The Nightmare

The episode starts off with Van, Irvine, and Thomas (with help from Zeke ^^;) working/repairing their Zoids. Moonbay and Fiona watch in the back ground as they say they need all the help they can get to beat Raven. Moonbay gets tired and Fiona offers her a ‘special blend’ of coffee, no salt included.

Meanwhile, Hiltz and his red organoid are watching a large pool of water containing a zoid inside. Hiltz says that if the zoid’s core grows any larger the Guardian Force (GF) will detect them. He believes Alisia Lennette (sp?) Aka Fiona, has already detected their presence, being an ancient Zoidian and all.

Fiona gasps feeling the energy of Hiltz’s zoid and drops her coffee. Moonbay becomes worried and tells her to go to bed, but Fiona brushes it. The two girls head off to bed after Moonbay and Irvine make insults at each other.

In the next scene, Hiltz is bowing and talking before the Dark Kaiser. He speaks about the power of fusing two Zoid cores and how he is waiting for the creation to rise. During the speech, Raven is found standing behind them with Shadow remaining silent and glaring at them, then leaving without saying a word. Raven goes outside and says he feels like he’s been fighting forever. He looks at the stars saying how they bring him no comfort. At the next battle, one of them will die.

Through the night, Van continues to work, adding the boosters on the Liger. He says they are finished and hops out to speak with Irvine and Thomas. They say next time they’ll beat Raven, and with the special troop zoids, he wont stand a chance. They have everything ready, they just need Raven to show up. Thomas announces that the guardian force will never give up, causing him and Irvine to get into an argument over the GF (-_-) Van tries to calm them down and they both yell at him as well.

Next we see Fiona having a nightmare about the Deathsaurer and the unknown new Zoid. She wakes up and quickly gets dressed as Moonbay wakes up, wondering if she ever sleeps. Fiona starts to do research on the computer saying time is running out. Meanwhile, Thomas runs into Moonbay saying she is up early and saying how members of the GF never sleep. They find Fiona working away at the computer when she suddenly claims to have found it and runs out. She looks around for Van but all she finds is a sleepy Irvine who says Van is just testing the shield liger. She runs off into a Reddler type Zoid, as Thomas and Moonbay watch, both agreeing to follow her. Also watching her is Raven and Shadow who are less than a mile from the base…

Van comes back to the base only to find Fiona is gone and the Geno breaker has arrived. Fiona is off on her own lil escapade following a zoid core signal. Moonbay and Thomas finally catch up to her. She alerts them this is the strongest core ever and the 3 start to get a bit nervous. That’s when Hiltz decides to show himself, he tells them the end of the world is near. During his speech Raven and Van begin their battle. Hiltz finally reveals his creation, the Death Stinger, a zoid with a heat signature as high as the sun’s heat. Thomas attacks it with the Megalow Max, but to no avail as the Death Stinger is unharmed.

Raven is fighting a losing battle Vs. Van, Irvine, and the guardian force as he realizes Shadow is losing energy, he’s already fought for a minute.

Meanwhile, Hiltz tells the group about the ancient zoidian race and the birth of the Death Stinger. He then commands the creation to show the power of destruction and fires a huge particle gun, missing the 3 but aiming for Van and Raven, who are at least 5 miles away. Van easily gets away but the Geno Breaker is caught too close to the blast as Raven calls out for Shadow in fear.

Hiltz takes his leave as Moonbay wonders why he missed. Thomas says they may have been another targer and Fiona instinctively thinks of Van. But it was in fact the Geno Breaker, which was now barely limping away from the battle area. It comes to halt as the hatch open and Raven falls out limply. Shadow is ejected from the Geno Breaker, who is a very bright red color. Raven runs over looking scared when suddenly the Organoid turns into stone before his eyes. Raven looks very worried and hugs the Organoid’s calling his name. A single tear falls from Raven’s cheek onto Shadow’s shoulder as he screams ‘Shadow’ one last time in defeat.
