Inuyasha: The Final Days

Disclaimer: I'm back and better than ever! And like I said last time, this chapter will be more promising than the last. Like I said last time, I don't own Inuyasha but damn it, I will try to make the best of it!!!

Chapter 2: To the Castle

The next day, the gang was on their way to the castle. In the front were Inuyasha and Miroku, and in the back were Kagome and Sango, with Shippo on Kagome's shoulder and Kirara at Sango's side. The boys up front were talking.

"I just can't believe you," said Inuyasha.
"It was worth the pain," said Miroku, holding the side of his face, where a faded red hand print was. "And besides," Miroku said, "you would've probably done it too, if you weren't asleep."
"What?! What are you getting at?!" Inuyasha demanded.
"Oh, don't deny it. You love Kagome."
"I do not!" yelled Inuyasha, "she's only with me because she can detect Jewel shards! And other than that, she's worthless!"

In the back, Kagome was shocked to hear that. That Inuyasha, thought Kagome, he's gonna pay for saying that. "Sit!"

Inuyasha plummeted to the ground, making a small face crater.
"Ow. What did I do?" Inuyasha said.

A mile away from the gang, a man and a toad demon were walking through the forest. It was Sesshomaru and Jaken. Sesshomaru was leading as Jaken was trying to keep up. As they went on, Sesshomaru was pushing low branches, that grew low on the trunk, that swung back into place.

"Lord Sesshomaru, please, wait up!" said Jaken, tripping over roots.
Sesshomaru didn't listen. "Lord Sesshomaru, please wait-" Jaken said as he was smacked across the face by a low branch. (Go figure.) Jaken spit out all the leaves that were in his mouth, "Lord Sesshomaru," yelled Jaken, trying to keep up, "Lord Sesshomaru, please, wait up!"
Still, Sesshomaru did not stop. "Wait up, Lord-" Jaken ran into Sesshomaru, who had stopped suddenly. "A thousand apologies, my lord
and a thousand more for asking, why did you stop?"

Sesshomaru glared down at him which made Jaken shudder.
"I smell a half-breed," he said, "and I know who it is."
"Who and why is it here?" asked Jaken.
Sesshomaru eyes sharpened, "it's Inuyasha." Sesshomaru turned to his right, ran, and jumped off. Jaken followed Sesshomaru with his eyes, gave out a long sigh, and started to follow Sesshomaru, tripping over more roots.

"You selfish, crude, arrogant-" Kagome yelled.
"I'm not arrogant!" yelled Inuyasha.
There they go again. Inuyasha and Kagome yelling and arguing at each other about some stupid reason.
"Do they ever stop?" Miroku asked.
"It depends on how long they-" Sango stopped as she felt Miroku's hand on her butt.

*BAM*

"Do you ever stop?!" Sango demanded, as she hit Miroku over the head with her giant boomerang.

"It's just hard to stand you, you stupid girl!" yelled Inuyasha.
Kagome gasped. "You take that back!"
"Or what?! Are ya' gonna' say it? Huh? Well, say it, I dare ya!" yelled Inuyasha.
"Sit!"

Inuyasha fell to ground making another face crater.
"Why you little-" Inuyasha began, but he stopped abruptly because he heard something. "Something's coming." Said Inuyasha.
Then, Inuyasha saw a energy whip coming at him. He pushed Kagome out of the way and jumped aside as the energy whip lashed next to him. Then, out of the top of the trees, a figure jumped out. It was...
"Sesshomaru." Said Inuyasha.
"Hello brother," Sesshomaru said, "it has been awhile since we seen each other."

Inuyasha grabbed Tetsusiaga and unsheathed it, pointing the end at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru shot out his energy whip from his right hand.
"Let us begin," said Sesshomaru.

Inuyasha came charging at Sesshomaru swinging Tetsusiaga at him. Sesshomaru kept darting left and right avoiding Tetsusiaga. As Inuyasha gave a final swing, Sesshomaru jumped over Inuyasha and landed behind him.
"Stand still you bastard," Inuyasha said.
"Like I'll stand still for you," said Sesshomaru, giving him a disgusted face,

"Pah, never!" Inuyasha yelled at the top of his lungs running at Sesshomaru, sword poised for a vertical slash. Sesshomaru whipped his energy whip that wrapped around the Tetsusiaga's blade. He then, jumped diagonally to his left. Then, when he landed onto the ground started to pulling. He was now with a tug-of-war with his brother over the Tetsusiaga. Both brothers didn't give in, until, Sesshomaru whipped up his hand making a hump on the energy whip, making Tetsusiaga slip out of Inuyasha's hands. Sesshomaru tugged hard on the energy whip, as the giant sword came to him.

