Chapter Eleven

“Oh, Kagome, Sota, Nina, Inukai, I’m so glad you’re all right,” Kagome’s mother said as the two boys and two girls told her everything that happened at the mall leaving out the facts that Inukai was half demon, that they stole a sword and Kagome’s new bow, arrows, and quiver from there, and that Inukai stole his new shades, cap, and wig (all of which he was wearing right now) from there.

Nina looked at Inukai from the corner of her eye and frowned when she saw that his new wig looked just like his old one. That and the fact that he didn’t want Mrs. Higurashi to know he was a half-breed. She couldn’t blame him, of course. He did look like Inuyasha after all. She then looked towards Sota. Maybe that had been the reason he had become friends with Inukai. She shook her head. That couldn’t be, He did say he hated all demons including Inuyasha so why would he become friends with an Inuyasha look alike? She then looked towards Sota again. Could it be, that despite himself, he did want to still be Inuyasha’s friend and so took Inukai as his friend? Or is it because when he first met Inukai and didn’t know he was half demon and that he wanted to believe Inuyasha was human and so became Inukai’s friend? She let out a sigh.

Kagome looked towards her. What’s wrong with her? She shook her head and stood up. “Well, Mom, Nina and I have to get going. I’m pretty sure Inuyasha’s waiting for us and Izumi must be worried about me. So, bye.”

Kagome’s mother nodded. “When you come back, though, you had better bring your daughter and Inuyasha.” A smile formed on her face and she put her hands together. “I finally have a grand daughter and a son-in-law.” She sighed.

                                      Kagome and everyone sweat dropped.

“Uhh, sure, Mom,” Kagome said nervously. With that she quickly left the kitchen, left the house, and ran into the mini shrine with Nina following.

The two girls were about to jump into the well when Inukai and Sota ran in their way.

“Oh, no you don’t,” Inukai said putting his hand up in front of him.

“You’re not going any where,” Sota said with his arms crossed.

Nina glared at Inukai. “Let us through.”

Inukai glared at her. “No.” He then noticed she didn’t glare at Sota. His glare turned to an expression of annoyance. “Hey! How come you tell me to let you guys through and don’t tell Sota to?! That’s just wrong! You witch.”

“Witch?!” Nina said as her temple began throbbing with anger.

“Yeah. Witch! What you going to do about it?” Inukai said smirking.

Nina was about to lunge at him when Kagome interrupted the two.

“Umm, anyway, why won’t you let us through?” Kagome asked.

Inukai smirked all the more. “We’ll let you through.”

“Well, then let us!” Nina said.

Inukai raised a finger. “On one condition.”

Nina smirked. “No, I won’t go out with you.”

“What?! I don’t want to go out with you,” Inukai said.

Nina smiled all the more. “Good.”

“So, what’s the condition?” Kagome asked trying to prevent another argument from happening.

Inukai smiled. “Well, the condition is, you have to let us come with you.”

“No way,” Nina said. “We have way too many people as is. There’s obviously Inuyasha, Kagome, and me. Then there’s Sango, Miroku, Izumi, Sakura, Kai, Koga, Shippo, and my two friends, Anna and Sharon. Then after we save Rin and Kohaku, they’ll join us.”

“Well, we’re joining anyway,” Inukai said.

                                      “Oh yeah!” Nina said.

                                      “Yeah!” Inukai said.

Kagome rolled her eyes and stepped in between the two. “Will you two quit it? You’re acting like five year olds.”

Inukai and Nina responded by turning their backs to each other, crossing their arms, and closing their eyes.

“He/She started it,” the two said.

They then turned back around to face each other.

“You started it!” the two said.

                                      They glared at one another.

                                      “Na-uh!” both of them cried.

                                      Kagome sighed. I give up.

Inuyasha growled at Shippo who had taken his apple.

Shippo stuck out his tongue. “Just ‘cause I’m older doesn’t mean I can’t annoy you.”

“Yeah. Well, just ‘cause you’re older doesn’t mean I can’t hurt you,” Inuyasha said bringing up a clawed hand.

Shippo smirked. “Yeah, well, now that I’m older, I can run faster and even fight you.”

“We’ll see,” Inuyasha said jumping off the tree branch he was sitting on and swiping his claws at Shippo.

Shippo dodged it and stuck out his tongue again. “Na, na, na, na, boo, boo. You can’t catch me.” He then ran off followed closely behind by an enraged Inuyasha.

“Here they go again,” Sakura said letting out a sigh.

                                      “Indeed,” Kai said nodding.

“Look, I caught a fish!” Izumi cried holding her fish that was no bigger than her arm.

“Yay,” Kai said running over to her. He was about to do Miroku’s secret technique when Sakura hit him on the head. He looked towards her rubbing his head. “Why’d you do that for?”

