We all know the beginning.

Kiyo was sitting up in his bed, sweating and obviously wrestling with something in his head. 

“So let me get this straight…” Kiyo said in his mind.

“You can’t bring out the full potential of the Liger 0?”

‘Correct Sherlock!’  The voice of the West Wind said in his head.

‘I want you to pilot the Xenocide the next time it emerges.’

“All right…but I have a feeling that next time will be the last time,” Kiyo said.

‘Good.  I’ll contact you to direct you.  Be careful, the Zyrphos X had already gained full control over Adrian’s body.’

“I sorta figured that out when he killed just about every person in the backdraft group.”

‘Well, that’s just the start of what he’ll do.’

Kiyo finally put his mind at rest but still couldn’t go to sleep.

He put on a white shirt and khaki shorts and hopped inside the Liger 0.

It mobilized and started running.

“So what do you think I should do?” Kiyo asked the Liger.

It roared meaning ‘You should take advantage of the fact that someone finally cares about you, you shouldn’t just go on a suicide mission and shatter Leena’

“Yeah?  I’m not used to anyone even knowing who I am…what makes you think that Leena cares about me?”

The Liger 0 roared again, softer now, ‘I can sense it.  The only reason that you beat Bit is because of her.  Besides, you can’t actually think that she doesn’t like you,’

“Well, whatever…” Kiyo said.

He just ran around for another three hours then returned to the Tauros base.

He docked the Liger 0 then fell asleep on the couch watching the TV.

Kiyo opened his eyes in the morning.

Leena was sitting on his legs and Jamie was sitting next to her.

“GET OFF ME!” Kiyo hollered.

He noticed that Leena had a chocolate cream donut in her hand.

“IS THAT MY DONUT?!?!?” he screamed.

“Maybe, maybe not,” Leena replied.

Then Kiyo pulled something out of his pocket.

It was a giant cookie.

“THAT’S MY COOKIE!!!” Leena yelled.

A sweat bead rolled down the back of Jamie’s head as he watched the two argue.

Leena was chasing Kiyo down the hall.

Every time she threatened him, Kiyo took a bite of Leena’s cookie.

Every time he took a bite of her cookie, Leena took a bite of Kiyo’s donut.

Finally, Kiyo put a hand up to stop Leena.

She stopped.

“And now I disappear!” Kiyo said.

He grabbed something in his pocket, took a step back, and chucked what was in his hand at the ground.

A cloud of smoke filled the hall and when it cleared, Kiyo was gone.

Leena blinked a couple of times, then said, “GET BACK HERE YA COWARD!”

She searched for an hour or two to see where he went, then gave up and walked into the kitchen.

There was Kiyo, eating bacon and sitting in a chair playing Super Smash Bros. Melee.

He blinked at her a couple of times then ran away.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Leena laughed at how quickly he ran.

“WOW!  Look at my new Gojulas model!” Dr. Tauros said playing with his new model.

“Doc!  Where’d you get the money for another one!” Jamie said.

“WAIT A MINUTE!  DID YOU PULL THE MONEY OUT OF OUR SALARIES?!?!”

“No!  I just used the money I found in that backdraft guy’s pocket,” Dr. Tauros replied.

“OH YEAH!  We totally forgot about him!” Jamie said.

He walked over to the closet and opened the door.

Sure enough, the brown haired guy popped out, still gagged.

Jamie untied him and kicked him out of the Tauros base.

“Why’d ya do that?” Dr. Tauros said, “We could have got more money off him!”

“Because since the backdraft is gone, he can’t bother us any more.”

Everyone was on the Hover Cargo ready for the battle royale that they were going to be in.

“The area within a 50 mile radius is now a zoid battlefield.  Only competitors and authorized personnel have entry.  WARNING!  THIS ZONE IS RESTRICTED!  Area scanned, battle mode set up!  The Blitz team; the Fluegal team; the Champ team; and the Bomber team, battle mode 0988 (made that up for battle royale unlimited arsenals) Ready…FIGHT!”