"No!" yelled Inuyasha. (Ya think after all that yelling he would have a sore throat???)
"Finally, the Tetsusiaga is finally mine," Sesshomaru said, with a little eagerness in his voice.

The energy whip disappeared as Sesshomaru held his right hand up, going to catch the Tetsusiaga. Inuyasha was running at him, trying to cut him off. But it was too late, Sesshomaru grabbed the Tetsusiaga by the blade with a small triumph on his face, until...
There was burning in his hand. He felt unbelievable pain in his right hand. It felt like his hand was on fire. Sesshomaru thru the sword to the ground, at which it turned into a small dull sword. He looked at his hand which was now charcoal black. Inuyasha made a quick grab and got the Tetsusiaga back. But he looked at Sesshomaru, still stunned on why the Tetsusiaga burned his hand. Then, the answer dawned on him.

"I remember," Inuyasha said, "you have to be human or have human emotions to wield Tetsusiaga."
Sesshomaru remembered that day. He had to have a human arm to wield Tetsusiaga. But now, since he had a new arm that was just like his old one, that got cut off, he could no longer wield Tetsusiaga anymore.

"Then, I shall destroy the Tetsusiaga and you, Inuyasha," said Sesshomaru.

He pulled out his energy whip and was about to slash Inuyasha with it until...
"Inuyasha, take cover," Miroku yelled taking off the jewels, "Wind Tunnel!"

The wind tunnel started sucking everything in front of it. Sesshomaru didn't have enough time to react. Without thinking, he thru his whip and wrapped it around a tree and held on. Inuyasha jammed Tetsusiaga into the ground and held on for dear life. Sesshomaru looked over at the tree. He saw his energy whip burning through the tree. That won't hold very long, thought Sesshomaru. And he knew right there, he was going to die. A small frightful face appeared on Sesshomaru's face, as Inuyasha saw it. Inuyasha stared at his brother's face, wondering what was this new feeling in him. What is this feeling, thought Inuyasha, what could this be?

Sesshomaru watched in horror as his whip was almost done burning through the tree. Inuyasha was still staring, why in the hell do I have this feeling. Then, the tree snapped in half and Sesshomaru flew back. His energy whip gone and his right hand stretched out, he thought of nothing. He kept looking out into space, seeing nothing but blindness. He then realized he wasn't moving and knowdest he had stopped in midair. He looked down at his out stretched hand. Inuyasha had grabbed hold of him. He was off the ground, clutching Tetsusiaga with one hand and holding on to his brother with the other. It looked like he had lunged himself to grab Sesshomaru.

"Stop the wind tunnel!" yelled Inuyasha.

Miroku closed his wind tunnel.
Medially, Inuyasha let go of Sesshomaru, pulled Tetsusiaga out, and pointed it at Sesshomaru, ready to slash at him.

"Wait, Inuyasha," Sesshomaru said, "maybe, we should fight some other time."
Inuyasha stared at him, shocked.
"Lord Sesshomaru!"
Sesshomaru looked over to his left to see Jaken sliding down the forest hill on his face, landing on the path, far from him. Sesshomaru walked up to him. Jaken got up, spitting dirt out of his mouth. He looked up to see his lord.

"Lord Sesshomaru."
"We're leaving Jaken," said Sesshomaru, as he jumped over the trees and into the forest.
"Not again," said Jaken, as he climbed the steep hill.

Kagome watched in surprise as Sesshomaru left.
Inuyasha sheathed Tetsusiaga as he stared after his brother. Why in the hell did I do that? thought Inuyasha. He shook his head as he
turned to the group. "Come on, let's keep going," he said.

Everyone walked down the dirt path as a group. They looked over to the horizon and saw a huge castle sitting on top of a giant hill. "This is it," said Inuyasha, "let's do it!"
