Everlasting Dreams, Endless Possibilities

Satin: I must admit, part of this chapter was sweet, and the other part is so screwed up, but let me tell you this, Azuma was drunk in this scene!!
Disclaimer: No, I don’t own pilot candidate, it’s not mine, unfortunately.
Karissas stomach churned when she heard the words “ What happened”. That’s all she needed to hear to know what the question was. Karissa sat blinded, as her memories flooded back into her brain. It played over and over again, with the words still ringing in her mind.
Finally, she snapped out of her gaze as Roko spoke.
“Karissa?” He asked even worried than before, so karissa knew her face showed her emotions.
Her eyes, swelled with pain, her eyebrows raised worried.
Obviously, he could see tears in her eyes, for he put his other hand on her shoulder very lightly, and turned to face her frontward.
He had totally forgotten about his computer, which had all kinds of different images displaying now.
Karissa quickly looked down. She wasn’t about to let any one see her cry, and especially Roko.
But there was something awkward, a question that hadn’t been answered, and still lingered in her mind. Why was she so upset? Normally, she would of just freaked a little, but not ever faint or cry. That was WAY out of the limit to do over something that could of just been her imagination. Especially for Karissa.
Then it struck her. The pain. She remembered the pain that had taken over her whole entire body in the cafeteria, like someone was trying to force there way into her mind. It was a pain, deeper than the one she had felt that long ago…
No! Karissa spoke to her self softly, trying to forget what she had thought of. I wont compare it to that! I just wont! Karissa cried to herself in her mind, which was like a magnet to those feelings, and didn’t let them go away. The pain had now tripled, getting bigger as she thought of every thing, everything she thought of was the problem.
She couldn’t bare it any longer. Karissa tried to stand up and get out of the nurses room, but she couldn’t. A tear ran down her soft face, smearing her mascara.
It was too much. She couldn’t take it any longer. The pain was throbbing in her head, as if it wouldn’t stop coming. Karissa fled out of the stuffy room, and in her dorm with Roko at her heels. But instead of finding it empty, it was consumed of Kizna and Saku, the last to people she ever wanted to run in to. Karissa pivoted around, and busted through the door only to find herself sobbing face to face in Rokos arms.
“ OK OK OK , just don’t fall on me zero or your gonna end up with a black eye!” Brint said, trying his hardest to push hero up to the small window of the nurses office.
They had been wondering what had happened to Karissa, and they just had to find out, so they snuck out of lunch and had came to the nurses office which was locked, of course, so they were trying to get up to the little window.
“What are you doing?” Azuma said, dropping his coffee.
“Oh um, sorry sir!” Brint said, letting go of zero and letting him fall on the ground behind him.
“OOWWW!! THANKS A LOT BRINT!! LOVE YOU TOO!!!!!”
“Go to lunch right this second and if I ever catch ya’ll again then…um… just go to lunch!!!” Azuma said, embarrassed again as always.
As soon as brint and zero ran off, Azuma stepped up to the door on his tip toes to see what was really going on in there for him self, but he couldn’t reach the window.
“OK OK, you can come back now,” Azuma sighed as zero and brint stepped out from the door way.
“Ok, Azuma you have to be on the bottom since you’re the biggest. And zero, you have to be on the top since you’re the lightest. And I will be the instructor and tell you when someone is coming.” Brint said while peeping around the corner to do his job.
“Oh and you give your self the easy job! Damn you Brint…” Azuma said, squatting to let zero on his back.
“ What's in there?” Azuma said, tired of holding zero.
“I cant see anything!! There's no one in there!” Zero replied, searching the room over again.
“WELL LOOK HARDER!!!!!” Brint cried from around the corner.
“What the hell do you think your doing Azuma!!??” A voice asked that wasn’t brints zeros, or azumas. “ If your looking for Karissa, she's not in there!!!”
Azuma dropped zero quickly and spun around to face the stranger that had caught them, only to see that it was Professor Croford.
Azuma turned quickly to brint, who was supposed to be on the look out.
“She came from the other way!!” Brint shrugged, helplessly.
Azuma mumbled something under his breathe, but no one could make out what he said.
“You two,” Dr. Croford stared at brint and zero, “Scatt!! And for you!” she turned her penetrating glare to Azuma, “ Your coming with me!” She yelled, disappointedly.
“Mother… where are you! Why did u leave me like this! You promised… you promised!” Karissa mumbled into the now wet shirt sleeve of Roko, oblivious of what was happing around her.
Roko carried her into not of the nurses room, but of her own dorm. He laid her on the bed, straining his ears to hear her words of agony.
Dr. Croford walked in that second, and without turning around, Roko began speaking to her softly, as if not to bother Karissa, or let her know that he was there, for fear she might stop talking.
“Its almost as… she’s sleeping” Roko whispered, staring at Karissas closed eyelids. “ But she's not… she's awake…”
“Ok bring her in my office I-“ Dr. Croford began, but didn’t finish.
“No, she's better off here, she doesn’t need more than one person staring over her.” Roko said, not caring that Dr. Croford was of higher authority.
“ I understand.” Dr. Croford replied, slipping silently through the door, leaving Karissa and Roko, together.