“ULTIMATE PLASMA STRIKE!” Kiyo yelled.

He took out one of the Pteras in the sky and proceeded towards Brad.

“ROYAL PYRO SLASH!” Bit yelled, slashing at Harry.

Harry’s brand new gun broke off and he had a system freeze.

Naomi had taken out Sebastian and aimed at Leena.

“WILD WEASEL UNIT TOTAL ASSAULT!” Leena hollered.

Her ammo took out the remaining Pteras.

Leon was coming hard at Bit.

Leena took out Benjamin with some more ammo.

“ULTIMATE PLASMA STRIKE!” Kiyo said, giving Brad some serious damage.

“STRIKE LASER CLAW!” Brad yelled back, taking some metal off then Liger 0’s back.

Kiyo jumped high in the air and landed on the Shadow Fox, doing extreme damage.

Schneider and the Red Blade Liger were colliding blows.

“SEVEN BLADE ATTACK!” Bit yelled.

Leon was taken down.

The only person left to worry about was Naomi.

A bullet took Leena out.

“DAMN YOU NAOMI!” Leena yelled in anger.

Bit and Kiyo rushed at Naomi.

Just as they were about to slash her up, she jetted upwards.

Bit was taken out, but Kiyo barely survived.

Naomi fired her long range rifle at Kiyo but he was barely dodging it.

“DOWN YOU GO!” Kiyo yelled.

Just as he took Naomi down, the Shadow Fox, trashed but not down, fired its laser Vulcan gun and took Kiyo out.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Dr. Tauros wailed.

“THIS IS COMING OUT OF YOUR SALARY!” he yelled at Kiyo.

“Heh heh…sorry?” Kiyo replied.

“SORRY’S NOT ENOUGH!”

“I’ll buy you four new models?” Kiyo tried again.

“Well since you put it that way…” Dr. Tauros exclaimed.

Kiyo regretted those words.

“MAN!  I spent my whole savings on those models!”

“Ya should’ve known better than to tell my dad that you’ll buy him a model,” Leena said.

“I still can’t believe that you did that!” Bit said.

Kiyo just sat down on his bed and thought again.

He was used to this since he’d been doing it every day.

‘Nice battle Mr. Sunshine!’ the voice in Kiyo’s head said.

“Shut up!  At least I have a body!”

‘Soooooorry Mr. PMS!’

“Why are you such a dork!  I mean, that opening statement of yours made me look like on of those gay knights from a fairy tale!”

‘Sorry if I can’t talk hip hop like you but it’s the way I was raised!’

“Whatever Mr. Corny!”

Kiyo got up and headed for the hanger.

He started working on the Liger 0 and thought.

He finally got in the cockpit and mobilized the Liger 0.

“Something big is going to happen,” Kiyo said, frowning, “I can just feel it.”

The Liger 0 roared in agreement.

Just like the Liger 0, Kiyo’s thoughts were all over the place.

When he finally returned, something was happening.

Kiyo walked inside.

Some people were digging up the floor in an empty part of the hanger.

“What’s going on?” Kiyo asked.

“Yeah Doc, what is going on?” Bit said.

He and Jamie walked up behind Kiyo.

“I’m putting in a pool with your salaries!” Dr. Tauros replied with glee.

Everyone had an empty look on their faces.

“But Doc…you can’t swim!” Bit said.

“WHAT?!?!” Dr. Tauros yelled, chasing Bit around with a sewage pipe.

Kiyo dropped to the floor stiff as a board with the same look on his face all the time.

“Uh…Kiyo?  Are you gonna get up?” Jamie asked.

Kiyo was still as stiff as a board.

“I wonder if he’s dead…” Jamie trailed off as Leena walked in the room.

“What’s with him?” she asked pointing at Kiyo.

“Your dad announced this new pool thing and he dropped as stiff as a board…probably because he’s broke,”

“Whatever,” Leena said.

Dr. Tauros finally returned and Bit, following about fifty meters behind, also returned with a huge bump on his head.

“Why isn’t Kiyo moving?” Dr. Tauros asked.

