Chapter Two: A Challenge Accepted

The boys gave her directions; she thanked them and wandered off down the hall. She found her dorm and walked in. The repairers she was sharing the room with looked up at her. She handed the nearest girl a slip of paper Dr. Croford had given her. She looked at the girl and the girl smiled.

“Ok I’m Saki and welcome to your new dorm.” The redhead welcomed.

      “I’m Ikhny.” Said the quiet looking brunette.

“My name’s Wrecka.” Said the blue-haired girl.

“I am Tsukasa.” Said the long purple-haired girl.

“And I’m Kizna, nice ta meet ya.” Said the pink-haired cat-eared girl on the bunk waving.

Skai nodded to each and took Ikhny’s pen and paper using telekinesis. She wrote down her name and added:

This is my EX. 

“So you’re not a repairer?” asked Kizna.

Skai shook her head and wrote down how she liked to listen to people but hated talking. The other girls nodded and talked about their daily lives for Skai.

Just then the Alarm blared and everyone rushed to the window. Everyone except Skai. She rushed to her mecha. She hopped in and prepared to launch then remembering that she wasn’t to leave unless she was needed.

“Aqui-Keameia shield us, the rest of you only fend them off if you have to.” Teela shouted the orders quickly.

“They’re in groups.” Said Tune to Erts. “Type B’s and A’s.”

“Yuu watch out!” yelled his sister from the controls but it was too late. The Victim had caught him off guard and now he was being hammered.

“Tellia-Kallisto!…YUU!!!” yelled Gareas from the Eeva-Leena.

He was about to go help out but Teela stopped him. “Focus on your job first!” She yelled fending off Victim.

Not wanting to disobey Teela Gareas fought his part, but urgently wanted to help Yuu.

Just then a streak of shining purple shot out towards Yuu slashing through the Victim and destroying them all. Then it shot through the other Victim. But as soon as it had killed the Victim it disappeared. The other pilots looked around and saw nothing. No one knew who or what it was all they knew was that it saved Zion, for now.

Satisfied Skai returned to her room as if nothing had happened. She was reading a little before dinner and she took her time getting there. When she got there she saw that someone had started a food fight. She walked through slowly creating a force field around herself. When she made her way to a table that hadn’t been touched she sat down and ate. After a while she found that everyone had stopped fighting and was looking at her. She merely let down her shield and continued eating, then she walked out of the mess hall content.

She continued this routine of going out with her goddess, saving the pilots’ butts, but only if necessary, and keeping her identity a secret for 2 weeks. Then one night, as she was taking an evening stroll, Force approached her in the hallway.

“I want a match with you in the fencing arena tomorrow morning not using your EX. Ok?”

Skai simply nodded and looked out the window. This irritated Force.

“WHY WON’T YOU TALK TO ME?!?!?!?!?!” he yelled in frustration.
