Run, Wolf!_______________________________ As the gang continues their journey, they stop through an old town. To keep undercover, they disguise the Crown Prince Rudolph as a little girl. A shop owner is heard yelling "STOP!" at a boy whose stolen some food. Van catches the young lad. The boy is allowed to go free after Van pays for the goods. Continuing their journey, we find Irvine experiencing a flashback where he is holding a young, very ill, girl's hand whom he calls "sis". Moments later, Moonbay and Irvine are being chased by Imperial soldiers who think they're bandits. They make their escape inside of a church, but not before Irvine gets shot in the leg. A young women points a shotgun at their heads. Once again, they are mis-identified as the bandits who have stolen a very precious vaccine. Luckily, the reverand appears with Van and the others and tells Sister Alena to put the gun away. The scene switches to a room full of children in bed suffering from a very high fever. The boy who earlier stole the fruit attempts to give it to his sister while in the back, Irvine recalls doing the same and identifies their sickness. Irvine once again recalls a past scene when one of the children takes a turn for the worse. Alena reveals that the vaccine was stolen when a group of bandits intercepted the shipment. Immediately, Irvine takes a course of action to retrieve it. As Irvine and Van head to the bandits location, Irvine recalls his sister's death from that very disease. Once they arrive at the bandit's hideout (a mountain cave), Irvine discusses their plan. Van will charge through the front while Irvine makes his way around back. Irvine explains that Van will be the only one fighting to prevent the bandits from panicking and destroying their own base which could lead to the loss of the vaccine. Back at the church Moonbay and the others are taking care of the children. Watching Rudolph help, Alena tells him not to get too near the ill children. Noticing his feistyness, she wonders what his name is. Moonbay quickly announces Ramona and tells her not to worry because of his strong immune system. Alena says she could never forgive herself if they caught the sickness. Rudolph says they'll be fine, and Fiona agrees trusting that Van will get the vaccine. Moonbay adds that the the idea of retrieving the medicine was Irvine's. From atop of the base, Irvine appears in his Command Wolf ready to go down into the base. Earlier, Irvine asked Van to give him 15 min. before attacking the base. Questioning the delay of attack being 15 min., cannon fire from the Shield Liger brings a smile to Irvine's face. Rev Raptors appear and Van easily takes care of them. In the meantime, Irvine has retrieved the medicine. After the Rev Rapters are defeated, reinforcements are called and out come Rev Raptors as well as Red Horns. Once again, Van takes care of them with his blade and shield. Unfortunately, the bandits aren't held up long enough and they notice Irvine escaping with the vaccine. Luckily, Van rescues Irvine from falling rocks caused by a Red Horn missile. Irvine escapes while the Shield Liger goes for the last Red Horn. An unexpected rev Rapter takes a slash at Irvine's Command Wolf damaging it, but not enough to prevent Irvine from destroying it with his cannons. Irvine ditches his damaged Zoid and pushes through the desert on foot desperate to get the sick children their vaccine. If only he could make it in time to save these kids, then they wouldn't have to perish as his sister did. Sadly, his injured leg has given out on him. Before fully giving up, Van and the Liger appear to take them back to town. The next day, the kids are fully healed and wave goodbye to our heros. On another part of the Planet Zi, Helic Gordos's pursue Raven's Genosaur. A simple blast by his Charged Particle Cannon, defeats the Gordos's in one blow. |
