Someone has been shadowing Shinichi. As it turns out, Reiko has hired a human private detective to watch Shinichi's every move. During a late evening visit to the place Kana was killed, the detective discovers his secret. Migi instinctively wants to kill the guy, but Shinichi is able to hold the parasite back.

After the encounter, Shinichi begins to panic. "Will I become a lab rat?" he wonders. Needing to talk, he meets Murano at the park. Unfortunately, when Migi eyes him (get the pun) he changes his mind about telling Murano his fears, and she ends up leaving unhappily.
