Moonbay, Irvine, Rudolph and Prime Minister Homalef are trying to get to the coronation before Prozen is crowned the emperor, but they’ve been held back by several Rev Raptors. The Command Wolf and the Gustav, along with a few Molgas and Heldigunners are trying to blast through the line of Rev Raptors. Moonbay confidently says they do not need the Republican Army to help them out and says that once Van returns, they’ll be able to handle this on their own. Irvine warns her to be careful, but Moonbay tells him not to be so pessimistic. They continue firing and start to knock off the Rev Raptors.

Meanwhile, the Blade Liger and the Geno Saurer are staring each other down. Van comments that Fiona finally got her memory back and Fiona is surprised that Van actually heard her back at the ruins. Fiona says it was pretty frightening, but Van complements her on it before turning his attention to Raven. Raven “suggests” that Van leave Fiona out of this fight since Prozen has expressed an interest in her, but Van quickly refuses, much to the appreciation of Fiona. Raven accepts this and simply says that Prozen will just have to do without Fiona. He calls on Shadow who quickly enters into the Geno Saurer.

Van starts the battle by charging at Raven and firing at the Geno Saurer with the pulse lasers on his blades, but the Geno Saurer jumps into the air to avoid the shots. Once landing, it fires a few of its own pulse lasers at the Blade Liger, but the Blader Liger leaps over them to avoid them. The Geno Saurer tries to hit the Blade Liger with its tail, but the Blade Liger dodges it. The Geno Saurer grabs onto the Blade Liger’s right leg with its extendable claw and starts dragging it closer, eventually sending it crashing against the side of a cliff.

Van comments that he can’t get in close to the Geno Saurer, but Fiona points out that he has to otherwise he cannot use the Blade Attack. Raven laughs and once again tries to grab the Blade Liger with the extendable claw, but it dodges and starts heading for the Geno Saurer, extending out both its blades. The Geno Saurer fires its Pulse Lasers at the Blade Liger. The Blade Liger uses its boosters to dodge them. Just as the Blade Liger is about to hit, the Geno Saurer grabs onto the left blade with its left claw, surprising Van. Fiona asks if they’ll make it, and Raven replies no. The Geno Saurer picks up the Blade Liger by its blade and throws it back a few feet. Raven comments that Van has improved since they last fought but mentions that he is still no match for him. The Geno Saurer’s claw retracts, and it starts heading for the Blade Liger.

Van admits that Raven just might be too strong for him and decides to use one of Irvine’s maneuvers. The Blade Liger leaps over the Geno Saurer and starts running away from it. Van tells Raven that he is using Irvine’s “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen” strategy. Raven comments that Van is a coward. Van comments that helping Rudolph is more important then fighting him. Suddenly a bunch of Red Horns appear before Van. Van comments that they've been ambushed. Raven figures that Prozen sent them to help him, which angers him greatly. The foot locks for the Geno Saurer fold down and the tail fins open up. The Geno Saurer opens it mouth and the gun barrel extends out. Van continues running towards the Red Horns and Fiona warns him that Raven is preparing the Charged Particle Gun to fire at them. Raven fires. He misses the Blade Liger and hits all the Red Horns, eliminating them instantly and causing a wall of fire, blocking the Blade Liger’s escape route. Raven comments that he destroyed them so he could fight Van alone.

Back at the palace, a soldier explains to Lieutenant Harden that if they continue with their current plan, they’ll be putting their own men in danger. However, if they destroy the bridge first, they can trap the “rebels” in and destroy them at their own pace. Harden disagrees with this and comments that they must be destroyed before Prozen’s coronation, despite how many of their own men get killed as a result. The soldier tries to resist, but Harden quickly asserts her authority, ordering the soldier to continue with the current plan.

The two sides continue exchanging fire. Irvine suggests that they should start moving forward, but Moonbay points out that that would mean going straight through the enemy’s front line. Irvine points out that the best strategy for dealing with a small number of enemies is to destroy all escape routes and surround the enemies. Irvine comments that their opponents don’t know what they’re doing since they’re only firing from the bridge. Moonbay asks what they’re doing and Irvine figures that they’re just trying to kill Rudolph despite how many troops are sacrificed in the process. Moonbay asks how charging at them will help? Irvine points out that they don’t have many options left.

