Episode 17: Trap of the Two Perils
Riku visits Konton just as the latter is building an eight field escape trap meant for the half-demon princesses. Per Riku's suggestion, Konton makes Totetsu the keystone. In other words the two remaining of the Four Perils will get the girls into the trap.
Riku finds Moroha at the Corpse Dealer's place. He informs her that he knows where Totetsu is. The two hop on Takechiyo and soon pick up Towa and Setsuna. They arrive at a temple where Totetsu is about to eat a virtuous monk. This was all a ploy to lure the girls in as Totetsu doesn't think the monk looks that appetizing. Totetsu leads the girls on a chase right into Konton's trap.
Towa and Setsuna find themselves in large grassy area, while Moroha is in a mountainous ravine. All the while, Konton is manipulating the trap. He sends demons in to attack Moroha, and separates Towa and Setsuna. However, he underestimates Towa's sense of smell.
Earlier Setsuna cut herself to see if it was an illusion. Even separated, Towa could smell Setsuna's blood. She runs towards Setsuna telling her that Konton's spell twists the space around them, and it is making them go in circles. It's a Mobius strip she says. Knowing where rifts of demon energies clash, Towa and Setsuna are able to cut through and destroy the trap. They come face-to-face with Konton.
