Episode 22: Quiescence and Awakening

It's the morning after (you know). Migi warns Shinichi that Gotou is on his way to kill him. They confiscate a vehicle as Shinichi wants any confrontation to be as far away from people as possible. Once out of town, Migi sends the vehicle toppling over a cliff with the intent of landing on the vehicle that Gotou is driving. Unfortunately, the parasite survives.

Shinichi and Migi face Gotou in a secluded woodsy area. When the strength of Gotou prevails, Migi sacrifices itself so Shinichi can get away. Injured, exhausted, and missing his arm, Shinichi arrives at a cabin. An old woman (Mitsuyo) takes him in. She bandages his head, feeds and shelters him. Not long after, a group of men arrive at Mitsuyo's. Someone's been attacking villagers.

That evening, Shinichi dreams of Migi. When he awakes a small eye is protruding from what remains of his right arm. He decides that its up to him to destroy Gotou. He grabs a clever and heads into the woods.
