New Team's First Outing! Chase Drimogemon!

A numemon is wreaking havoc at an apartment building, and the members of DATS are sent to stop him. Unfortunately, Tohma and Masaru are not working as a team, and therefore, it's up to Yoshino and Raramon to take down the renegade digimon. "Honestly," she sighs listening to her two workmates argue. "What could Captain Satsuma be thinking making them partners??"

After their mission, Tohma reluctantly takes Masaru home. He meets young Chika and Masaru's mother before driving off in his limo. (It is this scene where you learn that Tohma has some underlying problem relating to families.)

At a nearby bank, two robbers using an unusual device have accidentally opened a portal to the digital world. A Drimogemon (adult level....beast type) makes his way into the human world startling the bumbling criminals. Once they get over their shock, the two realize that this digimon can be very useful. Little do they know....DATS has tracked this renegade digimon.

Later that evening the two criminals instruct the unknowing Drimogemon to drill into an ATM machine. Just as they are about to get away with the money, Tohma and the others arrive. Trying to apprehend the digimon is chaotic due to its ability to drill through anything. It certainly doesn't help that Tohma is ordering Masaru around, however, Masaru is going to do his own thing regardless of the orders. Unfortunately, Drimogemon is able to escape back to the digital world even though all of the DATS digimon evolved.

Back at headquarters, Tohma says he will go to the digital world to capture Drimogemon, but Captain Satsuma absolutely refuses to let him. "It's too dangerous," he says. That doesn't stop Tohma. Later that evening he tricks Yoshino by locking her out of the control room. He then activates the equipment and transports himself just as Yoshino has made her way back in. She can't believe what just happened.
