Major Shubaltz is the epitome of a military man. He is extremely dedicated to Emporer Rudolph and the Imperial forces. Initially, you may be led to believe that he is the enemy, however, as the series progresses, you realize he is a gentleman only carrying out his duties. He is protective of his men and will not hesitate to retreat if it means saving lives. To him a peaceful settlement is the best.

In Season II or Guardian Force, Karl Shubaltz is approximately 27 years old and enjoys the rank of Colonel. We are also introduced to his younger brother Lieutenant Thomas Richard Shubaltz who heads up the Guardian Force for the Imperial side. Although, they share a mutual admiration for each other, Colonel Shubaltz often becomes irritated with his younger brother for his lack of military ethics when addressing a senior officer.

Karl Shubaltz is voiced by the talented Jonathan Love who also voices, among others, Otaru of Saber Marionette J. And what a sexy voice it is....don't you agree?
