Episode 17: The Adventure of the Dying Detective

Thanks to Reiko's superior intelligence, she manages to outwit and subsequently kill the three human parasites that threatened her life. However, another problem presents itself when Reiko returns home to find her baby kidnapped by the Private Detective, Shiro Kuramori.

Meanwhile, Satomi is very worried about Shinichi. She arrives at his home only to find Reiko leaving the premises. Unbeknownst to Satomi, Reiko had contacted Shinichi asking him to meet her at the park where the meeting with Kuramori will take place. Reiko eases Satomi's fears by saying that he will return soon.

Later, Satomi sees Shinichi on a bus, as well as, Reiko heading in the same general vicinity. She decides to follow them.

At the park, Reiko stabs Kuramori when it looks as if he is about to throw the child over a ledge. She retrieves her child unharmed, and it is Kuramori who winds up falling from the ledge. The police arrive to find the dying detective. A short time later, Reiko and Shinichi meet.
