Inuyasha: A New Beginning

Chapter Eighteen
Nina stayed home for the next few days and Inukai stayed with her to make sure she didn’t go anywhere else since her illness was getting worse. Her ankle soon healed, but her health was another story. It seemed to be getting worse everyday. She had a cold, stomachache, fever, and headache.
Inukai put a hand to Nina’s forehead as he saw sweat go down her face. He sighed and knew she had a temperature of about 112 degrees. Nina’s eyes opened and she laid a hand on his.
“Quit worrying about me,” Nina said. “Inuyasha and the others probably want to know what’s going on.”
“So? Let your friend tell them,” Inukai said.
Nina coughed. “No. We have to go back to them. Naraku has to go to where he belongs.”
Inukai raised an eyebrow. “And where would that be?”
Nina knew what he was thinking. “He belongs in the Underworld.”
Inukai frowned. “Just like you to come up with other words to prove your innocence.”
Nina smiled weakly and began playing with one of his sideburns. “You do the same only the way you act is to hide your true self.”
Inukai grabbed her hand that was still playing with his sideburn. He looked into her eyes. “I do not try to hide how I really am.”
“Are you telling me that the real you is a stubborn arrogant jerk?” Nina asked meeting his eyes.
“Maybe,” Inukai said.
Nina sat up and began tweaking both of Inukai’s dog-ears. Inukai did the same thing as last time and began purring. Nina smiled still thinking it was cute that he purred. Inukai then pulled away and let out a low growl.
“Don’t do that,” Inukai said.
Nina smiled. “Why? Because it makes you happy and you don’t want people to know?”
“No,” Inukai said. “Because it feels weird. It makes me feel all freaky inside. It makes me feel like…” Inukai trailed off as he began to blush.
“Makes you feel like?” Nina asked wanting an answer.
“Don’t worry about it,” Inukai muttered not wanting to reveal anything else.
Nina let out a sigh. “Okay. Whatever you say.” She lied back down on her bed as she closed her eyes…
Nina saw the two figures again. The same things happened again.
“She died for the same reasons your stupid mother, sister, and brother died,” the first one said.
“So you’re the one who killed Mom, Kanna, and Riku?” the second one asked.
“You’re related to Kanna and Riku? Then that means…” She gasped as she saw she was correct, as the first person was none other than Naraku. “Oh my gosh! It is you!” She turned to face the second person, but still couldn’t see his face. “Then who are you? Inuyasha doesn’t wear orange and last I checked he wasn’t related to Naraku.”
“Yes, I am the one who killed your beloved mother, brother, and sister,” Naraku said smiling. “And I am the one who killed your beloved woman.”
The other one snarled. “I will not allow you to go any further to kill my loved ones. You are the one who made my life a living hell. I’m here for revenge and the jewel.”
“Very well,” Naraku said. “But first, I shall take what is rightfully mine.” He held out his hand. The teenaged boy (Nina figured he had to at least be her age) looked to his side to see his sheath and sword fly to Naraku.
“You creep!” Nina cried. She ran over to him and grabbed his hand to see her own hand go right through his. She growled. “Give it back to him, you lying murdering thieving creep!”
“Now, you will follow in the footsteps of your mother, brother, and sister,” Naraku said. “It’s a shame Inuyasha and his friends killed your other sister, Kagura, as this would be a pleasure to her to see yet another traitor to die.”
“Yeah, well, I’m not going down without a fight,” the boy said going into a fighting stance. “You killed the one girl who actually liked me for me. You killed the one person I ever loved and knew.”
Nina saw the jewel in Naraku’s hand begin to glow. She then realized it was the Shikon Jewel. Then that means I died, but then who is the one that… She gulped. Loves me? She looked back towards the boy when she felt the jewel she was wearing begin to glow. Even though the jewel was glowing, she still couldn’t make out who the boy was. His face was still hidden in the darkness. “Just who are you?” The scene began changing again and she found herself back in her room.