“Because you were going to go into your lechery habits,” Sakura said.

                                      “Whatever,” Kai said.

Izumi looked at the two puzzled. “Huh? Lechery habits? What do you mean, Sakura?”

“Uhh, don’t worry about it,” Sakura said. “You’re too young to know.”

“But I’m only a year younger than you,” Izumi said.

“Yes, and that’s exactly why I’m not telling you,” Sakura said. “You need too keep your innocence.”

Izumi continued looking at her puzzled, but shrugged it off and ran off to find her father who was still chasing Shippo.

Koga smiled as he saw Inuyasha chase Shippo. Just as Inuyasha was about to leap at him, he jumped over him causing him to fall face down on the ground. Koga’s smile widened as he went over to Inuyasha.

“Bet ya you wish he was still a whelp now, don’t ya,” Koga said smirking.

“What da ya want, wolf?!” Inuyasha demanded.

“Oh, nothing. Except, I’d like to let ya know that you just lost Shippo,” Koga said still smirking.

“What?!” Inuyasha looked around to find Shippo nowhere in sight. He growled. “Damn it!” He then glared at Koga. “If you hadn’t gotten in my way, I would’ve-“

“You would’ve what? Hurt him?” Koga asked as his smirk disappeared. “Then what would you tell Kagome when she found Shippo all hurt? That he annoyed you and that made you get all angry so you harmed him? I don’t think so.” With that said, Koga left to sit back down underneath a tree that had been shading him leaving a steamed Inuyasha.

“Feh! I don’t need Koga’s stupid advice,” Inuyasha grumbled getting up.

Izumi ran up to him. “Dad, look, I caught a fish!”

All of Inuyasha’s anger disappeared as he saw the fish. He smiled. “And so you did.”

“Uh-huh,” Izumi said smiling. She then looked at her fish to see what looked like it was having trouble breathing. She looked at it confused. Then her eyes saddened as tears filled her eyes.

“Huh? What is it?” Inuyasha asked.

“He can’t breathe,” Izumi said pointing to the fish. “He’s going to die. Daddy, save him.”

“Uhh…” Inuyasha said unsure of what to say. He then realized why it wasn’t breathing. “Honey, it can’t breathe because it breathes water and not air. If it stays out here, it’ll die. So, you’ll have to put it back in the water.”

Izumi nodded and turned to go back to the river.

Inuyasha sadly watched the fish and his daughter leave. There goes dinner. He groaned and ran off to find Shippo.

“I can’t believe Kagome let you come,” Nina said.

“Well, get use to it,” Inukai said. “‘Cause I’m not leaving anytime soon.”

Nina groaned. She then spotted Anna and Sharon ahead. She smiled and ran over to them calling out their names.

                                      Her two friends turned around.

“Hey, it’s Nina,” Anna said smiling as Nina ran over to them.

“Hi!” Sharon said smiling and waving.

Inukai rolled his eyes as Nina stopped once she caught up to her friends.

Kagome smiled. She then heard some shouting. She turned in the direction it was coming from and saw Inuyasha shouting at Shippo about something that oddly sounded like “First you steal my apple and then you steal my cherries. You won’t get away with it! I won’t let you!” Then Inuyasha jumped at Shippo and missed. Shippo stuck out his tongue and said something that sounded like “What’s a matter? I thought you were going to catch me.” He then ran off leaving behind a fuming Inuyasha. Kagome giggled.

Inuyasha’s ears picked up her giggling and turned around to see Kagome. He then got up smiling as all his rage disappeared again. He ran over to Kagome and threw his arms around her.  Kagome was taken aback by this, but returned the hug. Inuyasha began stroking her hair and inhaling her sweet scent.

“I missed you a lot,” Inuyasha whispered into her ear.

“Well, I won’t ever leave you behind again,” Kagome softly said.

Inuyasha loosened his grip a little and looked down at her face. “What do you mean you’ll never leave me again?”

Kagome looked up at him her eyes filled with hurt. “You mean, you want me to leave you?” Tears filled her eyes.

“Huh? What?” Inuyasha asked puzzled. He saw tear go down her cheek and thought bout what he said until he realized what it must’ve meant to Kagome. “No! That isn’t what I meant at all!”

Kagome looked up at him as hope filled her eyes. “You didn’t?
“No,” Inuyasha said as he cupped her chin with his hand. With the other, he removed a few strands of hair away from her face and wiped her tears away. “I could never want you away from me. You and Izumi are the only people I think of constantly.” He tilted her chin up so he could look into her eyes.

                                      “Oh, Inuyasha,” Kagome softly said.

Inuyasha silenced her with a kiss. He then stopped and pulled away a bit just enough to be nose to nose with her. “So, what did you exactly mean by you won’t leave me ever again? Don’t you still want to see your family and hang out with your friends?”