Raven and Van’s battle continues with both Zoids firing shots at each other (The Blade Liger still has its blades extended). Once again the Geno Saurer manages to grab onto the Blade liger’s blade but this time, it snaps it off. Van wonders what he should do, and Fiona suggests that Van move back and set up his shield. Van agrees and the Blade Liger jumps back a bit, before activating its shield. Raven fires a few blasts from the Pulse Laser Cannons, but they bounce off the shield. Raven continues firing, and Van comments that the shield won’t hold up for much longer. Fiona points out that all the systems are low on energy due to all the fighting that occurred the day before. It isn't long before the shield deactivates, and the Blade Liger starts taking the hits. The legs of the Blade Liger give out, causing it to collapse to the ground. The Geno Saurer starts walking towards the fallen Blade Liger. Raven comments that he could finish Van off now but says he would rather have some fun first. The Geno Saurer stomps on the Blade Liger then kicks it into the air, causing it to do a flip and land on the ground a few feet back. The force caused the cockpit to open ejecting a screaming Fiona. Zeke emerges from the Blade Liger and collapses. The leg fins on the damaged Blade Liger release steam as if taking its last breathes. Raven comments that Fiona wouldn’t have gotten hurt if Van had handed her over like he had asked earlier and also comments that Zeke doesn’t have enough power left to stay fused with the Blade Liger. Fiona walks over to Zeke and checks him out, while Van desperately tries to get the Blade Liger moving. Raven mocks Van, saying he's useless without his organoid.

Meanwhile, the gang are still stuck in the same position due to the oncoming Rev Raptors. Moonbay asks the Prime Minister whether there is a secret passage or underground tunnel. Homalef regretfully says there isn’t. He also mentions that since the Sway Bridge has collapsed, the only way they’ll get to the coronation is through the Enay Bridge. Irvine once again suggests going straight through the Rev Raptors, but Homalef points out that they’re outnumbered twenty to one. Irvine comments that the Prime Minister shouldn’t be afraid of a challenge. Homalef, however, is worried about the safety of Rudolph. Rudolph agrees with Irvine’s plan, and Homalef reluctantly accepts. He gives Rudolph the authority to pilot the Royal Zaber. Moonbay and Irvine are surprised that the Prime Minister had a zoid like that without telling them.

Back at the battle, Raven continues to mock Van, saying that he is helpless without an organoid, suggesting that Van give up. Van says it’s all over but suddenly, a vision of Irvine appears. Irvine wonders if Van is really going to give up that easily. Rudolph appears beside Irvine, pointing out that Van has saved him before and that he can do it again. Moonbay appears next to Rudolph, commenting that what she liked best about Van was his determination to succeed despite the odds. Van wonders how they’re all appearing before him. Those three disappear and are replaced by Rob Herman, who tells Van that he has the power to create miracles, pointing out that everyone has their weaknesses and that if Van looks hard enough, he’ll be able to find the Geno Saurers. Herman disappears and Doctor D. appears before Van, telling him that the weakness to any power is the power itself and there lies the answer. Van understands what Dr. D means.

The Geno Saurer closes in on the Blade Liger. Raven calls Van weak but Van points out that he doesn’t care what Raven thinks and that if Raven loses, that just means that he is weaker. Van moves the controls and powers starts coming back to the Liger, surprising Fiona. The cockpit closes and the Blade Liger stands back up. Raven figures Van is just bluffing but Van reassures that he isn’t. The fins on the Blade Liger’s legs close back up and the Blade Liger lets out a loud roar. Van is more determined than ever to defeat Raven.

At the coronation site, numerous soldiers are working on the frame of a large picture of Rudolph. The picture is in black and white, since Rudolph has been declared deceased. Prozen is walking around, wondering about Zoid Eve and commenting that it is more powerful then the Death Saurer. If he could acquire that power, he could rule all of the universe. Two of the other ministers approach Prozen, asking if the rumors that Homalef has started a rebellion is true. Prozen regretfully says its true. The taller minister suggest that they should postpone the coronation but Prozen refuses, pointing out that if they postpone, it just leaves more time for Homalef to gain support. The shorter minister can’t believe that Homalef would do something like this and suggests talking with him to find out whether Rudolph is alive or if he is really using an imposter. Prozen points out they still have the entire Imperial Army to protect them before excusing himself.

