Inuyasha: Return to the Past

            Disclaimer: *sings: It’s been awhile, since I could write a fic for you. It’s been awhile, so now I write to you and all.  *Stops: Okay so singing is not my strongpoint.  But on with the fic.

            Final Chapter: Farewell!

            It was the next day after the battle was over as everyone awoke to a bright sunny day.
            “Okay, time for some explanation!” Black said, walking up to the Inuyasha gang.  “What happen?”

            So Inuyasha told him what happen when he ran into the forest while Miroku also had to tell a few things that happen that Inuyasha didn’t see.
            “So all of you died?” Nicole asked.
            “Yup, except for me.” Said Inuyasha.

            “And you don’t know how everyone came back to life?” Black questioned.

            “No.”

            “Wait a minute!” Lightning said as everyone turned his or her attention his way.  “Maybe it had to do something with the Shikon Jewel.”
            “The Shikon Jewel?” Sango asked.  “What does the Shikon Jewel have to do with this?”
            “Well after the battle was over,” said Rogue.  “The Shikon Jewel flew straight to the sky and emitted this pink aura that filled the whole area including the forest.”
            “And then after that,” Black continued.  “You guys came out.”
            “Hm, maybe the Shikon Jewel,” said Kaede.  “Revived the people Inuyasha cared about when he-”

            “Cried like a little baby…” Black interrupted.

            “What’d you say!” both Inuyashas yelled.

            “Yes well, can I continue?” Kaede asked.

            “Sure go on,” Black said as he peered at both Inuyashas hopefully that they weren’t going to kill him.

            “That must have brought the Shikon Jewel out of its hiding and revived the people that were lost that weren’t evil.”

            “But wait!” said Nicole.  “What about Black?  He came back before the Shikon Jewel revived everyone, and he was supposed to be dead.”

            “What?  Dead?” Kagome asked.

            “Heh, it’s a long story!” said Black.

            “Don’t worry,” the Present Inuyasha said.  “We have plenty of time.”

            Black groaned as he told everyone what happened in the village.

            “Whoa, wait a minute!” Inuyasha said.  “You survived an onslaught of a hanyou who went full demon?”

            “Yeah, I guess so.” Black said as he rubbed the back of his head.

            “There’s more and more strange things about you Black that I don’t understand,” Rogue said.

            “Well, yeah.”

            Both gangs walked outside and separated in two different directions when Inuyasha and Kagome stopped.

            “Hey!” Kagome yelled.  “Aren’t you coming with us?”

            “We take a different well,” Black said.  “It’s called the Western well just west of here.  That’s why it’s called the Western well.”

            “Where does it take you?” Inuyasha asked.

            “Takes us to the present era somewhere north of Tokyo,” Nicole said.

            “ Okay, but if you want to visit us you know where to look.” Kagome said.

            Both gangs were heading towards their wells when Black stopped.  “Wait!  What day is it Nicole?”

            “Today’s Monday.  Why?”

            “We have that big exam today!”

            “What?!  You mean it’s today?!”

             “I forgot to study for it!”

            “If you think that’s bad, we’re going to be late for school!”

            Both of them scream as they ran off into the distance leaving a giant dust cloud behind them.

            Kagome and Inuyasha watch them runoff as Sango and Miroku walk with them.  “I wish we could stay here with you guys but we have to stay in our time,” said Kagome.

            “Well, maybe you can.” Sango said.
            “What do you mean?”

            “Well you can take this,” Sango reached inside her clothing and pulled out the Shikon Jewel.  “The Shikon Jewel.”

            “What?  Oh no, we can’t protect it!  I’ve done a lousy job last time cause I shattered it.  Then we had to find the shards which took a long time.”

            “Well, we need someone to protect it while we’re gone.  Besides, no one wants to go after it anymore now that we got rid of Naraku again.”

            “I guess you’re right.”

            “So,” Sango knelt on one knee and put the Shikon Jewel in Kagome’s hands.  “I, Sango, hand down the Shikon no Tama to you.  Will you guard this with your life?”

            Kagome looked down at Sango as she smiled.  “I will guard it with everything I am!”

            “Good,” Sango got up as she and Miroku walked together.  “Because me and Miroku have to go to a village that’s being attacked by some demons and we want someone to watch the Shikon Jewel.  But don’t worry about little Minoku, he’ll be fine with Lady Kaede.”

            “Okay, we’ll take good care of the Shikon Jewel.”

            “Thank you.”  Miroku and Sango left in a different direction as Kagome and Inuyasha walked up the well.

            “Are you ready to go back?” asked Inuyasha.

            “Yeah,” Kagome said.  “I betcha Shippo is worried about us.”

            “Yeah, he probably is.”

            They both laughed as they jumped into the well to return to their own time.
