The Capital Ablaze_______________________________ A/N: Even though they haven’t been “revealed” at this point, I am going to call Rosso and Viola by their actual names because come on, how obvious is it that it is them? The two Storm Sworders are flying through the air. Inside, Rudolph thanks Viola for her help and that she’s helped keep hope alive for the people of the Empire. Viola points out that Rudolph should be thanking Rosso, since it was his idea and she was just going a long with it. Rudolph quickly replies that he would also like to thank Rosso. About five Redlers, led by Major Ralph, appear behind them. Rosso tells Viola to go on ahead while he deals with the Redlers. Viola tells Rudolph to hang on tight because the Storm Sworder is about to go a whole lot faster. Rudolph is happy that Rosso and Viola are still alive. Rosso fires a few missiles which home in on the Redlers and start taking them out. Rosso contacts Herman and tells him that it definitely looks like Prozen is trying to take control of the Empire. The Republican Forces, consisting of White and Blue Shield Ligers, White Command Wolves, Cannon Tortoises and Green Gordos are heading towards the Imperial Capital, Guygalos. O’Connell tells Herman that the Gojulas unit has been delayed but Herman confidently states that they’ll just have to do without them until they arrive. Meanwhile, the Gustav, Royal Zaber (been piloted by Homalap again) and the Command Wolf are standing next to each other in a line. Moonbay asks how they are supposed to escape? Homalap replies that the most important thing was the safety of Rudolph and after that, the rest of them are all expendable. Both Moonbay and Irvine are angered by this. On the Bridge, Lieutenant Harden is piloting a Iron Kong and there is a Dark Horn on either side of her. Suddenly someone starts firing at the Iron Kong, surprising Harden. It turns out to be the Republican Army, who advance over the hill. Homalap exclaims that the support force he requested from the Republic has finally arrived. Dr. D walks up to the Gustav and Moonbay opens up the cockpit, greeting him. She says that he saved them, but Irvine points out that they’re not saved yet. Herman orders everyone to attack, and everyone starts firing on the Rev Raptors, destroying them quickly. The two Dark Horns are destroyed as well.
A Soldier informs Harden that the Republican forces are overwhelming and suggests that they retreat. Harden calls him a coward and refuses to retreat. The Iron Kong is blown to bits. Just before she dies Harden screams “Continue to fight for Lord Prozen!!!”. Back at the coronation, Prozen is giving a speech about how Rudolph was assassinated by the Republic. He says that the Republic isn’t giving them enough time to properly mourn the death of Rudolph. Rosso continues to battle with Ralph. He managed to get behind him and use his swords to cut the Redler in two. Rosso tells Ralph that you are supposed to pilot a Zoid with your spirit and not rely on the Zoid's ability alone. Prozen continues his speech, telling the people that even now, Republicans have begun invading their territory. Prozen promises to fight until the Republic is defeated saying that those were the last words of their late Emperor Zeplin. The Death Saurer rises up beside him and Prozen jumps onto its left leg. He commands the Death Saurer to show the world its power. The Death Saurer powers up its Charged Particle Beam and fires it off into the distance, destroying a bunch of Shield Ligers instantly. Everyone is surprised that all those Shield Ligers could be wiped out so easily. Dr. D. (now inside the Gustav) figures that it must be the Death Saurer that is responsible. Most of the people look over into the distance with great nervousness, clearly not wanting such a powerful weapon, though Prozen refuses to notice. Viola and Rudolph appear and land in front of Prozen. Rudolph asks him to stop what he is doing. Prozen points out that Rudolph is too late to stop him and as long as he has the Imperial Ring, he is the Emperor. Rudolph jumps out of the Storm Sworder. Rudolph says that its not important anymore and that his people do not want such a powerful weapon. He asks Prozen to stop involving them in his meaningless wars. Prozen says that the Empire belongs to him, and he’ll do what he wants. The Death Saurer starts walking forward, causing all the people to run in panic.
The Imperial Army, led by Colonel Schuboltz in his Iron Kong appear behind the Death Saurer. Schuboltz is disgusted at Prozen’s actions claiming that there is no honor in what Prozen is doing and that he is only doing it for his own desires and not for the good of the Empire. As the Death Saurer shoots some spikes from its tail, which hit most of the Imperial Army, Prozen points out that power is everything and that since he has the most power, he should be able to rule. The Storm Sworders take off into the sky as Schuboltz realizes that it is futile to try and reason with Prozen. The Death Saurer fires it Charged Particle Cannon, needlessly destroying buildings. Prozen just looks on; laughing at the destruction. The Storm Sworders fly behind the Death Saurer, hitting it with their missiles but they have absolutely no effect! Prozen says that ordinary weapons don’t work against the Death Saurer. Then the Death Saurer fires some shots at the Storm Sworders, hitting both of them and forcing them to fall back. It continues using its Charged Particle Cannon as the Republicans come in to join the battle. Herman orders a barrage on the Death Saurer. The Canon Tortoises let out a ferocious barrage, but the Death Saurer is unharmed. It fires its own barrage at the Republicans. Moonbay fears for the worst. But wait! Just as they are going to get hit, the Blade Liger leaps over the Gustav and uses its shield to block the attack. Van quickly goes to battle the Death Saurer, much to Prozen’s surprise who figures out that Raven must have failed in defeating Van.