Not too far off, the Geno Saurer is firing its Pulse Laser Cannons. The Blade Liger expertly leaps over all the blasts, surprising Raven who believes that it shouldn’t be able to move that fast without an organoid. The Blade Liger moves in and manages to slice off the Pulse Laser Cannon with its remaining blade. Raven comments that Van was suppose to be defeated, but Van responds that Raven underestimated him. Raven is left with no other option and starts powering up the Charged Particle Gun. While it is setting up, Van determines that the recoil is so great that the Geno Saurer would topple over unless it has a fixed base, meaning that while it is firing, it cannot turn around. All Van needs to do is get behind it. Van starts up the booster as Raven fires the Charged Particle Cannon. The Blade Liger leaps to the side and bounces off the cliff edge, landing behind the Geno Saurer. Raven forces the Geno Saurer to turn around, causing damage to its leg. Van is surprised that the Geno Saurer could even turn around at all. The blade is hit by the blast but somehow manages to survive, cutting off the gun on the Geno Saurer’s head. The Geno Saurer fires the Charged Particle Cannon again, destroying the Blade Liger’s booster and damaging a bit of its head. The Geno Saurer grabs onto the Blade Liger’s leg with its extendable claw and once again starts dragging it closer towards it. Van says to let go! Raven comments that Van isn’t weak, but he is still going to win.

The soldiers are telling Harden that their opponent’s had forces of 50 Zoids, but they managed to reduce that number by half. Harden comments that winning should be easy and orders the soldiers to move the main force forward. Irvine and Moonbay are blasting though the Rev Raptors. Homalef asks them to slow down, and Irvine points out that he should be able to easily keep up. Homalef admits he can’t, because they’re in a battlefield. Rudolph asks him to switch the control to the back so he can pilot it. Rudolph starts piloting the Zaber and says that Van taught him everything he knows. Irvine is impressed and Moonbay comments that the Zaber seems to like Rudolph better. The three Zoids continue blasting through. Irvine, Moonbay and Homalef start to think its hopeless but Rudolph manages to encourage them to keep fighting.

The Geno Saurer continues pulling the Blade Liger in. Raven states that he is going to use the Charged Particle Cannon since he has none of his other weapons. Van realizes that even though it got damaged, he still has one more blade left. He wonders whether that will be enough. The Geno Saurer pulls the Blade Liger into point blank range and starts powering up the Charged Particle Cannon. Van points out that if Raven fires from that close, he’ll be killed as well, but Raven doesn’t care.

Zeke finally wakes up and Fiona says Van needs some help. Zeke gets up and opens his chest. Fiona gets into Zeke and the two absorb into the Blade Liger. Fiona appears before Van as a spirit, telling him that she will never leave his side. She also says that he has the gift of giving hope to others and that he mustn’t lose this fight since everyone is waiting and depending on him. Van comments that he can feel a new power, transforming and rebuilding the Blade Liger. The Blade Liger is restored to normal but Raven believes that the Blade Liger fusing with the damaged Zeke won’t help Van. Van figures that the blades can survive the Charged Particle Cannon so he should focus his shield power there. Raven fires the Charged Particle Cannon. Van activates his shield and starts cutting through the Charged Particle Blast, using the blade to pierce the gun barrel of the Geno Saurer. The Blade Liger leaps back just as the Geno Saurer explodes and is destroyed. Van asks if Fiona did that with some Ancient Zoidian power but Fiona tells him that it was the power inside Van that Zeke and the Blade Liger responded to.

Irvine, Moonbay, Homalef and Rudolph hear the coronation starting, and Rudolph thanks them for trying. He says that it’s not their fault they didn’t make it on time. Just then, Rosso and Viola appear in their Storm Sworders, telling Rudolph and the others to never give up. They give their usual speech and everyone is surprised but glad to see them. Viola points out they have a coronation to attend, and Rudolph excitedly exclaims “alright”.
