Just what happened in Raven's (not his real name) life that made him hate all Zoids so intently? Raven's home is the Blue Planet which lies far across the Milky Way. His parents were scientists and went to Planet Zi to study organoids. It's quite possible that Raven disliked his parents spending more time with Zoids than himself (just a thought). Raven admitted he disliked Zoids to his father. Shortly after, from what it appears, Raven's parents were killed after (spoiler) Ambient emerged from his capsule.

After the death of his parents, Raven was found by Van's father and the Wind Colony's priest. The young boy was traumatized and unable to remember his name. They had also found an organoid capsule containing Shadow. Unfortunately, Prozen sent in his troops searching for organoids as well as organoid information. A Republican soldier tries to destroy Shadow's capsule rather than let the Empire have it. In Prozen's anger he orders his men to destroy the Wind Colony. Raven was again abandoned when Van's father is killed protecting the village from the attack (this may be the reason he harbors a hatred toward Van...analytical, aren't I?).

Unwilling to return to the Empire empty handed after Shadow escapes, Prozen takes the young boy. He names him Raven after his jet black hair. Prozen finds Raven amusing and trains him to be a lean-mean fighting machine (I always wanted to say that). At the end of his training Raven is awarded Shadow and sent out to do Prozen's bidding. Raven causes continuous mass destruction for the Republicans until Van is able to defeat him.

In Guardian Force, Raven seems to wander aimlessly destroying military bases until the fateful day he comes face-to-face with Van. With the Genosaurer and Shadow, Raven proceeds to seek revenge against his nemesis....Van. Eventually, Shadow and the Genosaurer evolve to the Geno Breaker causing even more destruction. Hiltz, rather deliberately, put a stop to that when he destroyed Shadow with the charged partical gun of the Death Stinger. Now it's just wait and see what happens.
