Kirito arrived at the hospital only to find Sugou waiting for him in the parking lot armed with a knife. The maniac wants to kill the boy right then and there, but Kirito gets the upper hand. Realizing he is not in the virtual world, Kirito is able to restrain himself enough not to kill the man. Sugou is later arrested.

Inside the hospital, Kirito and Asuna have a tearful re-union.