“Of course I do, silly,” Kagome said smiling and playfully pushing Inuyasha.

                                      “Then why did you say-“

“Because you and Izumi will come with me,” Kagome said not letting Inuyasha finish. “It’s time for Izumi to learn the ways of my world and my mom wants to see both of you, so, you’ll both come with me whenever we go to my time.”

Inuyasha smiled and began caressing her cheek. “That sounds like a great idea.” He then kissed her again.

“I had so much fun in Japan,” Nina said. “Umm, present day Japan, I mean. Anyway, you guys should’ve been there.”

“I want to go to present day Japan,” Sharon said.

“I already went there, but I wouldn’t mine going back again,” Anna said.

“Is that all you girls do?” a voice asked. “Talk a lot about things that aren’t important?”

All three of the girls turned around to see Inukai.

Nina groaned. “Well, I was having fun until he showed up.”

Sharon and Anna looked at the two confused.

“Is that any way to introduce me?” Inukai asked in an offended voice. “By insulting me?”

Nina rolled her eyes. She then turned to face her friends. “Guys, I want you to meet the biggest jerk of all time. His name is Inukai.”

“I am not a jerk,” Inukai said growling.

Nina turned to face him. “Yes, you are.”

                                      “I am not!” Inukai cried.

                                      “You are too!” Nina cried.

Inukai growled and was about to lunge at her when he heard a growl. He turned around to face who it was. He saw it was Inuyasha and they were just inches apart which made Inukai stumble back a little. Inuyasha snarled.

“Who are you and what do you want?!” Inuyasha demanded growling.

Inukai looked at Inuyasha a bit frightened, but regained his composure. He smirked as he crossed his arms. “Inuyasha, I presume.”

Inuyasha replied by growling even more.

Nina and her friends looked at Inuyasha puzzled.

“Why’s Inuyasha mad?” Anna asked whispering to her two friends.

                                      Sharon shrugged. “I dunno.”

Nina didn’t reply and watched Inuyasha and Inukai concerned. Why is he angry? Did Shippo, Koga, or Sesshomaru get on his bad side? If that’s the case, then Inuyasha shouldn’t be taking his anger out on Inukai. She looked at Inuyasha her face filled with determination and went in between him and Inukai.

Inuyasha looked at her puzzled and then growled. “Get out of the way. I have a score to settle with this puppy.”

“Puppy?!” Inukai asked as his eyebrow began twitching.

“What? Score? What are you talking about? This is the first time he’s even been to this era,” Nina said getting more and more puzzled by the minute.

“It’s none of your business, Nina. Just move out of the way so I can teach him a lesson,” Inuyasha said cracking his knuckles.

Kagome went over to Inuyasha and put a hand on his shoulder. “Inuyasha, what do you think you’re doing?”

“Teaching this puppy a lesson,” Inuyasha said not taking his gaze off Inukai.

“I am not a puppy,” Inukai said through gritted teeth as his hands turned to fists.

Anna frowned and went over to Inukai. “If he’s a puppy, then where are his dog ears? Doesn’t he need them in order to be a puppy?”

Inuyasha frowned when he realized Anna had a point. He only smelled dog demon on the boy, but didn’t see any signs that said he was. Lucky for Inukai that he had still worn his human disguise.

Nina sighed. She had told Inukai it was okay for him to take his disguise off while they were in Feudal Japan, but he had refused. She knew she would have to deal with Inukai later saying that he had told her so or something along those lines.

Inuyasha then remembered the real reason he had been growling at Inukai. His eyes narrowed and his teeth gritted as he began to talk to Inukai. “Stay away from Nina, Kagome, and Izumi. If I see you with either of them, I will personally put an end to your life.”

Inukai raised an eyebrow in confusion, but didn’t do anything more. He then turned away. “Fine. It’s not like I really care. I mean, who could be around those three anyway?” He then turned around as his face filled with puzzlement again. “So, who’s Izumi anyway?”

Everyone fell down. They then got up sweat dropping.

Inuyasha glared at Inukai. “Izumi’s my daughter, you idiot!”

“Oh.” Inukai turned his back to them once again ignoring the rude comment Inuyasha had made. “Then she must be as ugly as those two.” With that, he left leaving behind a fuming Inuyasha, an angry Kagome, a furious Nina, and a confused Anna and Sharon.

Miroku and Sango (who had Kirara on her lap) heard rustling in the bushes near to them. They stood up and grabbed out their weapons.

                                      “Who’s there?” Sango asked.

“And what do you want?” Miroku asked ready to open the wind tunnel.

Inukai came out of the bushes holding his hands up. “I come in peace.”

Sango and Miroku lowered their weapons and went over to Inukai curiously. They observed his clothes. Inukai sweat dropped as they began feeling the cloth to see what it was made of.

