Not only has Yuuki bowed out of the competition, but he has taken an indefinite leave from school as well. Although he tries not to show it, Reiji is troubled by Yuuki's disappearance, and it definitely shows in his battling. At the competition, they defeat Sazaki and his Gyan, but Sei's Gunpla, Build Strike, takes damage. Has Reiji lost his reason for battling??

Elsewhere Yuuki is performing very well in his PPSE trial battles, but he is troubled as well. He takes a temporary flight home.

Reiji wanders through the shopping district pondering his purpose in this World. He runs into Mr. Ral, who explains why people are serious about Gunpla. To Reiji's surprise, Yuuki comes walking up to them. Reiji races to Sei's home. Out of breath, he asks Sei if he could use the Build Strike. He explains it may get damaged. Sei knew what was about to take place and hands him the Build Strike claiming "This is Reiji's personal unit."

At the school Yuuki and Reiji engage in a major battle. Each unit is taking excessive damage. Unbeknownst to the battlers, many have come to watch. This includes Mr. Ral, Fellini, and Allan Adams from the PPSE (Plavsky Particle System Engineering) Company.

Although both Gunpla are destroyed and Yuuki claimed victory, this fuels Reiji's desire to win next time. However, the Build Strike can never be repaired before their next competition. Sei grins. He's prepared and displays his latest creation to Reiji, The Build Gundam MK-II.