She looked around to see Inukai looking out her window. She sat up. “What are you looking at?”
Inukai turned to face her. “Nothing. What were you dreaming about?”
“Same dream as before except it went a little further this time and I know who the first person is,” Nina said and explained everything to him. “What do you think?”
Inukai fists began clenching and he let out a low growl.
Nina looked at him in concern. She sat up. “What is it? Why are you growling?”
“Nina, you were right,” Inukai said. “It’s time to get rid of Naraku.”
“What? Whoa! You are not leaving me behind!” Nina said putting a hand on his shoulder.
“Yes, I am,” Inukai said putting a hand over hers. He looked into her eyes. “And you’re staying here. No one’s to get involved in this final battle that him and me are about to get into.”
“Inukai,” Nina protested.
“I said you’re staying here. That is that,” Inukai said. He went to the center of her room. The blue light surrounded him and took him back through time.
Nina quickly got out of bed, changed into the outfit she wore the day she discovered she could go back through time, and went to the center of her room. She then went to Inuyasha’s era, climbed out of the well, and ran to find Inuyasha and the others.
Inukai rushed through the forest to Kaede’s old village. He brought up one of his claws. “Naraku, it is time for you to down.” He ran into the village.
Nina made her way through the snow ignoring how freezing it was. She had to get to Inuyasha and the others before it was too late. Naraku might kill him and it might be my entire fault. She began biting on her lower lip. I can’t let that happen. I can’t lose him. Not now. Not ever.
Inukai watched the guards pass by him as he hid in the bushes near by. He began climbing up a tree. He then jumped down onto the fort. He slowly snuck his way into the palace. So far, so good.
“Guys, we have to get to Naraku now!” Nina cried as soon as she spotted Inuyasha and the others.
“What’s the hurry?” Inuyasha asked raising an eyebrow. “I mean, I want to kill the guy as much as you, but I don’t see why we have to hurry. We should make a plan.”
“There’s no time for that!” Nina cried as tears began to fill her eyes. “Inukai went to fight him on his own. We have to go now! Or he might die!”
At this, everyone stood up.
“Got it,” Miroku said. He turned to face Koga. “Can you take the children to Kaede. I feel this will be the final battle and I do not wish for them to get involved.”
Koga nodded and picked up Izumi, Kai, Sakura, and Albert.
Nina quickly hugged Albert. “I’ll be back. I promise.”
Albert nodded. “Okay. Sayonara, Nina-chan.”
“Sayonara, Albert-chan,” Nina said.
Koga then ran off holding the little kids as he headed to Kaede’s new village.
“We’re coming, too!” a voice cried.
Nina and the others turned around to see Sharon and Anna.
Nina nodded. “Okay. You guys ride one Kirara with Sango. Miroku’s as fast as Inuyasha so he can run. Kagome, of course, is going to ride on Inuyasha’s back. I’ll run with Inuyasha and Miroku. Koga may come back and he knows where Naraku is and he’s fast so we don’t have to worry about him.”
Inuyasha helped Kagome onto his back. He then looked towards Nina. “Are you sure you can keep up with Miroku and me?”
Nina nodded. “Why?”
Inuyasha sniffed the air. “Because your scent is telling me you’re sick.”
Nina put her hands on her hips. “I’m very healthy and fine, thank you very much.”
Inuyasha sighed and looked towards Kirara to see Sango, Sharon, and Anna were ready to go. He looked towards the village that was run by Naraku. “Then let’s go.”
Inukai ran down the hall as quietly as he could. He was about to turn a corner when…
“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” a voice asked.
Inukai spun around to see his older half brother. “Seth.”
Seth unsheathed his sword. “Let’s see how your sword can do against my Tangeru.”
“Heh, Tsugerio will surely win,” Inukai said unsheathing his sword.
“Then let’s go,” Seth said.