                                      “Real leather,” Sago said.

                                      Miroku nodded. “Indeed.”

The two then back up a couple of feet.

“Hmm, it looks to me as though he maybe from Lady Kagome and Nina’s time,” Miroku said.

Inukai wanted to tell Miroku that Nina was no lady, but decided not to. “So, umm, are you two like done?”

                                      Miroku and Sango nodded.

“Okay. Good,” Inukai said lowering his hands. “The name’s Inukai. And you two would be?”

                                      Sango and Miroku exchanged glances.

“Can you hold on for minute?” Miroku asked.

                                      Inukai shrugged. “Okay.”

                                      Sango ran off.

“So, tell me, where are you from,” Miroku said.

Inukai sighed and began telling Miroku everything that the monk asked him.

Inuyasha looked towards Kagome. “So, you mind explaining to me who that whelp was?”

“Not really,” Kagome said as her eyes narrowed with suspicion. “Why won’t you let him near Nina? She’s not your daughter or wife so I don’t see why you are so worried about her.”

Inuyasha frowned. “She has the Shikon no Tama and I don’t trust that puppy.”

“His name is Inukai,” Kagome said. “And I don’t think he even knows about the jewel.”

“Kagome, he has the scent of dog demon all over him. How can you say he doesn’t even know about the jewel?” Inuyasha said.

Kagome thought about this. If I say he that he has the scent of dog demon on him because he’s half dog demon, Inuyasha might go on ahead and kill him no matter what. But if I just say that Inuyasha’s just imagining things, he might just get even more suspicious. She made up her mind of what to tell Inuyasha, but just as she was about to say something, Inuyasha spoke.

“Kagome, didn’t you sense his demonic aura?” Inuyasha asked.

Kagome sighed. Well, here goes nothing. “Yes, Inuyasha. I did, but he’s-he’s half dog demon like you.”

Inuyasha’s eyes widened. “He is? Then how come he-“

“Because he’s wearing a disguise,” Kagome said. “He’s from my world, you know. There are probably several demons who appear human wearing disguises like that.”

Inuyasha nodded remembering Nina telling him about Yura. “Well, he still has to stay away from Nina. I don’t trust him around her.”

                                      Kagome frowned. “Why?”

Inuyasha just grunted and said, “Don’t worry about it.”

Kagome let out a defeated sigh as Inuyasha walked ahead of her.

Nina saw Inuyasha leave Kagome behind and knew this was her chance to get some questions answered. She ran up to him. “Hey, Inuyasha! Can I ask you something?” she said smiling.

Inuyasha frowned hoping the question was going to be why he was being so protective of her all of a sudden. “What is it?”

Nina’s smile widened. “Well, I was wondering if you could tell me exactly how many years ago you thought Kagome had died.”

Inuyasha sighed. “Didn’t Kagome tell you?”

                                      Nina shook her head.

“Well, if you must know, it was seven years ago,” Inuyasha said growling as he remembered Naraku seriously wounding Kagome.

Nina’s expression changed to a look of confusion. But Kagome said it was three years ago when Naraku had attacked her. Sesshomaru had said it was seven years ago, too. One of them has to be lying, but why would they lie about something like that?

“Are you done?” Inuyasha asked as they drew nearer and nearer to the spot where Sango and the others were.

Nina was still in deep thought and so did not hear a word Inuyasha said.

Inuyasha sighed and looked up ahead. His eyes narrowed as he saw the one person he had warned earlier. He growled.

“Anyway, in my world we have lots of great stuff. Such as video games, motorcycles, cars, a variety selection of food like hot dogs, hamburgers, candy,” Inukai said looking towards Shippo when he mentioned candy. “We also have-“ Inukai didn’t get to finish as he felt someone shove him into the ground. Inukai looked up at the one who had shoved him to see it was Inuyasha. Inukai smirked and got up. “So, we meet again, Inuyasha.”

Sango and the others looked from Inuyasha to Inukai in puzzlement.

Inuyasha growled. “I thought I told you stay away from my daughter.” He smirked as he looked on top of Inukai’s head and added, “Half-breed.”

Inukai looked at him in confusion for a moment and then looked down at the ground to see his hat, sunglasses, and wig had fallen off his head. “Ahh, man. I didn’t want you guys to know.” His dog-ears drooped. He then shot his head as his ears also shot up and pointed a finger at Inuyasha. “This is all your fault! If you hadn’t so rudely pushed me, no one here would’ve found out that I was a stinkin’ half breed.”

Nina showed up and glared at Inukai. “Don’t you dare be ashamed of what you are! I’m the same thing as you except I may have some priestess powers, but I’m not ashamed of it!”

