Satin: Story switches over to the view of the goddess pilots in this chapter.
Hint: Chapter is short and switches between scenes a lot.
Disclaimer: No, I don’t own Pilot Candidate, unfortunately, it isn’t mine.
Teela wondered, gracefully across the tiled room to face Errn- Laties. Her sorrowful eyes searched up into the goddesses face, searching, searching for answers.
One more fight…then…I can’t hold on any longer…
Teela flung open her eyes immediately. What was she thinking? Where did that come from? Was that really Teela? Teela looked around, but all that was there were Errn-Laties, and the other goddesses. She once more sent the direction of her wanting eyes up at Errn-Laties, as if for her to respond.
“Quick!” a voice called, interrupting her thoughts. Teela jetted up and started off for Errn-Laties, as if ready to jump in and go off for war again. “Grab the last smoothie before Rioroute takes it!” It was Gareas.
Teela relaxed, closed her eyes and sighed. She stepped down from the platform beside Errn-Laties, and slowly crossed back over to where the door was, and opened it, but hesitated, making one last quick glance at Errn-Laties before closing the door behind her.
“What’s her problem?” Gareas asked staring after her.
“Don’t know…” Rioroute responded questionably, putting down his smoothie on the hard, cold, marble table.

Teela held on to the dresser as she laid straight in one place on her back in her bed. She didn’t bother to move the covers, but simply laid on top of them, with her hands straight down by her sides, and her hair frayed out separately on the pillow. Teela didn’t even turn off the light, but just laid there. She rolled slowly onto her side, to face the window, making very small movements. Was she tired? Was that what it was? She closed her eyes slowly, as if to hint of the presence of her body needing to sleep, but she found out she wasn’t tired at all. Her mouth was tightly shut, her eyes open wide, gazing out into space, as slowly, slowly, her thoughts drifted back into her head.
Space…she repeated in her mind…Space, an endless whole…of nothing…a black quilted blanket, with white stitches and holes left, unfinished…left unfinished.
More thoughts poured into her head, as if someone else was pouring them, no, not Teela. She was unaware of these thoughts as they slipped into her mind, manipulating her, telling her something, but what?
Space…what is it? Why do I dwell in this endless dimension? Why do I stay here? What’s out there? What’s waiting for me…?
Finally, Teela realized what had been happening. She had been sucked into this state of mind that was so negative, as if someone was slowly trying to pull her in…deep…deep into those thoughts. Teela knew for sure. Teela knew that these weren’t her own thoughts. She knew that she would never let herself wonder that far. She was the leader, she was the one that was to keep the other pilots from what just happened to her, herself, Teela Zain Elmes…once again, she snapped out of it.
I must not let myself ponder such questions, I must, I must, I must go see Crow at once!
Teela sat up quickly pulling her self up, which made her sit back down for a little while, for she stood up too fast, and her eyes blacked out. As soon as her vision cleared, she stood up again, and rushed out the door into the lounge and grabbed a tray and a cup from the cabinet, filling it up with water. Teela then slowed her pace as she entered into the room where Dr. Revord sat, waiting.

“ Hey, Yuu, have you seen Teela? I was going to ask her about my new formation for the next battle,” Erts asked, looking at the piece of paper in his hand. Erts glanced back up at Yuu when he didn’t answer. As soon as he saw the look on Yuu’s face, he spoke immediately, making sure it was clear that he wasn’t looking forward to meeting Victim again. “You know, you never know when they may strike again…its always good to be prepared,” Erts said shrugging, and craning his neck to see what Yuu was doing. Apparently, Yuu was reading, which brought no surprise to Erts face. “Um…so have you seen Teela lately?” Erts asked again.
“Actually, no, I haven’t seen her since she told us she was going to go walk in the halls a little…go ask Tune, she might know,” Yuu said, not evening bothering to look up from his book.
“No, I already checked with her…oh ya… she’s probably with Dr. Revord,” Erts replied, sighing. “O well, she probably doesn’t want me to disturb her then.”

Really, Teela didn’t even want to talk to anyone, not even Dr. Crow. All she wanted to do, was solve this mystery, on her own.
“I don’t know,” she told Dr. Crow all about it. “The problem is, has it affected any one else yet? I mean these negative questions?”
“Out of the pilots, no. But out of the candidates, you will have to find out,” Dr. Revord said, turning his head in the direction of Teela’s worried face.
“But why would it affect the candidates? They are no harm-“ Teela paused in her place. “Wait…I remember overhearing Azuma speak to Dr. Croford about, about a girl candidate possessing overly high EX, about the same as me…but she cant control it easily, and she could have such a big reaction that it could blow up GOA…and that’s why she hasn’t became a pilot yet…I wonder if it has affected her! He said something about one day in the cafeteria, she was getting thoughts in her head…someone was speaking in her mind…” Teela said, pausing every now and then to let her comprehend her own words.
“Yes Teela, you must find her, and help her and yourself,” Dr. Revord said laying down again and turning to his side.
“No, not right away. I’m still not sure about a couple of things, and me and this girl’s problem my have nothing in common. I’m not the person who will bother one with questions that have no meaning.” Teela said confidently, turning on her heel and out the door to the faces of the other pilots, waiting anxiously.
