Chapter Two
Forgiveness
“Dana you ok?” A voice asked me.
I opened my eyes and looked at the girl sitting next to me. She was smiling, to be honest Phil always had a smile on her face. Her green eyes were full of cheer, as her brown hair with the big yellow bow in the back looked; Phil looked a lot like a child.
“Yeah Phil I’m fine,” I replied.
To tell you the truth I wasn’t fine. That day I hated so much, I hated Gare and Rioroute because of that day. Leena I figured out later had nothing to do with it. I still had that day in my mind, I hated it. I got up and turned to walk away when I saw Gareas walk in. I never talked to him, and he knew why so he didn’t bug about it. Even though the day my EX went out of control Gare was the one helping me.
Flash Back
“Dan, what is taking Leena so long?” Gare asked.
“Listen take her and I’ll go and find the Doc,” Rioroute said.
Gare grabbed me, this was before I blacked out. He looked at all the blood, when he pulled a blue bandana out of his pocket. He tied the bandana around my head to keep the blood from coming out. I could still see him, he was helping me. I guess he didn’t mean for my EX to go out of control.
“Hang in there Dana please just hold on,” He said to me.
I just looked at him; the last thing I saw was his deep green eye looking at me. Then I blacked out.
Maybe I should forgive him, he was the one who saved me. Just then I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned around quickly. It was Gare.
“What do you want?” I asked calmly.
“Can I talk to you?” He asked me.
“Yeah I’m all ears,” I said.
“I mean in the relaxation room,” Gare said.
“Ok fine,” I said.
I followed him; we walked into the relaxation room. It was empty, Gare let out a sigh of relief.
“He sat down by a tree and I sat next to him. I looked at him, he looked down on the ground not even trying to make eye contact.
“So what did you want to talk to me about?” I asked.
“It’s about what happened when we were candidates before you became a pilot,” He began.
“Yeah what about it?” I asked.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that anger made Ex’s go out of control,” Gare said, “ I didn’t understand how much you were hurting when it went out of control.”
“But I do now,” He added.
“How do you know that?” I asked.
“Because the same thing happened to me before I became a pilot,” He said, “ It hurt so much I couldn’t bear it.”
His eyes started to water. He felt the same pain as I had. I looked at him, cupped my hand, put it under his chin, and lifted his head up so we made eye contact.
“It’s ok, I know how much it must hurt,” I said.
He looked at me and grabbed the hand I had cupped under his chin. I looked at what he was doing, what was I feeling. Just suddenly we kissed, I couldn’t believe it. I pulled away, but then went back, we kissed again. What was I doing, why were we kissing, is this love? It is. I love Gareas, and he loves me. I still can’t believe that just happened. This time he pulled away. We just starred at each other; did he expect something like that? Did I even expect it?
“Wow that was interesting,” He finally said.
I laughed, he soon joined me, but our laughter was cut short because alarms started going off.
“Victim,” Gareas said.
I nodded; we both got up and ran to the hanger. The others were already in there. Gare jumped in EEVA-LEENA and I jumped in ERRN-CHIRDORI. My Goddess looked the same as Teela’s it was it’s twin. The Goddess’s launched as soon as the hanger door opened. Teela was the first out, then I, then Yuu, Rioroute, Erts, and finally Gareas.
