Yuko confronts Shimada, which turns out to be a very bad idea. She is forced to throw a bottle of chemicals on him and subsequently, jump from the third floor window. The chemicals distort Shimada's ability to return to human form, and he goes on a deadly rampage in the school.

Migi warns Shinichi, who tracks down Murano and rescues her. After seeing that she is safe, Shinichi and Migi devise a plan to kill Shimada by throwing a rock through his heart.

Later, a meeting takes place involving Government officials. Dr. Yui explains a way to distinguish humans from Parasites: Parasite head hair, when plucked, undergoes brief spasms.