Nina ran in between Miroku and Inuyasha while Kirara flew above them. She tried once again to ignore the freezing snow that was beginning to go into her shoes. This snow has to be at least three inches deep. I’m going to get frostbite after this is all done. She let out a sigh and continued running between the two. Inukai, please be alive. Don’t die. The scene before her began to change again. She once again stood in the same dark room where Naraku and the teenaged boy began talking. She groaned. Not now. I need to get to Inukai. The conversation began and went the same way it did last time.
“So you’re the one who killed Mom, Kanna, and Riku?” the boy asked.
“Yes, I am the one who killed your beloved mother, brother, and sister,” Naraku said smiling. “And I am the one who killed your beloved woman.”
“I will not allow you to go any further to kill my loved ones. You are the one who made my life a living hell. I’m here for revenge and the jewel,” the boy said.
“Very well,” Naraku said. “But first, I shall take what is rightfully mine.” The sword and its sheath flew to him. “Now, you will follow in the footsteps of your mother, brother, and sister. It’s a shame Inuyasha and his friends killed your other sister, Kagura, as this would be a pleasure to her to see yet another traitor to die.”
“Yeah, well, I’m not going down without a fight,” the boy said. “You killed the one girl who actually liked me for me. You killed the one person I ever loved and knew.”
Nina saw the Shikon Jewel begin to glow again. She then gasped when she saw the face of the teenaged boy. “Inukai…” The scene began changing again and soon she found herself still running in between Inuyasha and Miroku. She stopped and the others did, too.
“What is it?” Inuyasha asked.
“Inukai’s in danger. We have to get there now!” Nina said and began running towards the village again. The others followed. Inukai, if that was really you, then, is it true you love me? The Shikon Jewel began glowing. Please stay alive.
Inukai and Seth charged at each other. They held their swords up above their heads and went in for the kill. Their blades clashed and they began pushing against their swords waiting for the other to give in.
“I didn’t think you wanted to die so soon,” Seth said.
“Heh, funny, I would’ve said the same for you,” Inukai said.
Seth quickly backed up and swung his sword. Inukai jumped, but not before the sword cut him a little below his knee. Inukai snarled as he landed in front of Seth.
“What’s a matter?” Seth asked. “Did little puppy get a boo-boo?”
Inukai growled. “Shut up and fight!”
The two charged at each other again.
Nina and the others ran behind the fortress that led to Naraku’s palace. Inuyasha put Kagome down.
“So, how are we going to enter?” Sango asked getting off Kirara. Sharon and Anna did the same. Kirara turned to her small form and ran over to Sango.
“I guess we’re going to have to create some kind of distraction,” Inuyasha said. “Okay. Here’s what we’ll do…”
Inukai and Seth charged at each other again. Their blades clashed and they pushed against them waiting for the other to give in. Seth smiled and held up his free claw that began to glow green.
“I believe you haven’t become acquainted with my poison talons,” Seth said.
Inukai smirked. “And I believe I haven’t introduced you to My FOOT!” With that, he kicked Seth in the stomach causing him to stumble back and hit the wall with his poison claw causing the wall to melt.
Seth growled and stood up. “You’re not getting away with that.”
“Looks like I already have,” Inukai said.
Sango and Miroku jumped over the wall.
“You ready?” Sango asked.
“Whenever you are,” Miroku said.
“Let’s go,” Sango said.
Seth cut Inukai across his shoulder with his venom claw. Inukai cursed and slashed at Seth. Seth jumped over him and cut him across the arm with his sword. Inukai cursed again and charged after Seth. Seth rolled his eyes and ducked. He then put his poisoned claw straight through Inukai’s stomach. Inukai felt the searing poison rip through him. Seth then quickly pulled out his hand and smiled. Inukai shot him a glare as he put a hand to his wound.
“Can’t you do any better than that?” Seth asked.
His reply was a low growl.
Seth smiled all the more.
