Episode 09: Meifuku, the Meioju
Summary:
Moroha is sent out to slay the demon that captured the fortress of a military commander. She is upset when Towa and Setsuna are not interested in joining her due to their own goals (finding the dream butterfly). The corpse dealer tells them that they should put out a bounty for the dream butterfly, which just so happens to be that same amount that Moroha's task may fetch. The three end up joining forces once again.
When they arrive at the destroyed fortress, they find Konton, a demon and one of the Perils. A young turtle-like demon, Meifuku, joins the girls for he is seeking revenge. Seems Konton defeated his father, Meioujuu, and stole his armored shell, which is said to be impenetrable.
Towa and the others have a difficult battle against the speed spells and divine sword Konton wields. Towa attempts to stab Konton's armor and absorb the energy, but the plan does not work as the armor had its demon energy removed.
Meifuku becomes Towa's shield when he finds Moroha to be too scary. With the combined attacks of Meifuku's dark lightning cannon and Towa's sword, the armor on Konton detaches. With Towa's energy depleted, Konton is about to end her, But Moroha's "crimson dragon wave" and Setsuna's "cyclone burst" take him down. Before Moroha can finish the job, Konton escapes.
Meifuku is able to return the armor to his father's departed soul. Unfortunately, with Konton escaping, there is no bounty for the girls. (Boooo.... all that work for nothing.)