“He’s been like that since you drained his savings,” Jamie replied.

Dr. Tauros hit Kiyo with the pipe but it just cracked and broke apart.

Suddenly, Kiyo twitched.

“HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO MEEEEEEEE!” he yelled in agony.

Everyone sweat dropped.

Later that night, Kiyo was on the computer with Jamie standing behind him, Leena was chasing Bit for eating her food yelling “I AM LEENA HEARME ROAR!” every time she punched him and gave him a black bruise, Dr. Tauros was playing with his models, and Omiru was reading again.

“Let’s see, the password will be…fuzzymog!  There!  Now my secure account is COMPLETE!  NO MORE OF DOC HACKING INTO MY MONEY!” Kiyo said in triumph.

Dr. Tauros’s ear twitched at this comment.

“What did you say that password was?” he said heading towards the computer.

The computer beeped indicating that someone had e-mail.

“It’s for me!” Kiyo said as everyone jumped up to read it.

The e-mail read,

Your Liger 0 is very impressive!  But without its source of power it is nothing.  The end is soon!

Kiyo could have guessed who’d written it with a blindfold on.

‘Good thing no one knows what the power source is or your secret would be out!’ a voice said in Kiyo’s head.

“Shut up!” Kiyo yelled.

Everyone stared at him.

“Heh heh?” Kiyo said.

“What’s up with that?” Bit asked.

“Ahhhh…arguing with myself?” Kiyo replied desperately

“Whatever!” Bit said.

Kiyo sighed.

“Nice one!  You almost got me caught!” he hollered in his mind.

‘What that guy Bit said,’ the voice said.

“The Blitz team versus the Bombers team.  Ready…FIGHT!”

“Jamie whizzed passed one of the Pteras, destroying it in a sonic boom.

“GO JAMIE!” Kiyo cheered inside the Hover Cargo.

Leena fired at two Raynos, blanketing them in smoke, but missed most of the shots.

“Doc!  Gimme the Panzer!” Bit said.

“Liger 0 Panzer!” Kiyo said.

Dr. Tauros had taught him how to use the CAS system.

“Liger 0 Panzer CAS complete!”

“GOOOOOOO PANZER!” Bit said with enthusiasm.

The Panzer dropped from the Hover Cargo and stood completely still, unable to move.

“HYBRID CANNONS FIRE!” Bit hollered.

The two cannons took out the Raynos Leena was aiming at out.

Jamie and a Stormsworder were going head to head.

Omiru sighed at the sight of the Stormsworder.

Jamie whizzed around it, creating sonic booms and soon taking it out.

“The battle is over!  The battle is over!  The winner is…THE”

Suddenly, the judge was destroyed by a bullet.

“It’s that zoid!” Dr. Tauros said.

“I’m going to launch the Liger 0!” Kiyo said.

“Well Blitz team, we meet again!” Adrian said as he came over the inter com.

“ROYAL PYRO SLASH!” Bit yelled.

The Zyrphos X just threw the attack off.

“WILD WEASEL UNIT TOTAL ASSAULT!” Leena screeched.

The carpet of fire only made the ZX blink.

Jamie swooped vainly for a chance to knock the Ultimate X off guard.

“ULTIMATE PLASMA STRIKE!” Kiyo yelled as he slashed the ZX to the ground.

“WARP!!” Adrian yelled.

A claw on the ZX extended and grabbed the Gunsniper.

“LEENA!” Dr. Tauros shouted.

Just as the Green Liger 0 was about to thrash the ZX up, it warped into the sky.

A Whale King greeted it.

“Kiyo Sakima, if you want the girl to live, you’ll fight me!” Adrian said.

“WHERE?!?!” Kiyo said, not thinking it would be a trap.

“You know!” Adrian replied.

The Whale King swallowed the ZX.

“Why would he take Leena though?” Dr. Tauros asked that night.

‘You know!’ the voice in Kiyo’s head urged.

“It’s too early to say that I even like her!” Kiyo snapped back in his head.