Nina heard screams followed by someone shouting get back here. She looked towards Inuyasha.
“It’s time to go,” Inuyasha said. He began climbing up the wall. Nina and the others followed closely behind.
Inukai cut Seth across his leg. Seth shot him a death glare and cut him on the cheek with his poisoned claw. He then cut Inukai on his other arm. Inukai growled and clawed Seth on the cheek. Seth wiped the blood away and sheathed his sword.
“It’s time to not use swords anymore, but the weapons we were born with,” Seth said.
Inukai sheathed his sword nodding in agreement.
The two then charged at each other again.
Inuyasha and Kagome made their way to the towers. Sango and Miroku were fighting the guards in the opposite direction. Nina, Sharon, Anna, and Kirara made their way to the front doors. Shippo and Sesshomaru made their ways to the tower opposite of Inuyasha.
Sango threw her boomerang at the guards making sure they’d just get knocked out and not killed remembering what Nina had told them about them having friends and family too.
Miroku blocked their attacks with his staff as well as hit them with it.
Nina, her two best friends, and Kirara entered the palace.
“Okay. Now what?” Nina said.
Anna looked around. There were three halls that ran up north, east, and west. “The main hall would probably be that one,” she said pointing down the northern hall. “So, you take that one while Sharon and I take the ones to the right and left.”
Nina nodded and the three went in their separate directions with Kirara following Nina. Nina soon heard a cry followed by a shout. She knew she was nearing a battle that was going on and hoped that it was Inukai and he was all right and that the person he was battling wasn’t Naraku. When she reached the battle she saw that her hopes were right. Inukai was in front of her by a few feet and Seth was standing right in front of her with his back to her not even noticing her.
“Brother, I am quite disappointed in you,” Seth said. “You talk big, but that’s all you can do as you have nothing to back it up with.”
“Look who’s talking,” Inukai said wiping away some blood from his lower lip obviously not noticing Nina and if he had he showed no sign of it.
Nina began biting her lower lip knowing that Seth was a full dog demon and would surely notice her presence if he hadn’t yet smelled her scent.
Seth and Inukai charged at each other again. Inukai jumped up in the air as Seth ducked and held his poisoned claw ready to kill Inukai. Nina quickly ran to the corner of the room and began aiming an arrow as soon as she grabbed out one and had her bow ready. Inukai slashed at Seth and cut him across the shoulder. Seth smirked and quickly unsheathed Tangeru. He then cut Inukai across the wrist.
Inukai snarled at him. “You said to not use swords anymore.”
Seth smirked. “I’m your older brother. You actually think I’d tell you the truth? How naïve. We’re enemies. You’re the good and I’m the bad. And the bad never tells the truth.”
Inukai growled and unsheathed Tsugerio. “Fine. Then that whole no sword thing is eliminated. Say your prayers!”
The two charged at each other again.
Nina had perfect aim and was about to release the arrow when she sneezed causing her to release the arrow, but not at her target.
Seth and Inukai heard a sneeze and quickly stopped in mid battle. They then looked towards the one who had sneezed to see Nina looking at them as a look of pure fear reached its way across her face. The two then noticed the arrow coming their way mainly towards… Inukai! Inukai quickly ducked letting out a sigh if relief as the arrow missed him. He then stood up and shot a glare at Nina.
“Watch where you’re aiming, woman!” Inukai cried.
Nina gave him a glare. “I was watching where I was aiming!” She then lied saying, “If you hadn’t made Seth move, I would’ve hit him!”
Inukai grunted and went into his usual Inuyasha pose. “Liar. You sneezed. That’s why I told you to stay home. Because you would only get in the way!”
Nina felt tears reach her eyes, but held them back. “Yeah. Well, you wouldn’t have understood how worried I was and why I’m here in the first place!” She then looked down at the ground and softly asked, “What would you have done if it was me?”
