Kenny recaps the last two episodes.  He speculates that a mysterious group of cloaked beybladers is targeting all the Bladebreakers.  But who are they, and what is their plan?  In the riverside park, Tyson insultingly requests his opponent’s name.  The kid says his name is Ozuma.  Hillary stands behind them still carrying her pushbroom.  She’s bored, but watches anyway.  Tyson announces that he is a champion and is not intimidated, but Ozuma calls him a former champion.  Kids playing nearby notice the confrontation, and eagerly gather to watch rematch.

Back at Kenny’s home-cum-restaurant he falls down the stairs in his haste, and as he leaves the building he nearly collides with his mother on her bicycle.  Kenny has to warn Tyson!  Kenny encounters some of the girls with brooms and asks if they’ve seen Tyson, but they haven’t.  However, another girl runs up and tells them about Tyson’s rematch in the park.  Kenny takes off.

Meanwhile back at the rematch, lots of kids are gathering around the bey-stadium.  Tyson is telling Ozuma that he is a champion, and Ozuma wants to see everything that Tyson’s got.  Tyson is confident he will win, and drinks in the audience’s approval.  Kenny suddenly appears and stops the rematch, shoving Tyson out of sight and earshot behind some playground equipment.  When Tyson complains about the interruption, Kenny yells with outrage at the treatment.  Tyson placates Kenny.  Kenny shows Tyson Ozuma’s invisible bitbeast, which can only be detected in the infrared spectrum.  That is the cloaked beybladers’ secret weapon.  Dizzi criticizes Tyson’s vanity, and Tyson tries to smash her laptop.  Tyson settles down, and he and Kenny decide to use this knowledge to devise a strategy.  Tyson confidently strides back to the dish.  Ozuma thinks Tyson is not taking this seriously, but Tyson announces he is way serious!

Tyson and Ozuma yell and launch their blades.  Tyson is confident and his attack is unrelenting, Ozuma’s blade seems to be pinned down.  Kenny and Dizzi film as usual, and Kenny wonders when the invisible bitbeast will come out.  Fatso is filming the battle among the crowd.  Tyson’s blade is slowly pushing Ozuma’s blade out of the dish, but Ozuma is just smiling, concentrating on his beyblade.  Suddenly Ozuma’s blade glows with new power, and pushes Tyson’s blade back towards the center.  Kenny realizes that when Ozuma’s blade reaches critical velocity, the bitbeast will come out.  Tyson is worried, but the crowd still encourages him.  Back in the black van, Slim complains to Fatso about the quality of the recording.  The battle causes a fierce wind to whip around the dish, and Hillary is amazed.  Kenny suddenly sees a blip, and shouts that Ozuma’s bitbeast is out.  Tyson is ready for this, and calls Dragoon to come out with his powerful storm attack.  But Dragoon doesn’t come out!  Ozuma calls out to his blade, and it begins to shine brighter and brighter, like an EMP or radiation burst.  The light makes Dizzi’s laptop smoke and Hillary faint.  Slim warns Fatso to pull back.  The blade keeps glowing brighter until it can’t be seen, and the combination of light and wind knocks Tyson onto his backside.  Ozuma just stands there, unaffected.  Suddenly the light and wind die down, and everybody looks to see who won.  Tyson sees his blade spinning outside of the dish next to him, and then it stops and drops.  Tyson lost the rematch!  Ozuma’s blade whips around the dish and returns to his hand.  Ozuma laughs mockingly as dark rainclouds sweep in overhead.  Kenny is shocked, and Dizzi’s system crashes.  Slim tells Fatso to return to the van, they sound disappointed.  Tyson just sits there shocked, wondering what happened.  The first raindrops falling on the bit of Tyson’s blade make Dragoon appear to cry. 

The rain begins pouring down, and the crowd flees.  As Ozuma turns to leave Tyson surges to his feet, saying it’s not over.  Ozuma mockingly says Tyson was scared to use his bitbeast.  Outraged, Tyson shouts Dragoon is the best, but the bored Ozuma leaves.  Kenny asks Tyson why he didn’t call out Dragoon.  A distraught Tyson says he tried, but Dragoon wouldn’t come out.  Tyson collapses onto his hands and knees in anguish.  Is he crying?  Two of Hillary’s friends are helping her up the steps to the path.  She looks back and sees Tyson, and actually looks sorry for him.

The next day at school the bell rings, and Tyson slides into the classroom like a baseball player sliding into home plate.  Tyson is not late, but Hillary is missing.  A student says Hillary may be sick, but Tyson doesn’t believe it.  The class blames Tyson since Hillary fell ill in the rain during his battle, and the class votes he should be nicer and bring her homework to her.  As Tyson protests, Hillary enters behind him.  She and Tyson have another argument, and Hillary goes to her seat while Tyson complains.  The ineffective Ms. Kincaid wishes she had stayed home.

We see inside a dark, sinister, high-tech villain control room.  We finally see the leader of the Men In Black.  He is a lean, purple-haired man dressed like a fop from the 18th century, constantly polishing a ring.  Slim is showing footage from Tyson’s rematch battle.  Slim reports that the cloaked opponent apparently wanted to assess Dragoon’s power, just like they did.  He also reports Tyson did not release Dragoon, even though he has the power and opportunity, so they did not get the data they wanted.  Gideon dismisses the problem with Tyson, they will get that data sooner or later.  He is more interested in Ozuma.  If Ozuma’s group has conflicting intentions, he wants them squashed.

At school, Tyson is eating his way through an enormous school lunch and is back in good spirits.  Kenny however is depressed because Dizzi is offline.  Kenny shows Tyson his damaged laptop, the screen badly cracked.  Kenny explains the powerful energy flash did the damage, and that Ozuma’s bitbeast is more powerful than anything they’ve encountered.  Tyson wonders why they never encountered Ozuma at any of their tournaments.  Kenny deduces that Ozuma wanted Dragoon to come out, and that the Bladebreakers are facing a serious organized threat.  Tyson ruins the moment by belching, absolutely stuffed.  When Kenny gets angry, Tyson explains that he is bothered that Dragoon didn’t come out.  Kenny wonders why as well, and will give the problem top priority.  He then discovers Tyson is sound asleep.  Outraged, Kenny stalks away.

At the riverside park, Tyson is in a workout suit, training hard.  Tyson tells Dragoon he will reform, but that he can’t do anything without Dragoon, that they are a team.  Kenny appears, glad Tyson is training, and the two reconcile.  Kenny says he might have a solution for Tyson’s problem, but it must wait until Dizzi is online again.  Tyson celebrates by swinging Kenny around.

Kenny is in his room, using a sautering iron to repair Dizzi.  At Tyson’s family dojo, Tyson is sparring intensely with his grandfather.  Back in Kenny’s room he tries reloading Dizzi, and she comes back online.  In the dojo the phone rings.  Tyson apologizes to his grandfather, who is moaning defeated on the floor.  When Tyson answers, Kenny tells Tyson that Dizzi is online again, and that he wants to go over a new method of communicating with Dragoon.  They agree to meet in the riverside park at 7 p.m.

The sinister black van slowly follows Kenny along the riverside path.  Kenny meets Hillary, and he asks how she’s feeling.  Hillary asks what happened during yesterday’s battle.  Suddenly the black van pulls up beside them.  The van blocks the audience’s view of Kenny and Hillary, and we hear Fatso and Slim demand Kenny’s laptop.  We hear struggling and screams.

Tyson runs though town.  He realizes he never gave Kenny enough credit for what he did for the team, but now that would all change.  He just hopes that Kenny will be on time.
