Dr. Klipse has found the perfect place to create his dark linchpin monsuno. Mechanopolis, a city built on an ancient meteor crash site. That meteor was filled with monsuno essence. The city happens to be where Tango was born and raised. Her parents and everyone else worked there. The S.T.O.R.M. cloud carriers were originally built there. Everyone loved the city, but the city did not share the same sentiment. Somehow the Monsuno essence in the ground infected the city itself. Everyone had to flee.

Strike Squad and Team Core Tech are sent to investigate. One by one they are captured by Six except Chase, Bren and Tango. Bren assists Tango (who he has a major crush on), while Chase confronts Six and Dr. Klipse.

Dr. Klipse is able to get a DNA sample from Lock to create Archaic Lock (the Dark Linchpin). Six calls the new creation, "his new pet." The two Lock's battle causing a synergistic wavelength, which resulted in a huge explosion.

In the end, it appears that each Lock returned to their owners and everyone escaped unharmed and that included Dr. Klipse and Six. The City was not so lucky. It was destroyed.
