The Devil of the SeaEpisode kindly written by Karol.....pictures prepared by Julie. _______________________________
The next scene cuts to Van, Fiona, and Zeke on a Gustav carrying the Blade Liger through the water like a ferry. The thought of Raven escaping with his Geno Saurer is worrying Van. He wants to sharpen his skills desperately. They are on a journey to Lumir (don't know how to spell it) Island, and they have finally arrived. Dr. D summoned them to this Island so they felt it must have been very important. Van gets angry when he sees Dr. D frolicking on the beach with several bikini clad women. This is no time to take a vacation! Some of the girls push him in the water. Eventually, Van lightens up and enjoys himself. Dr. D wanted to give Van's mind a rest.
Later that day Fiona finds herself lost on the ocean cliff. Van and Zeke were looking for her and stumble into Dr. D in a cave. Dr. D leads them into an operations room. It seems that Dr. D is preparing to study the Land of the Dead, which is actually an Ancient Zoidian City. Seems the bikini girls were scientists taking a needed break. Back to Fiona....she sits on a rock and waits for Van. Ryss appears and tells Fiona that her name means the end of everything on Zi. She shows Fiona the devastating future, and suddenly ancient Zoidian zombies with Shotguns and pitch forks surround her.
Van finds a semi-conscious Fiona after hearing her scream. Suddenly, he sees a Double Sworder in the forest. Zeke fuses with the Blade Liger, and Van shoots down the Double Sworder knowing Ryss is up to her on tricks. Surprisingly, the Double Sworder gets destroyed and Specula the blue organoid bails out into the water. It seems the Double Sworder was bait and led Van onto a pier/dock. Ryss smirks and fires torpedoes to destroy the pier sending the Blade Liger into the water. Now the Blade Liger has two problems: three minutes of oxygen and a disadvantage in underwater combat. Ryss gets van in some hot soup by hitting him with torpedoes and hitting him with the Hammerhead's tail. A Hammerhead! Van can't even use his boosters. The Hammerhead tries to push the Blade Liger into a whirlpool in order to for it to get sucked to the bottom.
When Van somewhat gives up, Torpedoes out of nowhere hit the Hammerhead. It's Dr. D! He has a red Sinker and encourages Van to not give up. Van finally wises up and makes a plan to use his boosters in the whirlpool to gain speed and then at the right moment fire straight out of the whirlpool going up. Ryss believes this is too easy but starts to scream when Van's plan works and uses his Blades to cut the Hammer Head into two pieces. Per Fiona's request, Van dives into the water to rescue Ryss. She's about to faint and sees an image of Nikolo as Van approaches. When she is put on land, Specula grabs her and takes her to a Red Whale King where Hiltz is waiting.
After the incident, Dr. D, Van, and Fiona have little time to study the ruins. (Here's the creepy part: On the floor is a three broken piece inscription of a scorpion. It is obviously non other than a warning from the Ancient Zoidians of the Death Stinger. They don't tell you this, its just my observation of the picture they show of it.) Finally, its time to leave. The time for studying has run out and the Zoidian City returns to its dormant state underwater. (Here's what's even creepier. They show you another inscription of Fiona, wrapped in an organoids wires.) Now it returns to the red crystal of the Geno Saurer. It shows Shadow holding the Zoid Core and it seems that there is something close to happening. Then Raven says, "Welcome to the Gateway. The Gateway to Hell." (Note from Julie) I must reiterate...many thanks to Karol. |
