Metabee's Out of Body Experience

Episode Summary

Ikki, Zuru, and their bots meet with Professor Aki. The Professor wants to take a look at Metabee's memory banks, particularly his fight with Redrun. Samantha, Spyke and Sloan were supposed to meet there as well, but they haven't shown up yet.

Elsewhere, Ginkai finds Samantha and the others lost at the subway. He, too, wants to see Dr. Aki, because Kam told him Dr. Aki created a Medabot tough enough to take on a Kilobot. Samantha says if he gives Peppercat an action mode and helps with directions, then she'll take him with them. It's a deal.

After reviewing Metabee's data, Dr. Aki presents the boys with Arcbeetle Dash and Tyrelbeetle. These are powerful medabots that he hopes can hold their own against Kilobots. He then tells them of a man, who first created the bots with only victory in mind and not the safety of the children. When Dr. Aki protested, the man left and he hasn't seen him since. (Hmmmm.... that man resembled Zuru.)

A short time later Samantha arrives, and Ikki lets her in the building not knowing that Ginkai is with them. Moments later, the boys are going to test the new bots by robattling in the medabot proving grounds, a Western-like atmosphere. They put Metabee and Zuru's bot medals into Arcbeetle Dash and Tyrelbeetle. To win, they must neutralize all Totalizers on the course but leave the Medamaids unharmed. While the two boys are doing their bot testing, Ginkai has Unitrix transmit images to Kam. He then makes Samantha take Metabee's body. When alarms go off, Samantha and gang run, but Ginkai approaches Ikki.

Dr. Aki stops security from apprehending Ginkai saying, "a kilobot opponent would make a perfect test subject." Let the robattle begin. Ikki uses excellent strategy and ends up defeating Ginkai. Afterwards, security carts the defeated boy out. With testing and robattles over, Metabee is ready for his own body. But wait! It's gone, and Ikki is unable to transport it.

Later, in the underground subway, Ikki spots Metabee's body on the opposite side of the tracks. Kam and Ginkai appear. Kam tells Ikki he can get the body back if they robattle. Metabee (still in Arcbeetle's body) heads onto the tracks to battle Ginkai and Kam's bots. It doesn't look good.... Metabee is held down while the train is quickly approaching. Thankfully, Ikki found a secret weapon built into Arcbeetle, which he used to defeat the Kilobots. Angry at defeat, Kam grabs Metabee's body. "I'm going to renege on our deal" he says ready to throw the medabot body in front of a speeding train. Even Ginkai can't believe he would go this far! Suddenly, Peppercat swoops by and grabs Metabee's body from Kam. Ginkai and Kam quickly disappear.

Thanks to Samantha, Metabee returns to the body we all know and love. "Hey...wait a sec...just how did Ginkai get into the building anyway?? Samantha! You've got some explaining to do!"