“Maybe because she’s the only vulnerable one.  I mean she has nothing special like an Ultimate X or a subconscious that takes over,” Bit said, glancing at Kiyo and Jamie.

“ARE YOU IMPLYING THAT I’M A FREAK?!?!” Kiyo yelled.

“Ehhhhhh…NO!  NO!” Kiyo chased Bit down the hall, Jamie following, and both carrying lead bats.

Kiyo, yet again, lay awake in his bed.

This time, though, it was because of guilt.

It was his fault that Leena wasn’t at the Tauros base right now and he knew it.

Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore.

He woke Bit up.

“Hey Bit!” He whispered.

“Just a few more minutes mommy!” Bit groaned.

Kiyo punched him in the head.

“OWW!  Okay, okay I’m up!  What do you want?” Bit said, rubbing the lump on his head.

“I have a plan to get Leena back,” Kiyo replied.

“And it involves me how?” Bit asked.

“If you paint your Liger 0 green with peel off paint and go into battle, Adrian will think it’s me.

Meanwhile, I can get Leena back,” Kiyo said.

“I don’t even know where the battle is!” Bit said.

“It’s at the Katasa ruins.”

“Why there?”

“Because that’s where the ancient zoids of good and evil battled.”

“And you know that how?”

“To make a long story short, that west wind being is floating around in my head.  He told me.”

“What?”

“Just do it!  Tell Doc the plan.  I’m leaving now.  You’ll know when I’ll be back,” Kiyo said as he ran down the hall.
He jumped into the cockpit of his Liger 0.

The thought of giving up the basic armor ran through his mind, but Kiyo wouldn’t fight in anything but it.

Before he left, he sent an e-mail to Dr. Tauros explaining everything.  His mission to destroy the backdraft group, his instructor, his abnormal physical abilities, and Psych.

“Let’s go Liger!” Kiyo said.

The Liger 0 started running.

Kiyo knew where the Whale King would be.

He rushed to the Ominessa ruins.

The voice in his head told him that it would be there, and it was.

There, on the ground was a whale King.

Kiyo was able to sneak in.

There were no guards.

The whole place was empty and Kiyo didn’t want to search for Adrian.

He found that Adrian and his ally weren’t even there.

He continued searching until he found Leena.

She was asleep, tied to a chair and obviously drugged to reduce her strength.

Kiyo managed to untie her.

Leena groaned and opened her eyes.

“What are you doing here?” she asked.

“Saving your ass,” Kiyo said as he searched for her Gunsniper.  It was parked outside the Whale king.

“Come on before they come back!” Kiyo said harshly.

“I can barely move!” Leena defended herself.

“Trust a girl to say that!” Kiyo said back.

“Oh!  And you are?”

“A trained assassin!” Kiyo finished.

“You’re joking?!”

“No lie.  I was trained to…it’s all in the e-mail message that I sent your dad!”

The Whale King rocked.

Kiyo picked Leena up and ran inside a closet.

“What about our zoids?” Leena asked, starting to twitch.

“We’ll jump off when the time is right!” Kiyo replied.

The Whale King flew in the air and went forward.

The battle was in about half an hour.

Kiyo, still holding Leena since it was hard for her to walk, jumped off the Whale King and landed on the ground from about fifteen feet in the air.

The Whale King landed about fifty miles off in the Katasa ruins.

The Hover Cargo was about three hundred feet away. 

Kiyo and Leena sat on the Liger 0, Kiyo watching through binoculars and Leena trying to move.

“Mobilizing the Liger 0!” Bit said.

Sure enough, a green painted Liger 0 came out of the Hover Cargo.

“All right Kiyo!  Let’s finish this once and for all!” Adrian said over the radio link since Bit turned the inter com off.

The ZX and the Liger 0 rammed into each other.

“ROYAL PYRO SLASH!” Bit yelled.

He struck the ZX down.

Lucky for Bit, the radio link was off so Adrian couldn’t hear what he said.

The two zoids rolled on the ground for a long time, Bit damaging the ZX and the ZX damaging the Liger 0 more.