Inukai’s eyes softened, but quickly turned to a look of anger, as he knew Seth was waiting to see what his weakness was and would surely use it against him. Speaking of which, why isn’t he attacking me? He looked towards Seth to him with his arms crossed and a look of boredom in his eyes. Idiot, Inukai thought as he rolled his eyes and looked back towards Nina. “If it were you, I would’ve come over here, but not to rescue you. Only to save the jewel. It’s more important than you are.” It really did hurt him to say that to her, but if he told her the truth in front of Seth, he would surely threaten him by using her somehow.
Nina felt a tear go down her cheek at the words that Inukai had just spoken to her. She shook her head as she remembered her vision. She quickly wiped the tear away and looked up at Inukai. “That’s not true. If it were me, you would go after me to save me. Because-because that’s what friends do for each other!”
Inukai sighed, but gave her a small smile. He then turned to face his half brother.
Seth yawned. “Are you two done? I would really like to finish this battle that you’ve started.”
Inukai’s smile widened as he got his sword ready. “Whenever you’re ready.”
Anna ran down the hall and ran down the stairs that she came across. She then quickly stopped and hid behind a suit of armor as she heard voices coming towards her. She saw two samurais go by talking about what they had for dinner. She raised an eyebrow, but shook her head as she quickly ran into the dungeons. Rin or Kohaku should be down here, shouldn’t they? She continued passing dungeon room after dungeon room as she peaked into them. Some had very skinny humans, demons, or half demons that looked like they hadn’t been fed for years or had even gone into the sunshine as their skin was very sickly pale. Some had already decomposing bodies, which caused her to look away as they looked like they had had a very gruesome death. Some others already had the skeletons left behind. Oh, this place so gives me the creeps. She felt something go up her arm and looked down at it to see… a daddy longlegs. She screamed, grabbed the spider by the legs, and threw it down on the ground. She then quickly squash it. She let out a sigh. I hate bugs! They’re so gross! Of course, what Nina thought was another story. She had told Anna once that she didn’t kill bugs as long as they didn’t bother her. The insect could stay where it was just as long as it didn’t bite her or anything. Butterflies, dragonflies, and ladybugs were another story. She’d want them to come to her. Anna, on the other hand, hated all bugs of any sort, especially the flying type. She sighed and continued going pass the dungeons, searching for Rin or Kohaku.
Sharon ran down the hall passing all sorts of doors. She heard footsteps and quickly entered the room closest to her. She then let out a sigh of relief as she heard the footsteps pass her. She turned around to see three smiling ninjas. “Umm, hi. What’s up?”
The ninjas continued smiling as Sharon watched them nervously.
Sango and Miroku knocked out another batch of soldiers as more came out.
“This is nothing like the battle we had with Naraku when we thought it was the final battle,” Sango said as she and Miroku had their backs to each other.
“Yes, I suppose you could say that,” Miroku said. “This is a lot better and a lot longer and a lot more like a final battle.”
Sango rolled her eyes at how many times Miroku had mentioned a lot. “Well, it’s not over.”
“Indeed,” Miroku said as he watched more soldiers come over to them.
Shippo and Sesshomaru entered the tower. They saw two main hallways, one going east and the other going west.
“You take the one to the east while take the other one,” Sesshomaru said.
Shippo nodded and the two went their separate ways.
Kagome and Inuyasha entered the tower. They saw one main hallway and knew that would lead them to the one person everyone wanted dead.
“Naraku,” Inuyasha said as he brought up a clawed hand.
Kagome looked towards Inuyasha. “This may be the final battle. Be careful.”
“I should say that to you,” Inuyasha said looking down at her. “I don’t want to lose you again so try to stay as far away from Naraku as possible.”
“I will,” Kagome said. “I’ll only use my arrows when needed. And stay alive. I don’t think I could live knowing you weren’t alive.”
“I’ll stay with you forever,” Inuyasha said.
Kagome nodded and they began going down the hall.