Inukai snorted. “Yeah, but your friends don’t hate demons.” As he said this he looked towards Kagome, Anna, and Sharon who had just arrived. Sota, who had arrived after the three girls, looked down at the ground, guiltily.

Nina looked like she was ready to explode. “Hey! Sota told you he was sorry, okay! Quit blaming him!”

“Yeah, well, well…” Inukai snarled and turned his back to Nina with his arms crossed and his eyes closed angry with himself that he couldn’t think of anything better to defend himself with.

Inuyasha let out a low growl and would’ve lunged at Inukai if Kagome didn’t have a restraining hand on his shoulder.

Miroku, Sango, Izumi, Sakura, Kai, Shippo, and Koga looked from Nina to Inukai to Inuyasha in confusion. Anna rolled her eyes and Sharon frowned. Sesshomaru just had his arms crossed and didn’t look the bit interested in what was going on.

“I believe, now that Kagome and Nina are with us, that it is time to work out a plan to destroy Naraku once in for all as well as save Rin and Kohaku,” Sesshomaru said.

“He’s right,” Miroku said hoping that he called stop an argument from happening between Inukai, Nina, and Inuyasha.

                                      “Then let’s get-“

Inuyasha didn’t get to finish as someone or something had pushed him into the ground. Inuyasha got up and looked towards whatever had pushed him to see a demon.

The demon had long white hair that covered his glowing blood red eyes. He wore a black shirt that was designed like Inuyasha’s, a red shirt underneath that one, black pants, and brown shoes that were designed like Sesshomaru’s. The demon wielded a sword that was similar to Sesshomaru’s Toukijin except the blade was black and the hilt was red.

Inukai snarled and brought up one of his claws in front of his face. “What do you want, Seth?!”

“Seth?” Inuyasha and everyone asked with raised eyebrows.

“Yes, that would be my name,” Seth said in an ice-cold voice. “It’s nice seeing you again, dear little brother.”

                                      “Brother?” everyone asked again.

“Yeah. He’s my older half brother,” Inukai said not taking his eyes off Seth. “He’s full dog demon and I’m only half.”

Nina rolled her eyes. As if I didn’t have enough problems. Now there’s a Sesshomaru wanna-be. Sheesh!

“What do you want, Seth?” Inukai asked cracking his knuckles.

Seth looked towards his younger brother. “As if I’d want anything from you. You have nothing that is worthy to be in my possession.”
                                      “Why you-“

“Then what do you want?!” Nina demanded not letting Inukai finish.

“Yeah,” Inuyasha said stepping beside Inukai.

Seth smirked. “I’m only here for one thing.”

“And that would be?” Sango asked.

She and everyone else had their weapons out and ready to attack Seth if need be.

Seth’s eyes darted to the spot where the Shikon no Tama was.

Nina noticed this and quickly covered it with her hand.

Seth then looked towards Inukai. “I only wish for the jewel that that wench happens to possess.”

                                      “Wench?!” Nina asked outraged.

“Heh, well, it looks like I do have something you want after all,” Inukai said smirking. He smiled as he saw his brother narrow his eyes. “Well, then, I have one word for you. No.”

                                      “You’ll regret that,” Seth said.

“Heh, well, I won’t let ya get to it either, so deal with it,” Inuyasha said.

“Very well,” Seth said. “Then I have no choice but to fight you.”

“Fine,” Inuyasha said. “Nina, Sharon, Anna, Shippo, you guys and the kids make a run for it. The rest of us will take care of this nuisance.”

“No way!” Nina cried. “I’m staying.” Besides, if Seth is after the jewel, then he’ll follow me. Wait! If he follows me, then I can get everyone out of danger!

Sesshomaru looked towards Seth. He looks familiar. He remembered when he had gone to see Naraku one time and Seth was there standing as a head advisor. I knew it! “He works for Naraku.” As he said this, he let out a low growl.

“Ahh, so you have recognized me,” Seth said smiling. “Good, for I shall be your assassin.”

“We’ll see,” Sesshomaru said glaring daggers at Seth.

Inuyasha looked towards Nina again. “Do I have to repeat myself?!”

Nina growled. I might be younger than him, but he’s not the boss of me and I have my own plan anyway!

Inuyasha growled in frustration as he saw that Nina wasn’t going to obey him. He turned to look to Sharon and Anna for help to see that they weren’t going to listen to him either.

Seth smirked and held his sword in front of him. “So, who would like to go first?”

Inuyasha growled and charged at Seth holding Tessaiga high above his head. Seth jumped over him and kicked Inuyasha’s back causing him to fall down face flat into the ground. Seth landed gracefully on the ground and turned to face Inuyasha.

“You’ll have to do better than that half breed,” Seth said.

“Oh, yeah. Take this!” Inukai said charging at his half brother.

