| SYNOPSIS
Daigunder or "Bakuto Sengen Daigander" as it was named in Japan, aired from April to December of 2002, and there are 39 episodes. This series can be compared to many of the Anime you are already familiar with. The main character, with the desire to win the top prize, is similar in looks and personality to Tyson of Beyblade. The talking shifter robots can be compared to Transformers. And it's quite often that we see a fun-loving genius adult....(think Dr. Aki in Medabots). The story takes place in the future where talking robots are common. During this time there exists the "Battle Robot League", which holds tournaments to determine the strongest and most skillful. Not only the robots, but their trainer as well are put to the test (kind of like Pokemon). During the battle the trainer offers commands as they ride a hovercraft protected within a bubble-like force field. Points are added or subtracted based on performance. An opponent loses when their points hit 0 (just like Yu-Gi-Oh). The series is fun as well as humorous. The animation itself is beautiful with bright/crisp colors and intricate designs in the Mecha. To wrap things up...one more comment...I am confident stores will be carrying your favorite Daigunder robot toy by Christmas!