Seth cut Inukai across his cheek. Inukai cut him across the arm. Seth let out a low growl and slashed at him.
Nina let out a sigh and looked around the room. Her eyes widened as she spotted Alendria aiming an arrow at her. Nina quickly looked around for something to block the arrow, but found none. Oh, great. What am I going to do? What am I going to do? She began biting her lower lip again drawing blood from it. She ignored the coppery taste and continued looking around for a shield. Alendria shot her arrow. Nina still couldn’t find a shield and looked towards the arrow to see that even if she did find a shield, she wouldn’t be able to put it in front of her in time. She put her hands in front of her as she closed her eyes, waiting for the arrow to hit her. She waited a couple of seconds and opened her eyes to see the arrow was just inches away from her nose. She let out a yelp and jumped back. She then let out a sigh of relief when she saw that the arrow had stopped in midair. She then looked down at her hands to see them glowing a faint pink color. The Shikon no Tama! She looked down her necklace to see she was correct. The jewel was still glowing and it had used its powers to save her. She then looked up to see a very fuming Alendria. She only smirked and stood up. “You’ll have to do better than that.”
“I will! Just you wait!” Alendria scowled as she aimed another arrow.
Nina only smirked all the more as she put her bow and arrows away. She then made her claws appear. “I’m ready whenever you are.”
Koga quickly left the children with Kaede after explaining the whole situation and quickly ran towards the village Naraku now ruled. Don’t worry. I’m coming, my dear Nina.
Sharon ducked as the ninjas jumped at her causing them to crash into the door. “You missed.”
The ninjas got up and charged after her.
“Come back here, sweetie,” one of them said.
“Sweetie?” Sharon asked as her eyebrow began twitching.
“Sweetie, don’t be shy now,” the second one said.
“Sweetie?!” Sharon asked her eyebrow beginning to twitch even more.
“Sweetie, come here and let us guide you to heaven,” the third one said.
Sharon looked like she was on fire. “Don’t call Me SWEETIE!” She punched the first one in the jaw then kicked him in the stomach causing him to fly into the wall. She then did a flip over the second one and kicked his back followed by hitting him across the neck knocking him out. She turned to face the final one and shot out a ball of fire at him causing him to fly into the wall. She let out a sigh and went over to the table to see a bottle of sake and three cups filled with it. She frowned. “Well, that explains it. They were drunk.”
Sesshomaru continued going down the hall when he stopped in front of a door. He knocked and heard a girl’s voice.
“Why are you knocking all of a sudden?” the girl’s voice asked. “It’s not like it’s going to make me want to stay here.”
“Because it’s rude to just walk in,” Sesshomaru said. He then opened the door to see Rin.
Rin’s eyes widened. They then filled with tears. “Sesshomaru…”
“Rin…” Sesshomaru said as he observed her. She still looked the same way she had looked the last time he had seen her.
“Sesshomaru, it is you,” Rin said as her eyes lit up. She quickly ran over to Sesshomaru and threw her arms around his waist. She then began sobbing into his chest. “I’ve missed you for so long. I was so scared and worried.”
“Shh, I’m here now,” Sesshomaru said as he began to stroke the young girl’s hair. He then remembered the flowers she had given him so long ago and what they had meant. Then, it’s true. She does love me. He slightly loosened his grip around her waist and looked into her eyes.
“Sesshomaru, I-I think I’m-“
“I know, Rin. I am, too,” Sesshomaru said.
The two looked into each other’s eyes. They then closed the space between their faces with a kiss.
Inukai growled as he wiped blood away from his eyebrow. “You are getting me bored.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, little brother,” Seth said.
“Good. Because you should be,” Inukai said.
Inuyasha and Kagome were just inches away from the throne room, when the Shichinintai appeared. Inuyasha put Kagome behind him as he unsheathed Tessaiga.
“Get out of the way,” Inuyasha said.
