The Capital Collapses_______________________________ Thanks to Thomas and Irvine, the Death Stinger must now travel by ground giving New Helic City barely enough time for evacuations. Prince Rudolph informs President Camford that they are accepting all refugees in addition to sending in support forces which include Colonel Shubaltz's 1st Armor Division. In the skys overhead, a surveillance Pteras is tracking the movement of the Death Stinger and reporting the information back to Major Herman. The deadly Zoid is travelling at 40 kilometers per day and will cross the mountains in 2 hours. Herman's plan is to sink the Death Stinger into molten magma with the use of strategic bombing along its path. Thomas and Irvine are psyched to learn they will head up the bombing team and prepare to deploy. Meanwhile, in a more desolate area of Zi, Van is involved in a fierce battle with Ryss and the Blue Genosaurer. Ryss has caused a considerable amount of damage to the Blade Liger, but the battle continues. In the deserted, partially destroyed home where he grew up, Raven sits sadly watching Shadow's condition deteriorating. He recalls a phrase he once heard....how endings and beginnings were related, and now he sits in the home where his parents were killed. Back at the base, the deployment of the bombing team is cancelled when surveillance reveals the Death Stinger has burrowed itself underground and into the molten magma. Is this Hiltz's way of demonstrating his ruthless Zoid has no weakness? When Colonel Shubaltz' forces arrive, the key officers assemble along with President Camford to review their defensive battle plan. After Major Herman briefs the group, an evil hologram appears. It's Hiltz. President Camford asks....why? Hiltz answers, "Only the strong have the right to survive. Only those with superior abilities will prosper. It is up to me to destroy the weak." (Only a demented mind could think like this....kind of reminds me of....arrrgh....I won't even go there!!!) Suddenly the Death Stinger emerges from beneath the middle of the city and begins to destroy anything around it. Herman frantically calls back the defense forces. At the same time Thomas, Irvine, and the others set out to attack head on in an effort to minimize the damage until the forces can arrive. Again we return to Raven who is recalling his tragic past and the death of his parents at the hand of an organoid. He breaks down in tears not wanting to be left alone again. Just then, Shadow glows in what appears to be his heart area and vanishes. An anguished Raven stands alone in the home where it all began. Back in the city, Thomas and Irvine use their best attacks against the Death Stinger, but Hiltz defiantly activates his Zoid's shield making it even more impossible to damage. It doesn't take long before the red-haired maniac tosses our heroes into the surrounding buildings causing their Zoids to command system freeze. Relieved to hear Thomas and Irvine survived, Major Herman and Colonel Shubaltz roll into action. Their Plan...to neutralize the Death Stinger's shield. Herman charges forward with his shield Liger while Colonel Shubaltz follows close behind in the red Saber Tiger. Although the plan was a good one, they too are tossed around by the strength of the Death Stinger. Finally, the defense forces arrive on the scene. The battle is devastating with no win in sight for the good-guys when an angry Raven appears. Simultaneously, Madam President calls for a withdrawal of all forces. Raven, however, vows to destroy the Death Stinger and its pilot. Hiltz is amused and taunt's Raven citing his inadequacy without the help of Shadow. The Death Stinger grabs the Geno Breaker and crushes it as easily as a can of soda. Raven falls from the cockpit and faces his adversary. Just as Hiltz is about to put an end to Raven claiming the Dark Kaiser will be disappointed in his betrayal, Ryss arrives. She stands by Raven's side questioning Hiltz's intentions. Hiltz sarcastically chants his goodbyes and fires his charged partical gun at his once partners in crime. Some time later, Van arrives to a completely demolished New Helic City. On his comlink, he receives an encoded message. All remaining forces are to proceed to Windene Lake.