They slashed and slashed.

The ZX had the advantage first, then it was the Liger 0.

“ROYAL PYRO SLASH!” Bit yelled.

The ZX was struck back.

“CRIMSON!” Adrian yelled.

The ZX turned a crimson red and zoomed straight at the Liger 0.

It disappeared and reappeared behind the Liger 0.

A huge slash mark was on the Liger 0’s back.

“I’ll get you!” Bit yelled, “ROYAL PYRO SLASH!”

A dent was made in the ZX’s armor, but nothing serious.

“I have to admit, I didn’t think Bit would last this long,” Kiyo commented from afar.

“He is something,” Leena agreed.

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!” Bit yelled.

His intense strike only made Adrian flinch.

“GOODBYE!” Adrian yelled.

He fired a charged particle cannon at Bit.

The Liger 0 was barely able to save the two, but some of the peel of paint dissolved.

“YOU’RE NOT KIYO!” Adrian hollered.

“I figured he’d do something like this.” Adrian fired a charged particle cannon at the Whale King.

“YOU SAID YOU’D LET ME LIVE!” a man said over the inter com.

“I lied,” Adrian replied.

The Whale King exploded.

The ZX blasted the Liger 0 back.

Adrian turned the loud speaker on, “I know you’re out there Kiyo Sakima.  If you don’t fight me, I’LL DESTROY ZI!”

Adrian said.

He created some kind of black hole and entered.

“Well, I guess I’m off to commit suicide,” Kiyo said.

“NO!” Leena protested.

Kiyo pulled her close.

She blushed gasped at being this close to him.

“The fate of Zi is more important than my life.” He said.

He pushed her off the Liger 0 and closed the cockpit, running off into the distance.

Leena landed softly on the grass.

“WAIT!” she yelled, but Kiyo was already gone.

Leena got into her Gunsniper, the feeling back in her and headed for the Hover Cargo.

Kiyo rushed into the black hole.

“I’m sorry Leena…but I have to do this!” Kiyo said, partly to himself.

Kiyo was in a black 3-D area that had no floors or roof, yet, the Liger 0 was touching what seemed like a floor.

“CRIMSON!” Adrian yelled.

The Liger 0 dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the intense strike.

“ULTIMATE PLASMA STRIKE!” Kiyo yelled.

The attack did little damage to the ZX, now in what seemed like an adrenaline rush.

“When I’m done with you, I’ll kill your girlfriend first!” Adrian yelled.

“Up my ass!” Kiyo replied.

The Liger 0 flashed Golden.

The Liger 0 Xenocide emerged.

Kiyo emitted a golden light, but was still himself.

“GENOCIDE!” he hollered.

The attack knocked the ZX backwards.

“The Liger 0 Xenocide’s power is great, but not great enough!” Adrian said as he blasted a charged particle cannon that made the LX fly backwards.

Charged particle cannons were flying wildly about everywhere.

“HOMICIDE!” Kiyo said.

A small chunk of the ZX flew off, but it countered by shooting a part of the LX’s off.

The LX slashed the left sensor on the ZX, taking one screen in the cockpit out.

The ZX and LX grabbed each other and started rolling all over the place, slashing one another.

“Damn you…” Adrian said.

“Right back acha!” Kiyo replied.

The ZX fired all its ammo off at the Liger 0.

Every shot hit.

The Liger 0 went down.

“Damn it Liger!” Kiyo yelled.

The words ‘SUICIDE’ appeared on the screen.

“All right…”Kiyo said.

“Goodbye Leena,”

‘It’s the right thing to do’ the voice in Kiyo’s head said.

“SUICIDE!” Kiyo hollered.

A white explosion made the ZX and LX disappear in the light.

Outside, the black hole exploded.

Leena could barely hold back her tears.

“No…” Jamie said.

Dr. Tauros just gasped.

“Amazing…that boy,” Omiru said.

“No…” Leena said weakly.

“Heh heh, see ya Leena…” Kiyo’s last words filled the cockpit as his image dissolved.
