Hiltz has taken his Hammer Kaizer to the edge of space. Moonbay and Fiona continue to track Hiltz in their Petras relaying to Herman, Hiltz's location but they are unable to get to that altitude. Hiltz then broadcasts the view from his ship to the Republic's bases. He asks Herman the name of the city but Herman refuses to tell him that. Hiltz tells Herman that the city will not need to have a name soon. The Hammer Kaizer's cargo bay opens to reveal the Death Stinger. Hiltz fires a charged particle beam at the city and vaporizes it. Hiltz then tells Hermann that he's going to destroy the New Helic Republic's capital.

The only weapons that the Republic can potentially reach the Hammer Kaiser are two modified Storm Sworders. Herman assigns Fiona and Moonbay to continue to modify the Zoids and details Van, Irvine and Thomas to the base to pilot them. However, the trio is intercepted by a bunch of zoids sent by Hiltz. Van urges Thomas and Irvine to go ahead while he stays behind to take care of the problem. Meanwhile, in a clear indication of his power and knowledge, Hiltz demolishes the mountaintop base housing a telescope that the Republic was using to track him.

A scene change to Raven, he's managed to get the GenoBreaker to pick up Shadow, currently solidified into stone and flies off. Van and the Republic troops managed to mop up the first batch of Hiltz's men but the second wave almost swamps them. This sends Van into a manic rage. Meanwhile, the Republicans continue to track the Hammer Kaiser with radar and estimates that the Death Stinger will be within firing range in a little over 1 hour. Hiltz meanwhile continues to fire randomly destroying all in his path.

Irvine and Thomas arrives at the base and are amazed at the boosters strapped onto the Storm Sworders. Irvine commented they looked like the Type II boosters that Dr D once strapped onto Moonbay's Gustav. Moonbay and Fiona assures him that it is but they've fixed the bugs. The pair are briefed on their mission and are warned that due to the incredible speed and acceleration, the zoids will stressed to their maximum and anything other than small maneuvers might tear the frame apart. *very encouraging*

The Storm Sworders launch, with Dr D's boosters giving them an insane speed. The boosters are jettisoned once the zoids reach a certain height. Thomas and Irvine manages to get lock on with their missiles. With great gusto they launch only to find that the target was an electronic and holographic bait set by Hiltz. Without any more missiles, our heroes decided to brave the anti-aircraft fire from the Hammer Kaiser and closes in to use their blades. They dodged the weapons fire by millimeters *cos of the stress of large movements* and manages to slice through the sides of the Hammer Kaiser with their blades.

Damaged, the Hammer Kaiser begins a descent ending in a huge crash fireball. As Thomas and Irvine flew past thinking the DS has been destroyed, a charged particle beam lances out of the smoke and clips their Storm Sworders. A smirking Hiltz commands the Death Stinger, unscathed of course, out of the wreckage to continue his trek towards the New Helic Republic's capital.
