After taking a direct hit to his heart, Shinichi is on the brink of death. Migi knows that if Shinichi dies, he will soon follow.

Migi uses everything he has learned about humans and saves Shinichi, but by doing this, the parasite has weakened himself.

After Shinichi regains consciousness, he learns that his father is alive and in the hospital. He rushes to be by his side.
