The blood bath continues. The Mayor is gunned down after giving a speech about the corruption of the world. Only after his death, is it revealed that he is actually human and a parasite sympathizer.

The rampage resumes with Gotou annihilating the task force. Elsewhere, Uragami uses the weapon from a dead soldier to kill Detective Katsumata and escape. Outside, remaining forces watch in horror when Yamagishi's head tumbles from the roof.

Gotou jumps from the roof recognizing Shinichi. Thankfully, he says he is too tired to fight anymore, but promises to kill him later. The evening, Shinichi has a terrible dream that causes him serious paranoia. He takes comfort in the arms of Satomi, whom he runs into later at the park. She invites him over explaining no one is home. They make love, and he professes his love for her. This strengthens his resolve to survive!
