Looks like the Sci Fi Channel is adding more to their already impressive collection of anime on Ani-Mondays. Anime News Network reported that the spinoff, "Highlander: The Search for Vengeance," will air on July 30th at 11:00 p.m. That's it for the news this week....things are pretty quiet.

Fans of Trinity Blood should note that the series has returned to Adult Swim. It airs 1:30am (Eastern) on Sunday Mornings or some like to call it late Saturday night. In addition, Cartoon Network is holding quite a Pokemon Marathon beginning at 6:00am (Eastern) on Saturday, June 2nd. The episodes will be running all weekend. You can see the line-up on the great Anime on TV.

On to the news: Why does the Sci-Fi Channel getting anime excite me so much? It's because we actually get that channel!! In trying to keep costs down, we had to cut down on cable...that meant NO "Toon Disney, Encore or Starz." Ouch that really hurt. However, Sci-Fi we have...YIPPEE. It is entitled "Ani-Monday" and consists of a two hour, late-night block (11:00pm to 1:00am) of Manga Entertainment titles. The latest poll reflects most of the titles that will air.

Anime Central is underway close to Chicago! With it comes announcements. Funimation has acquired the short series, "Black Blood Brothers." Media Blasters has announced they've acquired "Simoun." And ADV is the company that's gone Gonzo this time. They've acquired "Red Garden", "Pumpkin Scissors", "Magikano", and "Welcome to the NHK."

Finally, Jeff Nimoy posted on the With The Will Forums the voice actors for the soon-to-air Digimon Data Squad. Looks like a great cast to me! Crispin Freeman as Touma...yeah! I think his work is great!
