite remember what just happened, and asks about the battle.  Then he remembers, he finally summoned Dragoon!  He jumps up and down with glee, nearly capsizing the boat.  From a seaside cliff, Ozuma watches them return.
