Episode 18: Sesshomaru and Kirinmaru
Towa and Setsuna are able to escape Konton's spell which twists the space around them. Elsewhere, Moroha is alone facing Totetsu.
Returning to Konton, he has created his shikigami, Wind Lion and Thunder Lion to fight the twins. The girls easily crumble the lions. Konton tells the girls that the seven rainbow pearls combined form a power that should not exist. This is why Lady Zero scattered them across the lands.
Konton produces another shikigami, a huge blue ogre. Setsuna fights the blue ogre while Towa takes on Konton. She soon realizes that they are still in the eight field escape trap. Towa (along with Konton's own incarnation) manages to defeat Konton. The trap disappears, and the girls are able to meet up with Moroha.
With all three girls against him, Totetsu escapes. He inadvertently leads the girls right to Kirinmaru.
As expected, Kirinmaru (Beast King ruling the four perils) is extremely powerful. He takes on the half and quarter demon girls, but is really just testing their strength due to the prophecy that a half demon will take his head. When he grew tired of them, he raises his sword about to strike them down for good. That is when Sesshomaru arrives.
The two strongest demons engage in battle. Their confrontation causes the heavens and earth to resound when they cross each other. Kirinmaru suddenly stops and before leaving says, "Your daughters are not sufficient enough to threaten my life. However, Sesshomaru, I will still have you work for what I desire you to do." (Hmmmm... another thing to ponder?)
Elsewhere, Riku collected the blue rainbow pearl lying by Konton's body. What is he up to??
NOTE: Sesshomaru does not have much dialogue, but at least the girls have seen who their father is.