Seth easily dodged the attack. “Inukai, I’m disappointed. Can’t you do a little better than that so you’ll actually be a match against me?”

Inukai let out a growl and was about to charge after Seth when he felt a sword cut his right arm followed by another cutting his left. Inukai turned around to see a third coming straight for his head. He ducked causing the sword to cut a few strands of his hair. He then glared at the owner of the swords.

The owner smiled at Inukai. “Hello. My name’s Jakotsu. What’s yours?”

Inukai was about to reply when he heard the swords coming in his direction again. He ducked and saw the swords fly back to their owner.

                                      Jakotsu chuckled.

Seth rolled his eyes and turned around to face Inuyasha to see him fuming.

“You’re not going to get away from me!” Inuyasha cried charging at Seth again.

Seth frowned and jumped over him again. He let out a yawn. “Can’t you do any better than that?”

“I can assure you that I can,” Sango said getting ready to throw her boomerang.

Seth turned to face her. “Oh. Show me then.”

Sango threw her boomerang at Seth. Seth easily dodged it and gave Sango a disappointed look.

“And here you are, a demon exterminator and you can’t even hit me,” Seth said.

Sango glared at him and was about to unsheathe her sword when she heard thumping coming from behind her followed by Miroku crying out her name. She turned around to see a huge machine type looking creature that sort of looked human.

The machine creature smiled. “I am Genkotsu and I will be the one to kill you.”

                                      “We’ll see,” Sango said.

Miroku looked at his opponent, which happened to look like a monk. The monk smiled.

“I am Renkotsu,” the monk said.

Shippo eyed his opponent which happened to be very ugly which probably explained the white clothes he wore that practically covered everything including his face, at least some of it. Shippo guessed his opponent was elderly since it looked like the short man had winkles.

“I am called Mukotsu,” the elderly man said.

Koga looked towards his opponent getting his claws ready. His opponent was a young man, but looked a little older than Jakotsu. The man held up his weapon, which looked similar to the weapon Sanosuke used.

The man smiled. “My name is Suikotsu and I will be the one to kill you, wolf.”

Jakotsu, Genkotsu, Renkotsu, Mukotsu, and Suikotsu made a little huddle and looked towards their opponents.

“And we are the Shichinintai Gang,” the five of them chorused.

“And I am the leader of it,” another voice said.

Everyone turned in the direction of the voice to see another man.

“And my name is Bankotsu,” the man said.

                                      “He’s mine,” Sharon said.

Nina rolled her eyes. Typical. Sharon wants to take out the leader.

Anna looked towards the children. She took their hands. “Come on. We’re getting out of here.”

The children groaned, but followed Anna as she took the kids away from where a battle was going to begin.

Sota frowned. “And no one wants to fight me? That’s so unfair.”

Bankotsu smiled. “Oh, don’t worry. We made sure everyone has someone to fight.” He snapped his fingers.

Out of the bushes came a large troll like creature with huge red eyes. It had pale blue colored skin and wore brown fur around its waist. It had long sharp nails, fangs hanging over its lower jaw with drool going down them, and its face looked like it was all scrunched up.

Sota looked up at the troll with wide eyes. “He just had to go and give me the biggest enemy, didn’t he.” He sighed. “Oh, well. Here goes nothing.” He unsheathed his new sword and charged at the troll.

Nina looked around searching for whom ever might be her enemy.

Bankotsu saw this and smiled. “Oh. Don’t worry, young half-breed priestess, you have someone to fight as well. When she will come, though, is up to her.”

Her? Nina thought. So then my opponent is a girl? Where is she? She continued searching for her opponent.

Inukai charged after Jakotsu. Inuyasha went after Seth. Sango went after Genkotsu. Miroku went after Renkotsu. Shippo went after Mukotsu. Koga went after Suikotsu. Sharon went after Bankotsu. Sesshomaru went after the troll to help Sota.

Anna hid the children in the bushes. “Stay here. I’m going to go help everyone else.” She was about to leave when she heard a woman’s voice.

“Ha, ha, ha, ha, you think you’re going to help your little friends? I won’t allow it,” the voice said.

Anna turned towards the voice to see a young woman no older than seventeen. She had long blue hair that reached her knees despite her wearing a ponytail, sapphire colored eyes, and wore red lipstick. She wore a blue kimono, light blue tights, dark blue shoes, and her hair tie was blue. She carried a spear.

“I am your opponent and my name is Mahira,” the woman said.

Anna took her backpack off her back and grabbed out her sword. “Then let’s fight.”

Jakotsu threw his swords at Inukai again. Inukai dodged all them except one, which cut him on the cheek. Jakotsu smiled.

Seth jumped over Inuyasha again and kicked him down to the ground again. Inuyasha got up fuming. He was getting tired of Seth doing the same old move. Seth smirked as he saw Inuyasha fume.