The Blade Liger tries to charge at the Death Saurer but the Death Saurer simply knocks it back with its tail. Prozen reveals that he has seen Van’s moves before; they are the same as his father’s. He also reveals that he was the one that killed Van’s father. Prozen explains that he received a message about a black Organoid and sent in the third armour division to retrieve it, which Van’s father fought bravely against. Prozen claims that soon the entire planet will be under his control. Van refuses to give up. Fiona tells Van that he cannot lose to Prozen. Irvine takes advantage of the fact that Prozen is distracted and fires on the Death Saurer. Herman and Rudolph also vow to stay by Van and fight with him till the end. Van appreciates everyone’s help. Fiona thinks that Van somehow manages to bring hope to everyone. Prozen is annoyed that they are continuing to fight and fires some more spikes at them, forcing them all to scatter. The Death Saurer fires another Charged Particle Cannon; wiping out some more Shield Ligers. Herman says that they’ll need at least ten times their current fire power if they even hope to defeat it. Van asks how Prozen is controlling the Death, Saurer but Fiona points out that it is actually the other way around: Prozen is been controlled by the Death Saurer. Dr. D reminds everyone out that the Death Saurer seems to have no weaknesses they can use and, despite the armour been incomplete, it is much tougher then that of the Gustav. Moonbay wonders what they can do? Dr. D suggests that if they destroy the Zoid Core then the Death Saurer will be destroyed. Moonbay asks where the Zoid Core is? Dr. D points to a section of the Death Saurer and says that that section has more armour then necessary, so if the Core was going to be anywhere, then it would be there. He, also, points out that they need a fast Zoid which happens to have a blade. The only Zoid they currently have available to them, that can defeat the Death Saurer is Van’s Blade Liger. Van prepares to defeat it. Dr. D reminds him that the Death Saurer is much stronger then the Geno Saurer. Not only can it freely change the Charged Particle Cannon’s direction, but it can also fire numerous times in succession. Dr. D warns Van to be careful.
Fiona points out that if the fan on the back of the Death Saurer was somehow stopped, then the Death Saurer wouldn’t be able to fire its Charged Particle Cannon. Rosso and Viola, who have returned to the battle, offer to take out the fan but they need someone to keep the Death Saurer from moving for about five seconds. Irvine confidently says that he should be able to stop the Death Saurer from moving for five seconds but Herman points out that the Command Wolf wouldn’t stand a chance and that Irvine should pilot one of the two Gojulas’ which have just arrived (pretty convenient timing, wouldn’t you say…) (Herman pilots the other) Rudolph offers support fire. O’Connell orders everyone to attack the Death Saurer in the hope that they can keep it from firing its Charged Particle Cannon. Not wanting the Republican to get all the glory, Schuboltz orders the Imperial Army to attack and the Death Saurer is being attacked from both sides. The Gojulus’ advance on the Death Saurer as Herman tells Irvine to concentrate on the Death Saurer’s right leg. Prozen confidently stares down the Gojulus, claiming that they stand no chance against the Death Saurer. Irvine berates Rudolph because he is following too closely behind. He was only supposed to provide support fire but firmly states that it is his empire and that he wants to do whatever he can to protect it. Herman tells Irvine that he is looking sloppy but Irvine sarcastically asks Herman how well he could pilot with a Royal Zaber Fang on his tail.
The Death Saurer tries to fire missiles from the missile launcher’s on its tail but the Imperial Army fires upon them, preventing the Death Saurer from firing. The Gojulus’ ram into the Death Saurer but the Death Saurer shoots at them with its chest mountain cannon, easily destroying both the Gojulas. Schuboltz quickly heads for the Death Saurer, jamming its fist into its leg and ripping the fist free from the Iron Kong. This prevents the Death Saurer from moving. Viola charges in and uses the “Triple Sword Missiles” and fires them at the Intake Fan but the Death Saurer uses its tail to knock them away and knock down Viola’s Storm Sworder in the process. However, Rosso comes in from behind Viola and fires his own missiles at the intake fan. Due to the sneak attack, Rosso is successful in stopping the fan. The Death Saurer is unable to fire its Charged Particle Cannon. Rosso and Viola take off their helmets and Rosso makes sure she is okay. To which she replies that she is. Van makes sure Fiona and Zeke are ready before charging in for the Death Saurer, activating the boosters in the process. He mobilizes the blades, and they start to glow. Prozen is angry and asks the Death Saurer if it is going to allow itself to get defeated and that it is supposed to be the most powerful Zoid in all of Zi. The Death Saurer roars as the fan starts moving and the missiles are starting to bend from the force of the moving fan.
The Blade Liger activates its shield just as the Death Saurer’s Intake Fan becomes free and starts spinning normally. Prozen laughs evilly as the Death Saurer charges up its Charged Particle Cannon. Irvine tells Van not to charge, but Van doesn’t listen and leaps into the air just as the Death Saurer fires the charged Particle Cannon which hits the Blade Liger dead on. Rudolph fears the worst about Van but he is okay (naturally…). Just like with the Geno Saurer, the blades on the Blade Liger send out electron impulse vibrations which neutralize the Charged Particle. Moonbay points out that it looks like the Blade Liger is cutting through the Charged Particle Beam. Everyone realizes that they have won as the Death Saurer starts to power down. Van goes straight through the Death Saurer causing it to blow up, apparently taking Prozen with it. (Key Word: apparently). A little while later, Rudolph is having his coronation. He passes by various people from the Republic and Imperial Army before realizing that Van, Fiona and Zeke aren’t present. He asks Moonbay and Irvine where they are, and Irvine points out that they still have Zoid Eve to find. Fiona asks if it was okay that they skipped the coronation? Van replies that he is not the type that likes all that “fancy stuff”. The Blade Liger runs off into the sunset. The End. Many Thanks, Flare Phoenix! |
