EPISODES 1-3 BRIEF SUMMARIES

Replacement

In the opening scenes, the members of STN-J are involved in a witch hunt that subsequently ends in a capture by Amon.

The next day Robin arrives at the STN-J entrance only to find miscommunication and mistaken identity when trying to meet with Amon. She finally meets with Zaizen after taking a cappuccino break at Harry's. He takes her to a warehouse where Amon, Sakaki and Miho are already involved in a hunt.

Robin notices the witch is using Ogham symbols as a form of attack. She confronts him, and he retaliates. She uses her fire attacks to restrain him so the others can shoot at their target. Robin is informed that the witch is not dead, but hit with bullets of Orbo....a compound that essentially weakens a witch's abilities. Although the others are grateful for Robin's assistance, Amon is irritated and asks that Robin use her powers more efficiently. Factory had quite a mess to cleanup due to the fires she set .

Addicted to Power

A wealthy businessman, Misawa, is suspected of killing his partner by means of witchcraft. The cause of death was internal bleeding due to bruised internal organs. Fearing this man's power, the police fabricated a story to bring him to trial.

At STN-J, the members bring Robin up to speed in their meeting room. They explain their use of orbo to capture rogue witches. The meeting also involves a plan to hunt Misawa, who is supposed to get married within the next few days.

Later, while his fiancé is trying on her wedding dress, Misawa is lured to the chapel where he is confronted by a prosecutor and a cameraman. The cameraman wants to tape Misawa using his witchcraft and gets his chance when the prosecutor is killed. Members of STN-J enter the scene and surround Misawa, but he uses his power to hurl church pews at his pursuers. Robin stops him with her flames long enough for the others to shoot him with orbo.

The next day, during a press conference, Misawa's fiancé vows to carry on the business despite his missing status.

Dancing in Darkness

In order to retain his immortality, a witch by the name of Kurata must absorb the life's blood from witch descendants every 40 years. He does that by engulfing the person within a swarm of insects. What remains of his victims is a mummified corpse. When a recent corpse shows up in Japan, STN-J is put to work.

After a botched first attempt at capturing Kurata, Robin and Dojima visit a nursing home where the man's elderly wife resides. They obtain a picture which leads them to a secluded lake-side cabin. Kurata senses their arrival, but desperately needs more life's blood. He ventures to the highway where he attacks Sakaki using his swarm of insects. The other members of STN-J arrive just in time to save Sakaki. Robin again uses her powers to subdue the man so he may be captured. Without his needed fluids, Kurata's body turned to sand while at Factory.

It's later that evening and Robin brings Michael donuts for pinpointing the location of the cabin. He opens up and explains how he came to STN-J in the first place. (See explanation in his character summary.)