Sango cut Genkotsu with her sword to see it had no affect on him whatsoever. She sheathed her sword and grabbed out her boomerang again and was about to hit Genkotsu when he attacked her sending out saucers followed by shooting out a cannonball.

Renkotsu wrapped rope around Miroku’s right wrist and sent fire down it. Miroku tried getting free, but found that it was very difficult to do so.

Shippo jumped up in the air and used his foxfire. Mukotsu smiled and dodged it. He then sent out purple poisonous fumes. Shippo covered his mouth trying not to inhale the fumes.

Koga clawed at Suikotsu. Suikotsu smiled and dodged it. He then slashed at Koga creating a gash on his stomach despite the armor he wore there. Koga put his hand to his wound and glared at Suikotsu who only smirked at the wound he had given to Koga.

Sharon charged after Bankotsu. Bankotsu sighed and jumped over her. He then looked at her showing that he was very bored and not the least bit excited. Sharon growled and glared at him.

Sota cut the troll on the foot seeing as he couldn’t jump on top of it. Sesshomaru jumped up and used his golden whip like attack on it. The troll roared and threw a hand at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru easily dodged it and was about to attack it again when someone or something pushed him into the ground.

Sesshomaru groaned and looked up at the one who had pushed him to see a young man who appeared to be in his early twenties. He had long black hair that was tied back in a long braid that reached his waist and dark eyes that looked like black holes. He wore a green shirt that was styled just like Inuyasha’s, green pants that were also designed like Inuyasha’s, and black shoes that were similar to Sesshomaru’s. He smirked as he looked down at Sesshomaru.

“Did that hurt?” the man asked. “I am very sorry if it did.” His smirk widened. “Not!” He then looked as though he was in deep thought then looked down at Sesshomaru again. “Oh. By the way, the name’s Demon. It really is if you’re going to ask by the way.”

Sesshomaru rubbed his head and got up.

Nina continued looking around for her enemy when she heard something flying towards her. She turned around just in time to see an arrow coming towards her. She didn’t move an inch as the arrow went pass her cutting a few strands of hair. She looked towards the one who had aimed to kill her and let out a gasp.

Anna blocked Mahira’s attack with her sword. Mahira only smirked and kicked her in the stomach. Fell down onto her back due to this. Mahira went over to her and pointed her spear at her.

“I expected more than this,” Mahira said.

Anna ignored her and grabbed one of her legs and tripped her. This caught Mahira by surprise as she fell to the ground. Anna quickly got up and went in for the kill. Mahira quickly grabbed her spear and blocked the attack. The two glared daggers at each other.

Inukai ducked as another sword flew by him. He then jumped into a tree and began jumping from tree to tree as Jakotsu searched for him. Once Inukai was behind Jakotsu, he jumped out of the tree and aimed to kick his opponent.

Seth dodged Inuyasha’s attack again and felt an arrow hit him in the arm. He turned around to see Kagome aiming another arrow.

“Forgetting someone?” Kagome asked as she shot another arrow.

Seth jumped over Inuyasha again as he began charging after him again and ran over to Kagome. Kagome gasped as he neared her and looked towards Inuyasha for help to see he was already coming to her rescue. Seth quickly turned around and swung his sword as golden light erupted from it and hit Inuyasha who had no time to react. Inuyasha fell to the ground as Kagome cried out his name. Seth smirked and turned his attention back to Kagome.

“Now, you’re next,” he said as he saw Kagome’s face fill with anger.

Sango dodged all of Genkotsu’s attacks as she jumped onto Kirara’s back. Kirara roared at the one who tried to harm her master. Sango threw her boomerang. Genkotsu threw one of his saucers at her causing the boomerang to crash into the ground. The saucer continued going towards Sango and Kirara. Sango looked for a way to dodge this next attack to find it hopeless unless Kirara could move out of the way in time, which she doubted very much.

Miroku looked towards Sango and saw what was going to happen. He opened his wind tunnel and aimed for the saucer despite the fact that the rope was still burning him. Renkotsu saw what was going to happen and snapped his fingers. The Saimyosho appeared and went towards the wind tunnel. Miroku noticed this and quickly wrapped the rosary around his arm hoping that Sango would be fine now.

Shippo used his foxfire again hoping it would get rid of the poisonous fumes, but found it didn’t work. Mukotsu laughed at Shippo attempts.

Koga clawed Suikotsu across the cheek. Suikotsu glared at him and cut Koga on the shoulder. Koga ignored the pain and went after Suikotsu again.

Sharon charged after Bankotsu again. He jumped up again. She did the same, which startled Bankotsu. She then kicked him in the stomach causing him to fly into a tree.

Sota soon found he wasn’t having much luck against the troll and wished he had someone his own size to fight. The troll noticed him and picked him up squishing him in his hand.