“I’m afraid we can’t do that,” Bankotsu said.
“Then I’ll have to force you out of the way,” Inuyasha said.
“Very well,” Bankotsu said. “Jakotsu, you’ll be the first.”
Jakotsu nodded and grabbed out his swords. “You ready, Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha let out a battle cry as he lunged at Jakotsu.
Nina jumped up on top of a pillar Alendria was standing on. Alendria shot her arrow. Nina jumped over it and clawed at Alendria. Alendria jumped onto a different pillar and began aiming another arrow. Nina frowned and jumped onto the one she was standing on. Alendria gave Nina a glare, put her arrow away, and put her bow on her back. She then put her hands in front of her.
“Fine. If it’s a hand to hand fight you want, it’s a hand to hand fight you’ll get,” Alendria said.
“Bring it on,” Nina said.
Inukai did a flip over Seth. Seth quickly turned around and cut Inukai across the many cuts he already had, opening old ones and creating new ones. Inukai growled and jumped back.
“This battle has been going on long enough,” Inukai said. “It’s time to end it.”
“I agree,” Seth said.
The two charged at each other. Inukai’s sword began glowing red while Seth’s began glowing gold.
“Bakuryuha!” the two brothers cried.
Their swords clashed and a swirl of wind surrounded them.
Nina and Alendria watched in wonder. Alendria then noticed Nina wasn’t paying attention and pushed her. Nina let out a yelp of surprise and fell off the pillar, but caught the edge of it just in time. Nina then shot Alendria a glare.
“Not fair!” Nina cried.
“Not everything in life is fair,” Alendria said calmly. She went over to Nina and began stepping on her fingers. “Such as, you having the Jewel of Four Souls. Or being the descendant of Kagome.”
Nina gasped. “You knew?!”
“Of course I know,” Alendria said. “I am a foreseer. I know all. When I told you we thought you were her reincarnation, I lied. I lied about almost everything except a few things. And what I’m about to tell you is the truth. You and your boyfriend are about to die.”
Nina gave Alendria an ice-cold glare then looked back towards Inukai and Seth. Her eyes widened at what happened next.
The wind clashed then sent Inukai and Seth flying into opposite walls. Seth groaned and stood up. He then went over to Inukai with a maniac smile across his lips. He held his sword up above Inukai’s head.
“Inukai!” Nina cried.
Seth swung his sword down. Inukai’s eyes opened immediately at Nina’s cry and he quickly grabbed his sword and stabbed Seth through the heart. Seth looked down at his younger brother confused then fell to the ground.
Inukai groaned and just sat there as he began to rest.
Nina smiled and saw that Alendria wasn’t paying attention anymore as she was looking down at Seth with wide eyes.
“He-he lost,” Alendria said.
Nina jumped onto the pillar and watched Alendria not wanting to attack her when she was off guard like that. She then saw that Alendria’s emotionless eyes were filled with sorrow.
A tear then went down Alendria’s cheek. “This-this wasn’t suppose to happen. Seth wasn’t supposed to die.” She fell to her knees and began sobbing.
Nina felt her own eyes fill up with tears and kneeled down beside Alendria. “I’m-I’m sorry.” Alendria continued sobbing. Nina sighed knowing there was nothing more she could do. She jumped off the pillar and ran over to Inukai. She then kneeled down beside him and put both her hands on his arm. “Are you okay?”
Inukai put his hand over hers. “I’m okay.” He then stood up.
Nina did the same. “You sure?”
Inukai nodded. He turned his head to meet her hazel eyes. “I’m sure.”
Nina nodded and the two began going down the hall towards wherever it may lead them.
Shippo, Sesshomaru and Rin, Anna, and Sharon soon met each other in the same room where all the halls connected to each other.
“Well, let’s go down to the show down,” Shippo said.
They all nodded and began going down the main hall.
Koga, Sango, and Miroku entered the palace after defeating all the guards.