Sesshomaru grabbed out Toukijin and charged after Demon. Demon dodged his attack and grabbed out his own sword. The two the battled with their swords blocking every attack they used against each other.

Nina’s eyes widened as she stuttered the words that refused to come out of her mouth, “A-Alendria, w-why?” For the one who stood in front of her aiming another arrow was indeed Alendria.

“What do you think?” Alendria asked in an ice-cold voice.

“Bu-but why?” Nina asked. “You’re a priestess. Your job is to fight demons. N-not join them.”

Alendria smirked. “I’m just doing my part in preventing the prophecy from being fulfilled. I will not allow the Chosen One to exist. Nor will I allow the ones who create her to exist. Naraku and the Greater Evil shall exist and do as they desire.”

Nina felt her eyes fill up with tears. “Bu-but I can’t k-kill you.”

“Let your demon blood take over,” Alendria said. “Let it hate me for being a priestess.”

                                      “No,” Nina said.

“Let your hate take over you,” Alendria said. “Kill me. Let the Shikon Jewel become tainted with hate.”

“What?” Nina asked as looked down at the jewel. It slightly glowed and she felt the warmth emanating from it. She looked towards Alendria. “S-so then you w-work for N-Naraku? W-hy? I-I don’t un-understand.”

“You understand very little,” Alendria said. “You don’t even understand who you are or what you are. Nor do you understand your fate or destiny.”

Inuyasha continued charging towards Seth and saw he was too late as Seth went in for the kill. Inuyasha cried out her name. All fighting ceased as they looked towards Kagome and Seth. Nina’s face filled with fear as she saw Kagome about to get killed. She knew it was bad enough when she had actually seen the event take place and couldn’t move to prevent it, but now she could. It was just a matter of timing.

Don’t let her die, Nina thought as she took her gaze off Kagome and looked down at the ground causing her hair to cover her face so that no one could see her expression. Please. She can’t leave Inuyasha or Izumi or any of her friends. I couldn’t stand them to fill that pain. Tears began going down her face as the Shikon no Tama began glowing even more. Pink light shot out of the jewel and surrounded Kagome’s body.

Kagome closed her eyes as she got ready to fill the pain Seth was about to inflict upon her.

Inuyasha stopped in his tracks and looked from Nina to Kagome eyes wide in puzzlement and surprise.

Seth went cut at the Kagome, but, due to the pink light, he and his sword bounced off it and he crashed into a tree.

Kagome opened her eyes as she heard a cry of surprise coming from Seth. She saw she was enveloped in pink light and looked towards the source of it to see Nina looking down and the Shikon Jewel as it continued to glow brightly.

Seth got up and looked towards his comrades to see they were just as bewildered as he was about what was going on. He sighed and sheathed his sword. “Shichinintai Gang, Alendria, Demon, Mahira, let’s be off. There is no longer any need to be here.”

Jakotsu, Mukotsu, Genkotsu, Renkotsu, Suikotsu, and Bankotsu smirked at their opponents and went over to Seth.

Alendria looked towards Nina. “When we meet again, you will hate me.” With that said, she joined Seth and the Shichinintai Gang.

Demon looked down at Sesshomaru. “We will meet again and when we do, I’ll be sure to kill you.” He then joined Seth, Alendria, and the Shichinintai Gang.

Mahira cursed and looked towards Anna who was waiting for Mahira’s next attack. “I must take my leave, but be warned, human, I will come back.” She then left to join her allies.

Anna frowned and went over to the kids to make sure they were okay. After she was done doing that, she and the kids went to join their friends.

Seth looked down at all his enemies. “When we come back, we’ll be sure to kill you.” He and the others were surrounded by dark light. After it was gone, they, too, were gone.

Inuyasha and the others (except Nina) quickly ran to Kagome’s side as the pink light began disappearing.

Kagome looked at her hands then looked towards Nina still in puzzlement.

Inuyasha quickly hugged his wife. “I-I thought I almost lost you there for a minute.”

Kagome put her arms around his waist. “I-I thought the same thing, too.”

“Are you okay?” Shippo asked in a concerned voice.

“How did that happen?” Sango asked.

“Lady Kagome, are you hurt?” Miroku asked.

Inukai crossed his arms trying not show that he, too, was concerned for Kagome.

Koga looked towards Nina to see that the Shikon no Tama had stopped glowing.

Kagome and Inuyasha loosened their grip on each other.

“We should go thank Nina,” Kagome said. “After all, it was her that saved me.”

Inuyasha nodded and turned to face Nina when he saw her fall to her knees. Anna was now by her side. Nina felt her eyes closed as she hit to the ground. The last thing she heard was Anna crying out her name until she was swallowed up by darkness.
